Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week at the Mount N Sea and were very pleased. We had 22 people staying for a memorial service near by and folks came from all over the country. It was a great place to welcome friends and family to Maine and from which to venture out to see all that the mid coast has to offer. The views of Penobscot Bay are amazing from the front porch and most of the bedrooms. We made good use of the kitchen and had no problem preparing and feeding the group. We were thrilled with a double rainbow over Penobscot Bay and even enjoyed a foggy evening when Maurice and Jackie prepared a lobster feed for 42 of us! I'd definitely go back! Fun times around the campfire---plenty of good dry wood provided for us each day, too, was a nice bonus! Thank you, Maurice and Jackie!

Great week at the Mount 'n Sea Inn

  • 5 of 5

We had our annual family reunion/vacation during the first week of August at the Mount 'n Sea Inn. What a great week! It was our first visit and we'd love to return. It's hard to capture the old Maine charm of the house in the listing and pictures - there's nothing more relaxing that sitting on the front porch and enjoying the panoramic views of Penobscot Bay. The house is great for a large group or extended family - there is enough room for everyone. The owners, Maurice and Jackie, do a great job maintaining the house and were very attentive to make sure we had a great time. Maurice helped members our our group arrange for a day of ocean fishing - which was a great success. The Mid Coast of Maine is a great area - the house is located close to Camden and Belfast. There is a large Hannaford Supermarket in Belfast where you can stock up on groceries and the nearby Wentworth Family Market has a great butcher shop. The house has a large fire pit with lounge chairs which made for fun nights of making smores and sharing stories under the star lit sky while being entertained by the DJ system in the barn. We did a day sail out of Camden on the Schooner Suprise www.schoonersurprise.com which we really enjoyed and visited the nearby Cellar Door Winery - I would highly recommend both. Maurice is full of suggestions and ideas if you need any tips or suggestions about activities or attractions. It was tough to leave and return to the real world but all vacations come to an end. We're looking forward to a return visit!

Perfect Setting for DIY Wedding

  • 5 of 5

My wife, Marie, and I got married on June 27th, 2015 here at the Mount 'N Sea Inn and we couldn't have been happier with the location, the property, the hospitality from Maurice and Jackie and our big day! We celebrated with about 135 people and had perfect weather for the entire day.

This property is perfectly suited for a Do-It-Yourself style celebration and begins to show its true charm the more you personalize it. The inn provides all of the amenities one would need for a week's stay in coastal Maine. A HUGE bonus is the rustic barn out back, as well as the availability of a couple of large tents and a number of tables and chairs. On top of it all, the owners - Maurice & Jackie - are very welcoming and helpful in making sure your stay is just the way you want it.

Check out the Mount 'N Sea Inn on Facebook to see photos of some of our personal touches for the wedding.

Amazing house with extremely helpful owners!

  • 5 of 5

The Inn at Mount n Sea was absolutely perfect. We stayed in the house for a week with 16 friends. Maurice and Jackie went beyond our expectations and met our every need. The house has a lot of character but you should expect nothing less in Maine! The indoor fireplace was fantastic as was the outdoor fire pit. Maurice made sure that everything was ready for the wedding reception including the catering, the tent and getting everything set up the day of the event. I would absolutely recommend this location. The house is perfect for a large group, the view is spectacular and the barn and tent was the perfect spot for our wedding reception (35 people). We can't thank Maurice and Jackie enough for an incredible week and wedding reception. We especially love the glitter on the dance floor!
