Rocky Mountain Lodge Cascade CO
This cabin worked beautifully! for our AF Academy graduation. We had off/on 18 people thru the week. We had space to be together comfortably, and yet space on the grounds to get away from each other for quieter moments.
Everyone loved the pine-mountain setting. As each family entered the lodge, people would exclaim "WOW!" and "how did you find this place?"
Wonderfully stocked kitchen which permitted us to serve a wide range of meals. We had as many as 20 people sit down to eat with us.
Very rustic--the good kind of rustic. Comfortable and have the feel of being away from the hustle/bustle of the congested Colo Springs.
Each bedroom was unique with one special feature (such as a balcony or extra bed).
Great location at the base of Pikes Peak, or within an hour, we could get to historical towns and the Academy. Great, unique places to eat within 10-15 minutes in Manitou Springs.
Owners live nearby and could answer our questions about caring for the lodge, yet far enough away, we didn't feel like we were being spied on.
The lodge was stocked well with towels, blankets, sheets, travel info, reading books, games, and the like. Plenty of parking, too.
For me, booking the Rocky Mountain Lodge for USAFA graduation was the bonus of the week.
The only drawback was our cell phones didn't work well in that location.
I'll start out by saying that the pictures do not do this B&B justice. This was a beautiful property with a great cabin/lodge feel. Debbie and her husband were very welcoming and we immediately felt at home here. Debbie has amazing culinary skills and for someone that doesn't eat breakfast very often, I never left a crumb from any of the 3 course breakfasts. And then there's Rudy.....the adorable pup that welcomed us each morning. We bonded after a few belly rubs. The proximity to the area attractions was also perfect (Pike’s Peak, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, etc). My wife and I agree that this was the best B&B we have stayed in to date and would definitely stay again if we're ever in that part of the country again.
Beautiful , relaxing not to be missed B&B
Rooms are comfortable & clean . The breakfasts are divine. The host & hostess are perfect(friendly and helpful). Family stayed for a celebration of our parents anniversary. All eight of us felt spoiled. We will return!
Great Location, Price, and Experience!!!
My wife and I stayed at this B&B 4/7/16-4/10/16 and loved the experience! It was our first time staying at a B&B which gave us pause, but Debbie and Brian quickly made us feel at home.
The location of this B&B is perfect. Right across highway 24 from the Pike's Peak Toll Road, and a 5 minute drive to Manitou Springs where a majority of the activities are located. Much better than staying IN Colorado Springs. When people talk about visiting Colorado Springs, it seems they mean 'Manitou Springs'.
The B&B itself was very nice, clean, and cozy. The dining and living areas are very spacious, and the rooms are warm and comfortable. We stayed in the Ute Indian themed room, and it was great. The private bathroom was a welcome amenity in a B&B.
There is a brand new hot tub on the property which was a great way to relax after full days of hiking and zip-lining. In the evenings, you pretty much have the place to yourself, which also gives the feel of having the entire property rented, and not just one room.
Regarding the food - spectacular. Every day Debbie made us a 3 course meal for breakfast, which included desserts! Roasted Grapefruit, personal breakfast casseroles, french toast, FRIED CHEESECAKE. All fresh and homemade... nothing out of a container. She also makes some type of magic cookies that are right by the coffee maker. Addictive to say the least - top 3 cookie I have ever had.
Overall, this place was an A+. Great location, food, service, privacy, and price. If we ever make it back to the area - this is where we will stay for sure!

It had a beautiful view of the mountain from almost every window. We enjoyed the house,( pretty clean) grandchildren felt like they were in a tree house because of the lot where they slept. We were close to everything but like being in the woods where we saw lots of wildlife ,deer and elk. I would stay there again and would recommend it to other families.
A wonderful vacation get away in the mountains
The Rocky Mountain Lodge is a great bed and breakfast. The lodge is beautiful. The room we had was comfortable and clean with a view of the mountains. The food was amazing. Debbie is not only an excellent hostess but also a marvelous chef. Her breakfasts were beautifully presented and so very delicious! The lodge is conveniently located near everything we wanted to see and do. Brian and Debbie were very accommodating and helpful. They made us feel at home. We will be recommending this lodge to our friends.
We are located in the historic Ute Pass of the Rocky Mountains at the entrance to Pikes Peak, just 6 miles west of Colorado Springs, and 5 miles west of Manitou Springs with beautiful mountain views. We area 'away from it all', yet 'close enough' to all the area attractions, dining, shopping, and activities. Railroads: Take the Manitou Springs Cog Railway up to the top of Pikes Peak, the 14,110 foot mountain where the song America the Beautiful was penned; or take a ride on the Royal Gorge Railroad and enjoy riding along the Arkansas river and through the stunning Royal Gorge itself; or enjoy one of the many narrow railroads such as the Victor railroad, through historic Colorado mining towns. Whitewater Rafting: Enjoy family friendly leisurely rafting trips, or more thrilling, adventurous rafting trips whitewater rafting along the Arkansas river. Golf: There are many golf courses in our area. They range from the novice with smaller courses, to the world class for the professional. Ski: We are about 2 hours from ski resorts. The closest would be Breckenridge or Monarch. Local Attractions in the area include: Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Seven Falls, Helen Hunt Falls, the US Air Force Academy, Focus on the Family, US Olympic Training Center, the North Pole and Santa's Workshop, Manitou-Pikes Peak Cog Railway, Colorado College, Florissant Fossil Beds, Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, and many more. Other activities in the area include horseback riding, zip line tours, jeep tours, hot air balloon flights, hiking, biking, rock climbing, world class fly fishing, and many others.
