KATT'S PTHS UNIT is a beautiful, beach front cottage ideal for a memorable vacation retreat. SLEEPS 1-5 PEOPLE.

This 2BR/1BA SECOND FLOOR unit is safe, private, clean and fully air-conditioned. The outside deck is a perfect spot for sunning or for quietly reading a book, surfing the internet, listening to the ocean surf, dolphin spotting, or enjoying a sunset.

We are on North Bimini close to the heart of everything! There are three marinas nearby - Bimini Big Game Club, Bluewaters and Seacrest. It's just a two-minute walk to the authentic Bahamian Arts and Crafts market and a stroll to freshly made conch salad at Fabien's or a seafood pizza from Edith's. For more of a dining experience try the Big Game Club or South Bimini Beach Club. Dance at Big John's or End of the World Bar and be comfortable knowing that home is just a short walk away. Go on a wild dolphin swim, bone fish the flats, check out the museums or just walk the beach.

About Bimini: Bimini is located approximately 50 nautical miles east of Miami, Florida. It is the first island in the archipelago chain of 700 islands and cays that comprise the Bahama islands and is referred to as the 'Gateway to the Bahamas.' It is divided into North and South Bimini with North Bimini being the main area of commercial activity and most populated. Bimini is most famous for its gin clear, turquoise waters, world record fishing and diving sites which include the Lost City of Atlantis and amazing deep wall drops. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. There are a number of small resorts, bars and restaurants frequented by the weekend boaters visiting from Florida. There is a 5000 foot landing strip on South Bimini with air service to South Florida, Nassau and Grand Bahamas. While here be sure to visit the Museum, the newly rebuilt Straw Market, take an eco trip to the bone fish flats or experience a wild dolphin swim.

Matt and Katt are both Bahamian born and raised. They have both worked in the Tourism industry for their adult lives in one capacity or another. Matt has lived in Bimini all his life and Katt has lived here for the past 24 years.

Perfect Vaction - Great Cottage...Great People...

Katt's Kottage is the perfect getaway cottage- steps to a beautiful beach, quaint and cozy, private, and PEACEFUL.!. the cottage is well furnished and very comfortable- bimini is a small island where we found the locals to be extremely friendly and welcoming. Matt and Katt are amazing hosts that were always available, yet respectful. The entire experience was beyond our expectations- If you are looking for a great place to "chill"- this is it!

Caribbean Get Away

The property was wonderful and the photos were accurate of the accommodations, with the exception of the view. No photo could do justice of how breathtaking the view is from the balcony. Katt & Matt were very gracious and accommodating to all of our needs. We look forward to going back and staying even longer on our next visit.

Perfect!!! Couldn't have possibly been ANY better!!!

Honestly, words are inadequate to describe Matt and Katt's Kottages...and the people who own it. The location is second to none! Beachfront facing the States, allows you to witness magnificent sunsets nightly and then the glow of Miami's nightlife on the horizon from your balcony after the sun goes down. The place is immaculately clean with ideal accommodations for those wanting to really experience the island, rather than just another resort or high rise hotel. Situated on the "High Road" in Alice Town, Matt & Katt's Kottages offer convenient access to all attractions of Bimini and to Royal Bank ATM. As most locals prefer cash transactions, this proved to be very handy.

As far as proprietors go, you couldn't ask for nicer people than Katt and Matt. They are friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and a genuine privilege to know. They answered every question and went above and beyond to make our stay on Bimini the holiday of a lifetime! We now consider Matt & Katt our friends!!! We highly recommend Matt & Katt's Kottages and can hardly wait to return!!

As advertised! Beautiful location on a beautiful island

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience staying at Katts Kottage. The location is literally right on the beach ( which is perfect for swimming or lounging) but also only a block or two from some of the best restaurants and shops in Bimini. We found the house very roomy, nicely renovated and the porch overlooking the ocean is fantastic (A/C works great too!). Katt and Matt were also great and informative throughout the stay. If you want to get away from a busy city and completely relax this is the place. We will go back.

Paradise found!

Let there be absolutely no doubt about it; Katts Kottage really is as good as all previous reviews say it is! It is exactly as presented in the pictures provided; perfectly clean everywhere, plenty of bathroom and beach towels for a week are provided, everything is in good working order, and they even showed up mid-week with complementary treats such as oven-fresh Bimini bread and fresh-off-the-palm-tree coconuts - the sign of owners who really go the extra mile to ensure that their guests feel welcome and are well taken care of. Katt herself is a real gem, and Matt (her husband) is the kind, ever-helpful handyman you can rely on for all practical matters. It also feels very safe and reassuring to know that they live next door. And the location - well, it couldn't be better. The beach feels almost private, and everything and everywhere on the island that matters is within safe and easy walking distance. The Biminites themselves are also friendly and kind to tourists, and always respond with courtesy to a "hello" or a "good morning / good evening". Very importantly, everywhere felt safe - even at night. Do we recommend Katts Kottage to others? Absolutely! Will we come back? Definitely!

A few practical tips: The shops really do have a very limited stock of taken-for-granted items, so do plan ahead: If you like bacon with your eggs, bring some. If you like anything other than local jam preserves on your bread, bring it with you. If you like to read, bring a book (and consider leaving it behind for others like we did). Beer, perfectly good American red/rose/white wine and local rum is in plentiful supply, so no worries there. The local beach-shack "restaurants" cook delicious grilled lobster / fish / shrimp / conch for lunch, so that's covered as well. And finally: Do enjoy a few Bahama Mama cocktails whilst you are there - it really is the true taste of paradise!

Katt's Kottage is a gem!

We are so very happy that we discovered Katt's Kottage. From the very moment we arrived, Katt made us feel right at home. She picked us up from the ferry, showed us around town, and even brought us to a store before they closed for the evening. We stayed in the lower unit, it was very clean, and all of the little necessities were there. She even provided a loaf of local bread for us to try. Katt and her husband Matt were extraordinarily hospitable, and very responsive to our needs. You can't beat the view of the beach from the porch. This is a great alternative to the resorts on the island, and we are thrilled we found it. A big thank you to Katt to her help in making our vacation memorable.

Katt's Kottage is a cozy, quiet and safe retreat from the world where you live. White, sandy beaches and crystal clear waters are just steps from your front door or a relaxing view from your private balcony. The two bedroom units have a queen bed and two XL-Twin beds and will sleep 4 comfortably. Stroll leisurely around the island and take in the views or rent a golf cart or bicycle and tour it in style. Catch a tan on the beach or lounge under an umbrella. Snorkel the waters right off the beach or swim with wild dolphins. Dance the night away or relax on the deck under the stars. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor charcoal grill. A selection of restaurants and bars are three to five minutes walk away and there are three marinas just as close - Bimini Big Game Club, Bluewater and Seacrest. The people of Bimini are friendly and helpful and eager to make you fell welcome to our island. Remember to bring your camera because the sunrises and sunsets are both breathtaking and the people are always smiling!
