Pearadise is perfect for all seasons. Summer is warm, ideal for shorts or swimsuit all day, with plenty of time for romantic evenings at the many local restaurants and entertainment venues.
During the fall, winter and spring, you’ll enjoy fishing, watching birds and river life, and taking hikes or biking in nearby Armstrong Woods, and wine tasting.
Pearadise is located 1/2 mile from downtown Guerneville in the Russian River Resort area. It is a short drive (2 minutes) to Korbel champagne cellars and many Russian River Valley wineries in the dry creek area (20 minutes). We can accommodate off-street parking for four compact cars.
In your consideration of vacation rentals, it's important to note that Pearadise is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and our vacation rental license with Sonoma County limits us to a maximum of 12 overnight guests (+ 2 day visitors), quiet hours between 10 pm and 9 am and no outdoor amplified sound at any time. Quiet dinners on the decks are fine, but our property could not be used as a "venue" for a large party or celebration out of respect for our neighbors.

Why Penny & Mike Bolger chose Guerneville
Our families have been vacationing at 'The River' since Penny's grandfather rode the train from San Francisco to his 'cabin in the redwoods' in the late 1800's. Over the past 100+ years, 5 generations of our families have spent their vacations and holiday weekends here! In 2007, Penny & Mike purchased and remodeled 'Pearadise' to provide the most comfortable and fun year round vacation retreat for our expanding family. We use the income from VRBO (since January 2009) to maintain and improve the property. Our latest project was to build in a fireplace and mantel (to restore the one that was removed when the house was raised by the previous owners) and replace the carpet with a 'green' product (made from recycled plastic pop bottles.) Our goal is to provide a clean, green, bright, comfortable and 'turn key' vacation home for our family and yours.
What makes this House unique
We love being ON the river: water sports (swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, etc.), visiting friends on the river, exploring, fishing, and observing (people during the warm Summer and spectacular nature during the pleasant Spring and Fall and even in the chilly Winter!) We also enjoy BBQing and entertaining on our spectacular deck, cooking in the great kitchen and bar areas, gaming and movies in the downstairs 'game room' and having lots of room for folks to 'do their own thing' too. Local activities that we like to do include: hiking and biking (especially in Armstrong Woods and around Austin Creek), eating in the many good local restaurants, wine tasting treks, driving out to the ocean (Jenner is only 10 miles away), shopping in the funky town of Guerneville, movies at the Rio Theater, Pee Wee golf and many annual events and festivals (Jazz & Blues festivals, Civil War Days, Stumptown Parade, July 4th fireworks, Bohemian Show, Sonoma County Fair, Apple Fair, Vine Man triathlons, RR rodeo, and Wine Road activities to name just a few.)

Great location, great accommodations!
We brought 5couples in for a wine tasting weekend. The house is in a great location. The beds were very comfortable with extra pillows and blankets. The kitchen was very well supplied, better than most HomeAway properties. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.
Spring Break Family Fun
It was a perfect set up for our group! We had 4 adults and 5 teens. Adults had the top level and the teens had their own floor too! This place has everything you need for the stay in the kitchen and through out the house. We went right after Easter so we didn't have the warmest weather but we still had a great time. Armstrong Forest is minutes away and our group had never been so it was a great day out! We hope to go back when it is warmer!
We had a really lovely time at this house. The owners made everything really convenient for us. The kitchen was really well stocked for a larger group, plenty of utensils and glasses, etc. Perfect location for biking and hiking. Sadly the river was a little too full and fast for kayaking but the hot tub more than made up for it. No complaints at all! Thank you!!
Delightful property for a group
The house was great for our group of 6 women; plenty of room to be together AND to be apart! Beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was magical. The kitchen is stocked with everything you can imagine so if you like to cook this is your place. The living room is cozy with a lovely fireplace for warmth and atmosphere. The back family room and game room downstairs are perfect for groups who like to do a lot of different activities; cards, games, eating and drinking. Penny and Michael were super helpful with two minor issues (a noisy heater which they got repaired and missing bathmats which they resupplied). The only negative was the fact that the house has many stairs. Loading and unloading the cars was a challenge but once we were all in it was wonderful. Close to the redwoods and the beach, and cute shops in Guerneville that you can walk to. And if you need anything a greatly stocked hardware store is right across the street. We were there in winter so we didn't get to use the many decks and steps-away riverfront too much although the hot tub is under cover which makes it usable year round.
Great experience, lovely home, excellent communication by owners.
Great space for large group
We are a large group consisting of 3 families with small children and it was GREAT fun with plenty of space for all our kiddos to run around upstairs and downstairs. The space was very clean and the location is great (super close to downtown). We grilled steaks on the BBQ the first night and they had everything with needed to make all of our meals from breakfast to dinner for all the days we were there. Although it was a little chilly, we were still able to all go down to the dock and admire the beauty and serenity that the river offered. The rooms were comfortable and clean and there were enough beds for everyone, plus some that weren't used at all. This is a great space for a large group.
