Beach Haven features 2 Bedrooms (both with king-size beds) and 2 full baths, with a Great Room (open kitchen, dining, living room w/sleeper sofa) in between the two bedrooms. Cedar woodwork and tall cathedral ceilings with fans run the length of the house. The ocean side of the Great room is surrounded by glass doors on three sides, two of which open to screened porches. The screened porches open to the bedrooms and out to a 60'x20' deck that sits a mere 60'-100' feet from the ocean (varies with tides).
Beach Haven is extremely well equipped with amenities, cooking & comfort items (as many renters have put it - 'anything you could possibly need').
The crashing surf is constant and soothing. As we are on the windward side of the island, breezes are consistent 90% of the time (which keeps 'no-see-ums' and other pests away).
… sleeping peacefully with your head 90 feet from the sounds of the rolling surf. ... Or sunning on the deck, or lazing in the hammock just 60 to 90 feet from the ocean.
I remember thinking to myself my first night at Beach Haven:
“With this loud ocean, I’ll never be able to slee….. zzzzzzzzzz! “
Azure water, swaying coconut palms and natural, old world beauty on the outside. Elegantly appointed and very well equipped on the inside.
Our guests tell us that "pictures simply cannot do Beach Haven justice". To help with this a bit, I created four, short video tours in August, 2015. Scroll down ~ 3/4 down this page to "Links to more information:" then the four "CLICK HERE" links. These are links to the short videos on youtube.
Restorative, peaceful, magical, well appointed amidst raw nature, private, a unique vibe ... these are words our visitors commonly use to describe Beach Haven.
It has been said that “exceptionally high levels of vibrational energy can be found in places of great beauty”.
This is Beach Haven! Your oceanfront Haven to get away from it all!!

We searched the Cayman's, Virgin islands, FL keys, and out islands of the Bahamas (every isle from Aruba to Kauai) for decades in search of our dream home. None of our rentals came close to what this location has to offer and more. It is also very close to the U.S. (~180 miles), is protected by the U.S military, and bases it's dollar upon ours (no need for exchange). It has the beauty parts of Florida may have had a century ago, without the congestion & crime, but with most of today's modern infrastructure. To us it offers the best of both worlds.
Getting away from it ALL, while enjoying the beauty of beach, ocean, palms, rare birds and phenomenal views of the Milky Way. This place possesses a unique and restorative beauty. We leave so relaxed that it seems you could pour us into a glass. On an average day, you may see one person on our beach, one of the longest in the Caribbean. The residents are largely friendly, honest, religious folk in touch with what's important. It's about as close as we've come to heaven on Earth.
Beach Haven is the perfect Bahamas getaway. The home was very clean and well equipped with everything vacationers need. We rented paddle boards and a kayak from Jesse and totally enjoyed snorkeling on the reef in front of the home for 2 weeks.
We had the best time at Beach Haven. We wanted a great vacation to get away from it all! We got it here. Abaco is a wonderful place to get away. Its not a touristy island but, everything is pretty easy to find.Lots of adventures to have with out leaving the island.
The house was very well equipped to hold the six of us. Easy to cook, clean and make up drinks to sit on the large patio!
I know its taken me a long time to get this on here but, I am so grateful to have stayed at Beach Haven!
It was definitely 10 days of paradise all to ourselves.
It was everything I imagined. We have never been on a deck which was right on the beach with sand all around. We saw very few people and it was if we had our own beach. Owners were fantastic supplying us with tons of information as well as a list to do. We did all but one thing on the list!
I was lucky enough to stay at your magical house with friends twice. During this time I took many photos and did myriads of
sketches (I am a painter from Vermont). The last visit to Beach Haven was one of the most powerful, heartfelt and contented
experiences of my life. The series of paintings that resulted has lead to a number of well-received shows in the US and Europe and to a
number of fellowships and residencies in the arts. I know the beauty and the spirit of the place among my world travels is what inspired the
radiance and power of the paintings.
Although you do not know me, I wanted to thank you for sharing your remarkable home and site. Time spent there was truly inspirational and
pivotal in my life and work, a true gift. The magic of your home and the ocean, sunsets and the rainbows--- which seemed to greet us every
evening. I wasn't able to get photos of the dolphin, sea turtles and rays that were playing daily near the seashore, but they remain with me
and brought huge smiles to my friends on their birthdays- celebrated here. (The best presents, along with the shooting stars.)
Factual notes-- the accommodations are wonderful, the beach- a coconut's throw away, only the sound of the sea at night, a huge deck, gracious living space and 2 lovely private bedrooms - each with a deck and bath. Quiet and breathtakingly beautiful.
This was by far the best vacation we have ever enjoyed. Planning on going back the end of May. If you want to "get away from it all" this is the place to go. We Loved It!!!!
We just returned from a week at Beach Haven and it exceeded our expectations to say the least. They could have named it Beach "Heaven" as the house, beach and water was absolutely amazing. If you are looking for a secluded getaway from all the hustle and bustle of the world, this is your place. Our most difficult decision every day was what to eat and the house was well stocked with everything you need to live in paradise for a week. Most days we had the entire beach to ourselves and that was exactly what we were looking for. Great location south of Marsh Harbor but still easy access to the other interests of the island such as Treasure Cay, Cherokee Sound, etc. The owners were great to work with and provided a ton of local information in order to make our stay as enjoyable and hassle free as possible. This was our first trip to one of the smaller islands and we would absolutely recommend this piece of paradise and hope to return soon.
We are 20 minutes from the town Marsh Harbour, Abaco's central hub. All but the last mile of the drive to Beach Haven is highway. We are also 20 minutes from Cherokee, 10 minutes from Causarina, Crossing Rocks or Schooner Bay and only 5 miles from Sawmill Sink blue hole!
Most of our renters will visit several of these spots along with Treasure Cay beach (50 minutes) and will take a ferry to one of Abaco's many outlying cays (Hopetown on Elbow Cay with the candy-striped lighthouse being the most popular). But the biggest regret we hear is not simply spending more time just chilling on our deck or beach!
