Recently renovated. With free wifi, free use of washer and dryer. Our location is unbeatable, 2 blocks from the Moscone center, in SoMa district, next to Marriott Courtyard hotel. 6 Blocks from Union Square a few blocks form the Ferry building, you could walk almost everywhere.
As I write we are just preparing to leave (so who knows, something non-fabulous could happen in the next 2 hours).
John has a number of apartments in this building, I'm sure they are all in the same great condition as this one. Well decorated, obsessively clean, everything functioning as it should. Outstanding bedding and linens (which is a real test point for us). Since I worked some, including a two hour conference call, having the office in the back of the apartment looking out over the garden was a nice add.
We were greeted by a wonderful spread of fruit, crackers, chips and wine. There are so many great restaurants that I did not cook (I usually do). But the kitchen is well equipped, ready to go.
The location is great, very convenient to the major tourist attractions and especially to Moscone if you're in for a conference or show. 200 feet to Starbucks, a block and a half to Umbria, a great Italian restaurant where I got to use my Italian with the waiters. We walked 15 minutes to Cirque du Soleil at ATT Park, 7 minutes to Moscone and the Museum of Modern Art. 12 minutes to Union Square.
There is a cab stand right around the corner, and you are 8 minute walk to the Bart station.
When I booked, I was a little concerned about the proximity to the freeway entrance. And in fact the apartment is very close to the ramp and there is some road noise. But even though the bedroom faces the street, John has worked it to keep the noise to a minimum. My wife who is a fanatic about a quite room found it satisfactory.
We don't know mutch about the relative safety of San Francisco neighborhoods, but we never felt any issue while we were here.
We've stayed in a lot of Homeaway type properties. This is one of the excellent ones. We are thinking about returning with freinds, just because this is such a great place to stay in a great city.
Comfortable apt. as portrayed. Only had one problem, but contacted Rose and she responded in about an hour and had the problem fixed. Main bedroom along fairly busy street, but "noise machine" provided in room and we slept well. Kitchen has dishes and cooking pans, but nothing extensive. Coffee maker and toaster. We just kept breakfast supplies here and ate other meals out. Had some issues with TV. It wanted to do "software updates" and we didn't know how to work around it. Location within a few blocks of bus stop. Walked to Fisherman's Wharf from here, but it was a hike. Mostly used bus to get around.
Our stay was amazing! Nice and spacious! It was exactly what I wanted on this trip! Close to the piers. The only issue was the construction. Once that is done it would be perfect! Thank you and I would stay again
Nice unit close to Moscone center and much better then a hotel room!!
Great location, close to restaurants, shopping, and the bay. We made a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner using the kitchen. Very clean and comfortable. Owners very responsive to questions and requests.
We found staying at this rental was great for attending a conference/activities at the Moscone Center. 5 minute walk thru safe territory so you can "head home" between lectures/ events. Mall shopping nearby as well as plenty of places to eat. Easy walk to the piers. Apartment was clean and kitchen was stocked for cooking. Access to outside patio/private space (although shared) was very nice. I did not find it too noisy even though construction was nearby. I would recommend to others and would stay again. No on-site parking so do your homework on parking if you bring a car. Parking in SF can be costly. Bus stop is at your door and bike share is nearby.
