About David and Wanda Wallace

WE FELL IN LOVE with St Lucia 15 years ago. Our dream was to create a beautiful accommodation in a lush tropical setting overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Nature's Paradise is our dream come true.

WANDA: I was a professional dancer for many years and I traveled the world in that capacity. As the first woman White Belt in the US. I practiced Eagle Claw Kung Fu and taught Tai Chi. Exploring the Island and sampling it's rich culinary culture are two of my passions.

DAVID: As a film and television director I was able to explore parts of the world I never expected see. When Wanda & I came to St Lucia we knew we had found our Home. We have great beaches, tropical gardens, hot springs, warm waterfalls, and even a volcano. We have climbed both Pitons and earned our scuba license in St. Lucia. We wish to show you the St Lucia that we fell in love with.

David and Wanda Wallace purchased this villa in 2003

Why David and Wanda Wallace chose Castries Quarter

WE CHOSE ST LUCIA because it is the most beautiful island in the southern Caribbean. St Lucia has a large Rain-Forest, lots of beaches and wonderful warm people. It a rare country where you can relax and feel safe & secure everywhere. Stress is low and the food is great. So many restaurants! So little time!

What makes this villa unique

WE ARRANGE Rain-Forest tours & Volcano hot baths, recommend the best beaches for swimming & snorkeling; and we point you to trails where you can hike by yourself in the Rain-Forest.

YOU CAN ASK US about Hiking the Pitons and Zip-Lining the Rainforest. We are happy to recommend the best restaurants and markets. Ask us anything about St Lucia.

Guestbook comments from the owner

My wife and I just celebrated our 1 year anniversary at Nature's Paradise- it was perfect. If you are looking for secluded yet spectacular accommodations at reasonable pricing, this is it. Nature's Paradise is a hill top bed and breakfast above the prettiest bay in St. Lucia. It is secluded, yet close to 5 of the most popular restaurants on the island.

"Nature Dave" and his lovely wife Wanda are most gracious hosts. We had one of their 2 cottages to ourselves for one week (private decks overlooking the coast-the photos dont lie) and were treated to a wonderful and relaxing breakfast each morning. Morning swims surrounded by their beautiful, lush tropical gardens, it was the perfect place to "escape". Dave is a wealth of island information and even provides personal tours of the island- we did one and it was great. You will need to rent a jeep to get around, after all, you are on a volcano bed and it is rough terrain. Nature's Paradise provided us with the ideal setting to experience the beauty of the Caribbean and the treasures that St. Lucia has to offer. We would stay at Nature's Paradise again in a heartbeat.

Lost in Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This was a truly beatiful vacation in everyway. It was quality time with my boyfriend (of 5 years) and we could not have picked a more perfect place. What a beautiful view and the gardens are so lush. The cottage was first class, good shower, full kitchen, 4 poster bed. The pool was way big, with more stunning views of the ocean. Wanda's breakfasts were good and different and the coffee was strong. I think were going to get married right here.

Amazing adventure!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time visiting St. Lucia and what an amazing place! David and Wanda were lovely hosts and we felt completely comfortable staying at their accommodations. David was so helpful finding us things to do and hooking us up with the great deals on excursions.

I definitely recommend renting a vehicle and exploring the island! It’s such a beautiful place, you will not want to miss seeing one inch of it!

Tropical Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Our best vacation ever. We arrived at the

airport and found our taxi waiting for us. As we drove up the East Coast of St Lucia, the scenery is ever-changing and often stunning. The owners (David & Wanda were there to greet us on arrival. That evening David took us down to a wonderful restaurant on

Marigot Bay for some island cuisine.

The next morning we had our first tropical

breakfast with the other guests. Lots of fruit, some that I had not seen before, French bread & good coffee. Meeting with the other guests was very helpful. We rented a jeep and were on our way to explore the island.

I had read some reviews but Nature’s Paradise

was beyond what I expected. A great pool with stunning views and Wanda’s garden is a gem.  The cottage had a full kitchen to make lunches and dinners. We did not use it too much due to the restaurants in Marigot Bay. David's tour of Soufriere is a must, and

his advice was invaluable. This was my first time in St Lucia and we also felt safe and the people were very friendly. It was the best vacation we ever had. Will we return? You bet.

Yes it is "Paradise"

  • 5 of 5

Starting from arrangements made for our pick-up at the airport to returning us to the airport, David and Wanda were just the BEST!! The special way in which they treat their guests is second to none, Wanda and David serve breakfast at 8:00 AM for all the guests. The fresh island fruits and bread with coffee. Yummy. Great time to exchange info on your previous day's activity with everyone. David assisted in arranging car rental (good idea) along with a very informative binder with suggestions on activities. Grounds, pool , apartment, ambienace, view, rainbows Great!!

Paradise as Friends not Guests

  • 5 of 5

Rent this place! My wife and I haven't really been world travelers but wanted an exotic vacation to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. After researching and deciding on St.Lucia we found Nature's Paradise and booked it wondering if we were doing the right thing. Boy, did we do the right thing. The place sits on top of a beautiful ridge and the views, especially from the pool deck, are stunning. Marigot Bay is awesome-laid back & high quality at the same time.

The Villa we stayed in was clean and very functional with all the things we needed to enjoy our stay. Cookware & dishes etc and we used them lightly because who wants to cook when fantastic restaurants are at your fingertips?

Breakfast was provided each morning M-F and always great-fresh tropical fruits, warm bread, muffins, juice and great local coffee. Chatting with the hosts and other guests was great.

The pool was open for guests 24 hours and every time I used it I was refreshed by the perfect water temp and the stunning views. We always enjoyed the pool having it all to ourselves except on Friday night when two other couples hung out and we visited and shared tips on island adventures. The pool area also became my favorite place to watch the fabulous sunset each night. Talk about romantic...the only ones out there!

The villa was the perfect size and had great views as well (the only drawback being that our views were a little bit affected by some electrical wires running across the middle of the view but that was minor)-view of ships coming and going and the waves far outweighed that small issue. Our view was way better than any of the resorts around!

We loved the island; the weather, the views, the location and the guests we met but by far the best part of staying at Nature's Paradise is David and Wanda, the owners and hosts. They were thorough, prompt, helpful without being pushy and treated us like friends not guests. David made great suggestions & tips for getting the most out of our time. Have him reserve a table at Rainforest for your last night like he did for us. The meal and location/views amazing.

Drawbacks...not many but here goes:

1) It's not on the beach so if u want immediate beach access probably not for you.

2) Jeep rental-driveway is rough and it would be too far to walk down for busses everyday.

3) Food is pricey but good

My new paradise....

  • 5 of 5

I had no idea what to expect when I booked my stay at Nature's Paradise.

I had the vacation of a lifetime.

Single traveler, female, late 20s. St Lucia had everything I was looking for and Nature's Paradise was the perfect home base in which to relax after enjoying it. The grounds are stunning- the gardens make you feel as if you're in some far away rainforest (which is basically the case lol). Despite there being multiple guests on site, as well as the owners, there is never a lack of privacy. The pool is gorgeous and the view of the sunset even more so. The house and surrounding cottages are perched above Marigot Bay on a high cliff- and the location couldn't have been better. The view from my cottage balcony was second to none- and the house always stayed cool. Breakfasts were always fun, getting to know your fellow guests and listening to David and Wanda's wonderful stories and picking their brains about this lovely island they call home.

I stayed in the avocado cottage, and it was perfect. Full bath (beautiful tile), large bed with mosquito netting, full kitchen- everything I needed. Everything was clean and in good working order.

It's a very short walk or drive down to the bay directly below Nature's paradise- and the snorkeling is superb. The beach is small and private- you'll almost always have it to yourself. Marigot Bay itself is also a short drive (a bit more of a walk, but it's St. Lucia- so get out and enjoy it). The restaurants (Chateau Mygo in particular) are fantastic.

Despite how lovely the house and grounds are, the most wonderful part of Nature's Paradise was Dave and Wanda. I would be hard pressed to find a more interesting and enjoyable couple. Between the two of them, their knowledge of the island is second to none. I spent a great deal of time with Dave seeing the island, and enjoyed every minute of it. I genuinely consider them friends and hope to come back to their home one day.

To my other fellow single traveler- thank you for providing me with wonderful company. I sincerely enjoyed it. And to Graham and Vicki- I had a blast with you two, the Canadian soulmates I never knew I was missing.

Dave and Wanda- thank you so much for opening your home to me. This trip was special for me- and you made it unforgettable. God bless the both of you.
