The location is perfect. With spectacular mountain views, and only being 10 minutes from town, you feel like you're away from it all in a serene mountain setting, yet just minutes from everything the city has to offer. And you can walk out the door and be in nature, and have a myriad of hiking trails at your fingertips.
What a beautiful Colorado Christmas. A lovely lodge in the midst of a beautiful creation made our stay so enjoyable. A great place for a family reunion!
This cabin worked beautifully! for our AF Academy graduation. We had off/on 18 people thru the week. We had space to be together comfortably, and yet space on the grounds to get away from each other for quieter moments.
Everyone loved the pine-mountain setting. As each family entered the lodge, people would exclaim "WOW!" and "how did you find this place?"
Wonderfully stocked kitchen which permitted us to serve a wide range of meals. We had as many as 20 people sit down to eat with us.
Very rustic--the good kind of rustic. Comfortable and have the feel of being away from the hustle/bustle of the congested Colo Springs.
Each bedroom was unique with one special feature (such as a balcony or extra bed).
Great location at the base of Pikes Peak, or within an hour, we could get to historical towns and the Academy. Great, unique places to eat within 10-15 minutes in Manitou Springs.
Owners live nearby and could answer our questions about caring for the lodge, yet far enough away, we didn't feel like we were being spied on.
The lodge was stocked well with towels, blankets, sheets, travel info, reading books, games, and the like. Plenty of parking, too.
For me, booking the Rocky Mountain Lodge for USAFA graduation was the bonus of the week.
The only drawback was our cell phones didn't work well in that location.
My wife and I stayed at this B&B 4/7/16-4/10/16 and loved the experience! It was our first time staying at a B&B which gave us pause, but Debbie and Brian quickly made us feel at home.
The location of this B&B is perfect. Right across highway 24 from the Pike's Peak Toll Road, and a 5 minute drive to Manitou Springs where a majority of the activities are located. Much better than staying IN Colorado Springs. When people talk about visiting Colorado Springs, it seems they mean 'Manitou Springs'.
The B&B itself was very nice, clean, and cozy. The dining and living areas are very spacious, and the rooms are warm and comfortable. We stayed in the Ute Indian themed room, and it was great. The private bathroom was a welcome amenity in a B&B.
There is a brand new hot tub on the property which was a great way to relax after full days of hiking and zip-lining. In the evenings, you pretty much have the place to yourself, which also gives the feel of having the entire property rented, and not just one room.
Regarding the food - spectacular. Every day Debbie made us a 3 course meal for breakfast, which included desserts! Roasted Grapefruit, personal breakfast casseroles, french toast, FRIED CHEESECAKE. All fresh and homemade... nothing out of a container. She also makes some type of magic cookies that are right by the coffee maker. Addictive to say the least - top 3 cookie I have ever had.
Overall, this place was an A+. Great location, food, service, privacy, and price. If we ever make it back to the area - this is where we will stay for sure!

It had a beautiful view of the mountain from almost every window. We enjoyed the house,( pretty clean) grandchildren felt like they were in a tree house because of the lot where they slept. We were close to everything but like being in the woods where we saw lots of wildlife ,deer and elk. I would stay there again and would recommend it to other families.
The Rocky Mountain Lodge is a great bed and breakfast. The lodge is beautiful. The room we had was comfortable and clean with a view of the mountains. The food was amazing. Debbie is not only an excellent hostess but also a marvelous chef. Her breakfasts were beautifully presented and so very delicious! The lodge is conveniently located near everything we wanted to see and do. Brian and Debbie were very accommodating and helpful. They made us feel at home. We will be recommending this lodge to our friends.
The cabin was perfect for us. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We stayed on the patio in the evenings cooking on the grill and enjoying the mountain view. Deer walked through our yard almost every night and sitting in the hot tub in the crisp mountain air at night was so relaxing after long days of sight seeing. We will be back next year!
We rented the lodge for our family that was coming from all over the US for our daughter's wedding that was held in Colorado Springs. We wanted the immediate family to be together rather than in separate hotel rooms as it was a reunion of sorts as well. Debbie and Brian are very conscientious lodge owners and so welcoming. They had to be evacuated due to the canyon fires that raged just over the ridge behind their home and the lodge. Debbie kept us informed of the progress and we were the first renters back into the lodge after in reopened. It was all we had hoped for. The kitchen has an industrial range, 2 refrigerators, coffee grinder, large 2 carafe coffee maker, and the list goes on and on. Suffice it to say the kitchen was well equipped for our family group ranging in age from 7 months to 70 years. It has a warm Colorado lodge feeling complete with hot tub, corn hole game, gas grill and patio furniture for enjoying meals outside. It is conveniently located to Pikes Peak, Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City, the Air Force Academy, and the Broadmoore.
We are located in the historic Ute Pass of the Rocky Mountains at the entrance to Pikes Peak, just 6 miles west of Colorado Springs, and 5 miles west of Manitou Springs with beautiful mountain views. We area 'away from it all', yet 'close enough' to all the area attractions, dining, shopping, and activities.
