Disappointing Service from Interhome
First, the positives. The unit is in a quiet building that has an incredible unobstructed view of beautiful mountains and the Lauterbrunnen valley. The unit is spacious and modern and has a full kitchen so you can prepare your own meals.
However, these positives were marred by some negatives. When we arrived at the unit, the bed in one of the bedrooms was quite dirty. The pillow was stained, the bedsheets didn't appear to have been changed & the mattress had various dirt on it including human hair. I went back to the Interhome office right away and someone addressed the problem promptly.
The second issue became apparent as the night wore on - there was no heat in the unit! To keep warm, I had to turn on the oven and stovetop (temperatures each night were below 10 degrees Celsius). To make a long story short, despite bringing this to Interhome's attention, there didn't end up being any heat for my three night stay. When checking out, I discussed these issues calmly with the Interhome employee. I was met with defensive responses such as "I've received no complaints from other residents of the building" (perhaps that was because the problem was isolated to the unit I was staying in) and "the people who stayed in your unit last month had no issues with heating" (perhaps that's because heating wasn't needed in the month of August).
I submitted my concerns to Interhome head office & their response has been disappointing. They say it'll take the weeks to look into the issue before they can provide a response.
