Small bedroom with a standard double bed and connecting full bath. Bedroom contains a closet with sliding glass doors and storage chest. In the separate living area: writing desk, single/twin bed, comfortable couch and club chair. Flat screen TV and new eat-in kitchen.
We're extremely close to public transportation (99 on transportation score and 98 on walking score), but sadly, street parking is tedious. Numerous parking restrictions are enforced on a weekday basis in the neighborhood. I advise you to leave the car at home or use the city muni, or any of the convenient car services; FlyWheel, City Share, Zip Car, UBER or Lyft.

Quiet solitude but walking distance to two of the hottest areas of the city: the Mission and Castro districts
My boyfriend and I stayed at this property for four nights during the month of September while on vacation. To start, booking the property was extremely organized and efficient with Rhonda responding immediately and supplying a multitude of useful information regarding her property. This included door codes, wifi, location, and other information regarding the surrounding area. Upon arriving, Rhonda was more than accomodating to our early arrival as she allowed us to store our bags and checkin a couple hours before the designated time. Her and her partner were extremely welcoming, friendly, and left us with a fantastic bottle of wine. We were initially skeptical in booking a property where the owners were close in proximity but Rhonda and her partner were extremely friendly and not overbearing in any capacity. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with and even gave us great suggestions/directions. The ground floor unit you will be staying in opens to a beautiful backyard and garden with your own separate entrance. On a sunny day the backyard is gorgeous - the pictures are a great representation of the property. Upon arrival, our initial impression was that the property was extremely clean and was surprisingly very comfortable despite the temperature being above 25 degrees Celsius and no AC. The appliances are new, the kitchen is stocked with anything you would need to prepare a meal, and the bed is extremely comfortable. There is a good amount of square-footage in the unit and does not feel cramped. The condo is located one block away from Market Street within the Castro area. This area is a safe and fun district for a young couple to enjoy nightlife and has extremely good access to the rest of the bay area through Transit. We encourage anyone staying at this property to simply hop on a tram or bus system to take you anywhere you need to go - there is direct routes to the Wharf, Chinatown, and other popular attractions. Despite the above positives there are a few small issues that any renter should be aware of. The decor is mildly out date so if you're sensitive to these things then maybe you would rethink. Despite this, it was never an issue for us. At times you can hear the individual on the second floor, but once again it was not too intrusive. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at this property for its absolutely amazing location, stocked kitchen, peaceful ambiance, and great owners. We will stay here again if we make it back!
I had a delightful stay at this ground floor property. Great location, for me...near the F trolley line that took me to other muni connections and BART stations, also to shopping and various sites along Market Street, and to the Ferry Building and several Farmers Markets. The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood, with no hills, close to Safeway and Whole Foods for food shopping.. The apartment was immaculate, very conformable bed, and for someone who cooks IN, has a wonderfully fully equipped kitchen. The shared garden area is lovely and serene. I recommend staying here for enjoyable experience in a lovely SF neighborhood. I hope to stay here, again.

We spent 10 days in this charming garden apartment. Rhonda, Bill and Trooper were wonderful hosts! You have everything you need in a well-appointed home away from home with the added bonus of a beautiful and peaceful garden. You are in the middle of the busy city but the apartment is very quiet and relaxing. The location is very good in a lovely neighborhood straddling the colorful Mission and Castro districts. You have easy public transportation access to Union Square, SOMA, and the Embarcadero/Ferry Building/Fisherman's Wharf. You are in very convenient walking distance of great neighborhood restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and laundry services. Look up info on walking tours of the colorful murals in the Mission. We look forward to our next stay!
The property was in a good location. It was very clean and felt like a home away from home. It was great to meet the Rodgers; very nice couple. I would love to stay here again and would recommend it to family or friends visiting the area.
We come to SFO yearly and always enjoy the city, and this time we decided to try out VRBO as it was a special occasion. A friend always uses VRBO and recommended it to me, and am really glad we did! Once we found Rhonda's ad it was only a matter of hours before she accepted our application to stay. About her place: not only is it only 1 block from Market Street, a hub for transport for BART, cab, bus and trolley to virtually everywhere you need or want to go, it is 1.5 blocks from Peet's Coffee (mmmm) and 3 short blocks from the centre of the thriving Castro area! The apartment itself is the lower floor of the typical SanFran house, which was perfect as we like it cool at night. We noticed the heaters available but did not have the need to use them as it was early June. The entrance was our own personal doorway at the front with a secure key as well as electronic code, which led into their beautiful picturesque garden out back. Wow. Treed over and brick tiled, it sported a bubbler fountain, a quiet area in back for reading or beveraging, as well as a wide variety of breathtaking plants, some domestic, fruit & vegetable, and tropical. They made a lot of effort to have a very enjoyable space everyone can appreciate. The apartment was exceedingly clean and comfortable, and well-stocked with amenities in the kitchen and bath. The sheets and towels were all very fresh, we had every TV channel seemingly possible, and the Wi-Fi was perfect for our 3 devices - we never had a problem. Although we had a fully stocked kitchen, we never did use it (other than the coffee machine) to make anything; there's plenty of places to go nearby for food and fun. We only saw Rhonda and Bill once, and they went out of their way to ensure our time there was special! TY again for a wonderful stay - we hope to use your place again in the future! (Say hi to your fantastic dog for us too - I wish he came down to visit more often!) We highly recommend Rhonda Rodgers' place for staying: it's a 5-star hotel in our books. :)
