This is a fun place for the whole family to spend quality time. It's just like camp. The beds will be made with fresh white linens when you arrive. A really Cozy Cowboy CABIN (not a house), complete with cable TV & WIFI. Heats by woodstove only, not for the faint at heart in the dark winter nights. Large open private yard, not visible from the street, perched high away from the main road. 4x4 needed to get up the driveway, yes even in the summer, (or there is plenty of parking at the end of the driveway). You can SWiM or Fish with your dog at a beautiful 30' WATERFALL that is 1 mile away, (Profile Falls: picnic tables and grills are built in next to the falls.) the dog is also welcome.

Dunkin' donuts & Cumberland farms open 24 hours less than 2 miles away.
Two very cool glamping/prospector's tents set up in the back yard for extra accommodations for the real outdoorsman. There is also a real TIPI in the back yard. Come be one with nature feel.
Property backed up to mountain. Target shoot in the backyard. If you like rock climbing, hike/climb the cliff/mountain that backs the property. Archery setup, zip line, horseshoes, volleyball net, bean bag toss, croquette set & golf clubs all in the yard.
This place is just like being at camp. It has a real 'be one with nature' feel about it. Come into the woods, 5+ acres with lots of green (extra large yard). Hit a few GOLF balls into the woods, we have a set of clubs in the shed. Bring marshmallows for s'mores, and cozy up to a roaring fire in the yard from the hammocks. Don't forget to look up: the STARs are so big and bright in these northern skies.
Skiing less than 20 minutes away (Ragged). Lots of ANTIQUE shops & THRiFT stores in the local town of Bristol 2miles away. CABLE TV with man channels (ESPN). We are about 4 miles from Newfound lake & Wellington State park. Newfound lake is the third cleanest lake in the nation it is spring fed.
Skilled Tradesmen ask about special rates as there is always something that needs to be done at the homestead! Cabin has a real cowboy & indian feel about it. Wild West decor with lots of Native American inspiration. See more pics by clicking on the link below, or rusticcabingetaway on Myspace.
Hello Home away viewers, i have rented this property with my uncle and two cousins for our annual mens weekend. the experience is awesome... working wood stoves keep it VERY COZY in those cold evenings. Plenty of space for shooting in the back yard totally peaceful and will not be disturbed by any one.... except maybe the wild life EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE i WILL USE LOCATION AGAIN!!!
This is our third time staying at The Cabin and it was once again the best time! The kids were beyond excited with addition of the trampoline this year! They spent from early morning until nightfall outside exploring and being kids and all slept like logs! Such a fun and relaxing weekend away for all!
My brother and I were researching places to stay in New Hampshire and fell in love with this cabin immediately. The pictures and views provided showed a rustic charm which would be the perfect background for the weekend we were planning. But pictures can only tell so much, and nothing I can write can describe the sheer sense of wonder when I first arrived. There is so much to discover! The cabin itself is a treasure chest, with each room providing personality and charm. Outside is equally impressive. With the large recreational area its easy to imagine what activities you can do. We had a fire going whenever we were there and while the tents were tempting, it was just too cold that weekend to enjoy them. That being said, the wood stoves inside the cabin provide more than enough heat to keep the chill away. The space is far enough from the road and neighbors that you can get a real sense of living off the land and enjoying the tranquility that goes with it. It is definitely a return destination for me!
This place is amazing. All you need and can imagine is there. The kids loved it, we are taking awesome memories with us. The waterfall is out of a tale, when the morning arrives you will experience the coolest sunrise. Words don do this place justice. Just amazing and the owner Patricia super helpful and a phone call away. Thanks Patricia. Jaime & family. Can not wait for the next one.
We stayed a week with another family (4 kids, ages 6 & 10 and a dog, plus 4 parents). There was lots of room for everyone, and the kids had a blast with the costumes, tents and trampoline. We tucked the kids in with an old-school VHS movie at night at hung out by the firepit.
We spent time at the falls & river right down the road, swimming, picnicking and fishing. We also went to Wellington State park on Lake Newfound- which was absolutely beautiful (10 miles or so away). There is a cute coffee shop, general store and some good thrifting/antiquing in nearby Bristol.
The house is rustic but charming! A great place for families to stay. The second "bathroom" is just a toliet (no sink).
We'd love to come back in the fall or winter!
This is one of my FAVORITE places to be period! I can not express all the joy this little place brought my children and extended family... The cabin evokes happiness and adventure. We can't wait to get back there. Delayed review :)
