Perfect Montana Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful setting, fantastic property. Our family of 9 visited for a week in August and we all had a great time. The scenery is breathtaking and the large outside deck is the perfect place to enjoy it. The hiking is the best - we encountered moose, big horn sheep, elk and other wildlife. This Big Sky area home is spacious, luxurious and secluded. But it is also convenient to everything that Montana has to offer. Also, the owners are great to work with. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Yes, spectacular

  • 5 of 5

Not sure if I can add more to the other positive reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in late August. Being able to stay on property that has great views of Lone Mountain and Beehive basin and abuts National Forest land is very special.

The wonderful house does have some quirks...

The log structure/metal roof makes infrequent popping sounds at times. It can be loud and a little jarring. (Perhaps it is a summertime thing)

The internet access can be painfully slow at times... internet is probably not why you go to Big Sky but be advised.

The household water pump is pretty loud. (Runs everytime water is drawn). It also runs at 3 AM for several minutes.

The toilets are "old school" and requires you to hold the handle for 5 seconds when flushing. (I know, nitpicky, but does get old)

But even with its quirks, we are already thinking of booking again.

Perfect home for a family reunion

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 12 had a perfectly delightful 4 days in this beautiful home in July. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could want or need to cook. The area has something to do for every age and we took advantage of many of them. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a busy day of activities with the gorgeous views all around. On our last evening a herd of elk wandered across the meadow below the house. Such a treat. We would definitely return and would highly recommend it.

Temporary Satisfaction!

  • 5 of 5

This place blew our expectations away! The cabin is beautiful and the deck was perfect. No need to plan any road trips. If we were to do it again, which we hope to, we would park our car and stay put. There is world class hiking, mtn biking, hot tubbing and relaxing right from the cabin. Scratch your Yellowstone day trip as well, unless you want to spend the day with 2 million tourist with selfie sticks. We saw Elk, deer, bear, porcupine right on the property. Mountain goats and big horn sheep up in the basin. This place is a little slice of heaven.

Great stay in Montana!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a fantastic 5 nights at Beehive Basin. The house is spacious and clean, with plenty of breakfast seating for our large party. There were 12 of us (ages 4 to 84) staying at the house. The kids all stayed on the lower level & the adults slept on the top floor so we didn't hear the little ones when they got up early! The kids loved the pool table, the jacuzzi & making smores in the fireplace. The views from the house are spectacular. On our last night we came home around 9p.m. and saw about 40 deer on the grass right next to the house. There is a hiking trail adjacent to the house and we hiked up to a small lake. The hike is beautiful and we saw a moose on the acreage. The house is about 20 mins. away from river rafting, and 10 mins. away from Big Sky resort where we went ziplining, played disc golf & did the ropes course. We took a day trip to Yosemite & saw some bison, Old Faithful and some other geysers. The owners of the property are friendly, accessible, and easy to work with. They gave us a list of activities and restaurants in the area which was terrific and made planning our vacation that much easier. Montana is a pristine, beautiful state and we would highly recommend staying at Beehive Basin!
