Not a Pleasant VRBO Experience
The property is perfect in so many ways. It is explained in its description perfect. We stayed in August 2022. You cannot swim from the property, I do not believe that is stated. Very shallow and grassy other than that the description is spot on. The home was remodeled inside, not by professionals. They did not do a bad job but you can tell a lot of Do It Yourself projects were done. When we arrived the railings (beautiful new wire like railings) inside the home's staircase had been installed in properly and the middle ones were off. We had young children with us so I wanted it fixed therefore, I asked my family members to get their toolboxes out of their trucks to fix. When we walked upstairs to put away our groceries the refrigerator door handle was not attached. Also a nice new fridge just not put together properly. I had my husband and brother in law fix that too. The home appeared neat and clean but it really was not clean per say. Tidied up is more like it to present cleanliness. A lot of the homeowners personal items were not put away but stored in the closets (a mess) making some spaces in the bedrooms and bathrooms not usable. The downstairs rooms you did not want to open the closet or draws in burrows. Messy and dirty. Towards the end of our stay a woman showed up at the home and rudely told us we had to leave and that we were over staying our welcome. We had to get out our paperwork to show her check out was not for 2 more days. Even once she realized she was wrong the woman continued to be rude; instead of being apologetic. So unnecessary. I would never write any of this in a review except almost a month later I received an email stating an insurance claim of $320 was made for us breaking electronic blinds. Not only is this untrue nor ever stated or even asked to us. These blinds worked beautifully why we were there. After everything we fixed, cleaned and endured from the family friend that stopped by on "OUR VACATION" another $320 for something we did not do was the icing on the cake for this stay. In my opinion the money we spent for one week in this home was absolutely not worth it between the cleaning, the broken items we fixed and the rudeness. Not what you expect when you go on a vacation.
