This is a comfortable, bright 1 double bed with a modern en-suite on a first floor of a delightful Victorian Building. Located at the Holland Park side of Kensington. In addition there is a full use of modern kitchen and a lovely Living/dining room. only the Kitchen may be shared from time to time with one owner who is usually not around. Perfect for professional couple or single .The kitchen is fully equipped and very clean. You will find anything to cook and feel like at home.

The bedroom is welcoming and bright. There is a comfortable double bed, reading chair, side table, mobile air conditioner and ample of storage. Fresh Beds linen and towels are provided.

This safe and clean flat in fact has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is kept by the owner who is a female economist, works abroad most of the time. The main bedroom with en-suite shower/WC together with the Kitchen and the living room is being let out with Les rental price then the similar other flats in the area. Because the living room and the kitchen might be shared with the owner from time to time If she is in London. If not, the owner closes her room and leaves the rest of the apartment to the guest. As a result, this is definitely the right place to enjoy London in a well looked after home.

The flat is situated in a very quiet, tree lined peaceful side road in between High Street Kensington and Holland Park Avenue. Kensington is the best part of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

With the direct buses and stations (Kensington Olympia and Shepherd Bush on central and circle lines), this property will provide you an ideal base from which to discover London’s main attractions. Stations are only 5 to 7 minute's walk away.

Further, for those who like walking, Holland Park, Westfield Shopping Centre, Notting Hill, Portobello Market, Kensington Palace and Royal Albert Hall, all are in walking distant .

There is a corner convenience shop and 2 reasonably priced famous restaurant just around the corner. Also many other coffees, restaurants, pubs and markets are in between 1 to 10 minutes walk.

Only if the landlady is not in London, out-of-office hours (8 pm to 8 am) checking fee is £40.

Good transport, Very good area, very safe, Clean, Comfortable and positive, Compare to other similar properties in the area, this is very cheap. Also very relaxing and positive.

Kensington's Holland Park area is one of the best part of London.

What makes this apartment unique

Area, the Location, transport and the flat itself. I just love living here. Especially in Spring I enjoy the blossoms in the road. I love being very close to the Holland Park, the Nothing Hill, the Portobello, the royal Albert Hall etc. All are in walking distance. Every body that stayed here loved being in the flat and, in the area. A female German solicitor, came to live here for 2 month and stayed 11 month until she went back to Germany. There are regular single ladies from USA and from Canada comes every year. There are several markets and shops just around the corner.

The apartment was clean and well located. Convenient to train/underground and buses.

Maria was lovely. Very interesting, kind and helpful. She helped me figure out ground transport in a London. Educated me about the neighborhood and the sights in London. She even took me to the hospital when I tripped (not at her apartment) and needed medical attention. Highly recommend her flat. Thanks!

Nice flat convenient to the tube.

We enjoyed our stay. The flat was in a nice neighborhood with nearby eateries and a short walk to the tube. Also within walking distance to Hyde Park. Well maintained interior of the flat.

A Lovely Flat - Clean and Comfortable

Summary Review:

The flat was very nice. Clean, comfortable and has all the amenities that you need. It's in a nice location - approximately 10 minute walk to the Shepherd's Bush Tube station (Central Line) and the bus stop is right around the corner from the flat. There are 3 restaurants & a convenience store close by and a pub a few blocks down. There is also a shopping mall near the tube station and many good restaurants. We would stay here again.

More Details:

If you are coming from Europe or outside the U.S., you will feel right at home. If you are coming from the U.S., you need to be aware that this is a typical European sized condo. The rooms are smaller than is typically found in the U.S., so you may feel a bit cramped. However, you have plenty of space to enjoy your stay and the unit has all the amenities you should need.

The unit is on the 1st Floor (2nd floor by U.S. terms, so you need to walk up one floor - there is no lift/elevator). There is a small kitchen with a stove, dishwasher & washer/dryer. We did use the washer/dryer a couple times, but it's a small washer (a few pieces at a time) and the dryer doesn't really dry very well, so there is a drying rack in the unit as well so you can hang your clothes. We used the dryer first then hung the clothes to finish drying overnight.

The unit is advertised with air conditioning, but in typical European fashion, the air conditioning is a fan. We were unfortunate in that it was unusually hot during our visit (reaching up to 34C/93F outside) and as a result it got very warm inside the unit (as high as 29.5C/85F inside), so the fan only helped marginally. Please note, that this weather is VERY unusual for London and the chances that you will experience this are very low. However, the main point to note is that there is not formal AC in the unit.

The homeowner, Maria, is very nice and easy to work with. She was responsive whenever we reached out to her and we truly appreciated that. Maria has some very nice Turkish rugs in the unit, so she will ask you to remove your shoes at the door and not wear shoes inside the flat (she provides a hanging shoe rack on the back of the door as well as a cabinet near the door where you can store your shoes). This is also a strictly non-smoking flat, which we also appreciated.

All-in, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we return to the same area. I would recommend staying here if the flat is available during your visit!

It was a very good experience.

Maria was very accommodating and was very helpful if I needed directions or information about London. She respected my space . I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone. She even gave me a tour of London on her day off!!

Everything you could want in a London stay...

As a 'Holiday Rental Agent' who handles a lot of properties in Australia, I really loved this flat/apartment. It is beautifully renovated, furnished, equipped and presented, with lots of thoughtful touches to ensure a memorable and delightful stay. As clean as a new pin with lovely linens and towels etc., the location is both convenient and safe. There are restaurants/cafes and a local supermarket/ off-license just around the corner. Maria very kindly collected me from the tube station (being an Aussie) and showed me around most hospitably before dashing off to have a mini holiday herself. Well done Maria. You had a very happy guest who will come back again to your lovely apartment.

The nearest over/under ground Olympia and Shepherd Bush are both 5 minutes’ walk away. If you walk to left from our house you reach to High Street Kensington within 4 minutes. You will see Hilton Olympia on the left and Olympia exhibition center on the right. Hilton side of High Street Kensington takes you to Kensington, the other side to Hammer Smith area. There a stores , restaurants cafes and supermarket at both side and are 2 to 5 minutes’ walk. Also there are buses to every direction. From the flat, if you walk to the right side, in 2 minutes, you reach to beautiful Holland Park Avenue that lead to Nothing Hill another 2 minutes takes you to Shepherd Bust station and to europe's biggest Shopping Center West field.
