If waking up to private and unobstructed views of sunrises, sunsets and the entire island than our Penthouse unit #701 is definitely the property to consider for your next getaway. Our 1650 square foot unit is located in the newest Ixchel Condo phase-II which is positioned right on Playa Norte beach, truly the most spectacular white sand beach in the entire Mayan Riviera. As you exit the elevator into the lobby from your private Penthouse condo it is only a few steps past our refreshing pool (with large in pool tanning ledge) and you step out onto the soft sand beach which offers warm turquoise waters ready for all water activities or maybe just leisurely float with friends and your favorite cool beverage. Ixchel-II offers complimentary beach towel, beach loungers, umbrellas and beverage/food service right to the waters edge. Bring your own refreshments or just allow yourself to be spoiled and pampered by the friendly staff.

After a full day of sun and sand just return to your Penthouse retreat to relax and refresh with a cool shower. The 660 square foot L-shaped terrace provides you with a shaded covered area, all day tanning area and unlimited choices of island views from the tallest vista on the island. This unit also offers you the choice of preparing meals or snacks from your well equipped kitchen or just call for room service.

In the evening after toasting your personal sunset its just a short 1/2 block walk to Hidalgo Street, take a leisurely stroll up the quaint cobblestone main street of Isla and investigate the smorgasbord of ethnic restaurants, retail shops (featuring the local artisans)live entertainment and exceptional local restaurants specializing in fresh seafood and traditional Mayan cuisine. We had a perfect time staying in #701. It is our new favorite place to stay. We usually stay in #709 but we like your home. It is much larger, the bathrooms are much bigger, and the beachview and the downtown view are the best. We visit each year ( maybe more in the future) and we will only stay here from now on.!

What a great stay!

We had the wonderful opportunity of staying in your penthouse for the most amazing honeymoon anyone could wish for. The location, layout, furnishing, view, beach, in short, EVERYTHING, was just perfect. We particularly enjoyed the large balcony with wonderful views. The weather was also perfect for the whole week of our stay. We would most definitely recommend #701 to each and everyone and will make an effort to be back there, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Beautiful condo and fantastic views

My husband and I stayed at #701 Ixchel over the 4th of July holiday weekend. The condo was absolutely terrific: clean, spacious, well kept, updated, and just as advertised and pictured on the website. The views were incredible (almost 360 degrees) and the outdoor space was a huge bonus for this unit. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Some of our favorite features of this rental:

Location: Beach is right outside your door. You can also walk to anywhere in Centro, great restaurants and shops.

Views: Gorgeous ocean and island views, and the best views of the sunsets over the water.

Amenities: Well equipped kitchen, with bottled water (even for the ice maker!), housekeeping daily. The pool looked clean and inviting (although we did not use it).

Staff: The staff were friendly, warm and super helpful. Especially Mauricio who took time to arrange a golf cart rental for us, and then mapped out a great itinerary for a drive around the island.

Beach: One of the best beaches we've been to, with soft white sand and a gentle slope. The water is super clear, and you can see to the bottom, even in 6+ feet of water.

Isla Mujeres itself is a wonderful place, where you can really feel like you are in Mexico (similar in feel to small towns like Akumel along the coast).

Finally, we would like to thank Brent for all his help. We had to make some changes to our reservation, and he was super patient, helpful and responsive! Gracias!

Paradise!

Brent and Day, many thanks for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your beautiful condo. Our visit was fantastic. Absolutely stunning views from all sides of the terrace. Sunsets and sunrises were a mandatory part of every day. The condo was great- very comfortable, nicely furnished, clean, and well maintained. The staff at Ixchel were friendly and accommodating, especially your concierge Mauricio who was outstanding. The location is incredibly convenient with all of Playa Norte at your fingertips, and downtown and multiple dining, shopping, and entertainment options just a quick stroll the other way.

All in all it was just a perfect getaway. We are already planning a return trip soon. Thanks again for everything!

Beautiful condo, beautiful view - highly recommended!

As owners of a vacation home our selves, my wife and I are VERY picky about where we stay and who we rent from on VRBO. I will tell you that this condo is absolutely perfect and beautiful, and a GREAT place to relax and soak up the beauty that is Isla Mujeres. You are on the top floor, and have a lot of privacy. GREAT view from the patio where we spend a lot of time. The owners have furnished and decorated the condo very well. A great touch was the LED "rope" lighting out on the huge deck (which you can access either from the bedroom or the living room.) The lighting allowed us to safely spend lots of time on the deck at night, but subtle enough to not be over bright.

Everything was clean, comfortable, and in excellent shape. My wife and I have traveled all over the world and literally stayed in dozens of luxury VRBO rentals - this condo was absolutely "world class." I had a few questions, and Brent, the owner, was timely and friendly with his reply. 5 stars all the way - you can't go wrong.

Perfect Penthouse

Thank you so much for allowing us to rent your beautiful and very comfortable penthousecondo at June 3-10. We absolutely LOVED it! From morning coffee on the porch, to the awesome restaurants a short walk away, beautiful beach and water, sunsets on the porch, and the very comfortable bed, we enjoyed it all! Your well furnished condo with the most awesome view was very much appreciated, and we hope to have the priviledge to stay there again. It was our first visit to Isla Mujeres and we will definitely be returning. Thank you!

R&R abounds at Ixchel

First & foremost, thank you for the lovely stay at Ixchel. This was our 25th anniversary & we couldn't have asked for anywhere better on Isla Mujeres. The views are beyond compare. The spacious terrace begged us to visit it as often as possible. Both the sunrises & sunsets were observed every day of our stay. The interior of the condo is equally as inviting. You won't lack for a thing. Overall, it was just an extremely comfortable place to call home during our stay. We feel very blessed to have been able to visit & stay here.
