This getaway is on the banks of White River about 5 miles north of Cotter, Arkansas and about 11 miles river miles below Bull Shoals dam.
About 1 acre of property, you can relax on the bank of the river to fish and or enjoy the natural surroundings. Next to the property is a public access to launch your boat if you wish. Rental boats are close by. If you wish, fishing guides can also be recommended to help you enjoy your stay.
You'll have everything you need to be comfortable sleeping, eating, and relaxing at a low price at our getaway. If you want to wade the river, just walk out the door, across the yard, and you're there. The largest shoals on White River is Wildcat Shoals about a 5 minute walk away.
The location on the river is ideal, away from the crowds, but close enough from the dam where more of the big trout hangout. About a 15 minute drive to Mountain Home AR, 15 minute drive to Buffalo River, 30 minute drive to Norfork River, and 20 minutes to Bull Shoals Lake.
It takes just over an hour to drive to Branson, Mo. As you can see, there is a lot of recreation and/or relaxation here or very close by.
We purchased the property in 2000, and had this house built there in 2001. It's been a weekend getaway, so no one has ever lived in it. In 2010, we started renting it nightly, so it's like a new home inside.

My wife and I decided on building a house on White River due to the great fishing and beauty of the area. We love how close we are to Norfork River, Buffalo River, and both lakes. The people in the area are friendly and laid back than anywhere we've been.
Of course the best trout fishing in the nation, the sight seeing of the Ozark Mountains, the small towns in the area, the proximity of Branson, make this a great area to visit.
I have fished the White River numerous times and have stayed in several river front homes but for my money, this one is the best. The description is not really accurate about bedrooms. It has two bedrooms, a upstairs foyer with a bed and the basement has several bunkbeds, twin beds, and a full bathroom and kitchen area. The home is clean, well maintained and you can catch fish 50 yards from the back door. I am staying there two more times in the next three months. Easy to get to and close to shopping and places to eat. IT IS GREAT !!!
