Cabin, 3 Bedrooms + 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)
Dale and Jean have always enjoyed country life. Although they live near Charlotte, High Country Haven provides a wonderfully relaxing mountain retreat to share with friends and family until they plan to retire there. They welcome you to escape and enjoy their cozy mountain home.
Jean purchased this House in 2007
What makes this House unique
Often times, at dusk, you will see a family of deer leaping through the the front yard of the beautifully landscaped 3 acres. After sunset, the privacy of the woods and lack of street lights allow you to clearly gaze at the millions of twinkling stars in the dark night sky. Although you have seclusion, you are only a few miles from Ingles grocery store, Walmart and Lowes, as well as many restaurants and site seeing destinations. 30 minutes from Boone and 45 minutes from Blowing Rock.

Comfortable & cozy !
Enjoyed staying with family at this cozy cabin for the weekend. It has the perfect privacy I was looking for, at the same time it’s not a cabin alone in woods to feel insecure. It has great location, you find everything you need nearby. Though we could not see a lot of fall colors but the scenic beauty around the cabin is breathtaking. I would love to go back !
I enjoyed using the well stocked kitchen (all the pans and dishes I needed were available) and drinking my coffee on the front porch! The beds were comfortable, and the view was relaxing!
Nice quiet home
It is a pretty drive to the home which is quiet and clean with nice artwork throughout. The deck is large and plenty of room for guests to visit. Loved the fireplace and the many windows. The only reason for less than 5 stars is because the gravel road to the home is a little rough and the furnishings could use a couple of minor improvements such as better quality and quantity of towels and pillows and replacements for some of the worn out kitchen items, such as cutting boards and pans. It is well furnished though. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

Beautiful cabin with room for the whole family.
We stayed in Jean's cabin this past weekend and had a great time. From the lovely porch where we enjoyed the cool mountain mornings, to the comfortable family room with lovely gas fireplace, we were super comfortable. It was great having a bedroom for everyone even with a separate master suite! Thanks for being a great host and we hope to stay in the cabin again in the future.
