Family ski trip

great location! ski locker available when you ask at the desk ( combination lock provided). Shuttle service from the lodge great so we never used the local bus service. 1 bed unit was great for our family of 3, could easily handle larger family. 1bedroom with king bed and bath, 2 nd bath off living area. Living area had queen bed with a set of bunkbeds in alcove off living area.Only draw back,.. I received an e-mail while we were on the way to the airport that said washer/dryer broken and new one on order. We had packed with" in unit" in mind. Needless to say never heard again from manager on that issue. However, coin operated down the hall to share with the rest of the people on the floor. Pool / hot tube Great!

Great skiing but not the best condo it was really OLD and is disrepair!

  • 1 of 5

We stayed in Mountain View Lodge Unit #271 the week of January 4-10, 2016. We used Vacation Quest Inc with Anthony Gallardo .Pros: 30 minutes from airport, 5 blocks from town, key pickup from front desk, ok price, great location, true ski in/out from locker room, lockers included in price, several ski rental locations in complex (Jackson's was wonderful and they have boot valet!), skating rink in complex. Condo had 2 full baths and full kitchen but not a true legal 1 bedroom (windows have to be on outside wall for fire safety). Sleeping space for 8 persons if you use both sofas but there will be no privacy and really nowhere to put your stuff and skiing requires lots of stuff. 2nd bath had a washer/dryer unit. Cons: very loud neighbors upstairs. Unit must have all tile floors and people must like to clog in their ski boots because that is what it sounded like the first 3 days we were there. Hallways are loud though they are carpeted. Pool noise is quite loud (unit is directly over indoor pool) so you know windows aren't sound proof and several of them are cracked. My husband had his computer leaked on from one of them while he was sitting at the table. Appliances in unit are old think late 70's early 80's old. Before we arrived I asked agent to check unit to see if it had humidifiers, crockpot and good wifi in unit, because I would bring those items if needed. I know he didn't check because he emailed me back and told me there was not a crockpot, when low and behold when I looked in the cabinets it was right there!

When we walked in on Monday afternoon there was a note saying the dryer was broken-sorry! But nothing about what was being done to fix it. So I emailed Anthony to let him know he had plenty of time between checkout on Saturday before we arrived and Monday afternoon to get someone to look at it, which he didn't. He actually came on Wednesday afternoon with another man to look at dryer and said it couldn't be fixed and they would replace the next day. Well on Thursday late afternoon after removing the combo unit into the hall and trying to get the other through the door they decided it was too big (because they never measured, they must have assumed dimensions wouldn't change over 30 years??) and we were left with nothing to do laundry with. At least before we had a washer. We were offered nothing for the trouble even though he said we would be compensated. We were not given a laundry basket even to move clothes to the laundry room.

Family Ski Week

Exceptional value & prime location. Was not left wanting. Heard there was a great in-town shuttle service but never needed it. Great facility steps from our doorstep. We took advantage of the indoor/outdoor pool & Jacuzzi nightly & had our condo stocked with groceries prior to our arrival. Seemingly dozens of rental shops and several restaurant/bars on site. Hope to return next year!

it was the perfect condo for my Sundance experience

  • 5 of 5

just returned from my 7th time at the sundance film festival and i've got to say that this condo certainly impressed. now don't get me wrong, it wasn't the four seasons or anything crazy fancy, but it was the perfect place for my friends and i to stay for the fest. we had plenty of room, wonderful amenities (towels, dishes, hot tub and fitness center access, cable tv, etc.) and the condo is super close to main st. which made it very convenient getting back and forth to all of the action. (heck, we even walked it a few times and it didn't take any time at all.) plus, we were at the base of the lift which made it so easy to wake up and be on the slopes in no time! i highly recommend the condo and the rental agency without any reservations.

Owner's Response: Fisher, we are so happy that you enjoyed your stay with us! This is a great unit for both the festival and skiing. The amenities at the building also make this a great place for visiting in the summer months. We hope to see you again next year! -Brady

A bad vacation experience

  • 1 of 5

The Good News: The Condo/Unit and furnishings were of good quality & Comfortable....

The Lodge Front Desk personnel were very friendly and helpful..

The Broker/Salseman was also very friendly and accomodative...

The Bad News: The Condo was in Dis-repair....The toilet didn't flush, several overhead flood lights were burned out, Two standing fans were inoperable, I jury rigged one to work, One table lamp was difficult to turn-on...A foul smell when entering unit & caused by standing water under leaking kitchen sink drain & leaking faucet... Most of the problems were resolved by salesman except for the leaks.

Now the really Bad News: The unit was located just above the pool...The children playing (mostly screaming) made it impossible to relax and the noise continued all day till 10PM...The day of our arrival, The luxury "Penthouse" unit sleeping 12 directly above us frayed our nerves till 3AM, as the occupants stomped, ran, moved furniture, ran water, presumably taking showers,,,causing us to stay awake most of the night..The Lodge personnel & salseman offered to exchange our unit with one that was vacant...After viewing a couple of them, decided to stick it out....We vacated, a day early. The place was depressing and we were happy to leave and never to return again!!!!
