Cozy and Quiet

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this unit. The location is quiet and is convenient to the village with free bus or lovely stroll of about 15 minutes. There are fantastic Hiking/Biking trails (also in winter) next to the cabin which makes it really great if you have a dog. I don't think we could have stayed in a better spot for our dog who loved running on the trails. It can be difficult if you stay in the village because everything is paved. Also, our daughter slept in the pullout sofa and it is extremely comfortable (memory foam, not typical bar in the back type). The fireplace was great as well. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone with more than 3 people unless you have small children. It's footprint isn't big, although well laid out.

It was a joy to stay here. All of the appliances are really nice. The kitchen is very enjoyable to cook in. We especially enjoyed the proximity to Lost Lake - about a 15 minute walk to the off-leash dog beach.

Lovely setting and local.

  • 3 of 5

This property was very nice and very quiet in a beautiful wooded setting. Of course what is not beautiful about Whistler. Although I am aware that Whistler is an outdoor enthusiasts haven, for anyone with disabilities they should not stay here. The description says nothing about stairs and being a long distance from the parking spot. My sister is recovering from a stem cell transplant and the "small" stairs from the parking lot were a challenge for her. Other than that our stay was pleasant and relaxing and we enjoyed our time in Whistler. My only other suggestion would be to provide a blender. I missed having my smoothies.

Great holiday stay

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here over Christmas holidays for five nights and great little place - looks like photos. Washer and dryer were excellent to have, as was boot dryer! 30 second walk to free shuttle bus (#5; goes to base of blackcomb and whistler) and unit comes with reserved (outdoor) parking. All kitchen utilities provided and soap for dishwasher and washing machine provided. Lots of good space at entry to hang all your gear to dry but you'll need to leave skis/ boards outside or in your car, no space for that in the unit.

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed the stay Kelly! The bench at the front door is specifically designed for skis and snowboards. The pegs are less for hanging your clothes on and more for leaning your boards against. The bench has an opening at the back to allow skis and snowboards to go through and touch the ground. So in the end, LOTS of room for your skis and snowboards inside the unit. Cheers Lucien

We waited to give the owner a chance to rectify our concerns. Still not addressed.

We really enjoyed our stay in your unit at Whistler.

It was great to have the fire place and to soak in the jetted tub.

The only downfall was cleanliness. The entrance way had debris especially against the wall.

It looked like it hadn't been swept for awhile. When we went to climb into bed I noticed a couple spots on the mattress sheet.

The sheets didn't smell fresh, they smelled oily. Then on Saturday morning when I went to make coffee, the old grounds were still in the coffee maker and the coffee carafe still had coffee residue in it.

You also need to get your glass door on the left side of the fireplace fixed as it falls right out of the frame. I had to fiddle around with it for awhile to try and get it back into the frame. Also the dishwasher was not secure, it kept tipping forward.

We really enjoyed being close to the Lost Lake trails and want to thank you for taking care of the parking issue.

We will recommend your unit to our friends if the cleanliness improves.

We really appreciated the amenities. I loved the Starbucks coffee.

Owner's Response: Hi Knobby, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay in Whistler, sounds like you really appreciated the small things available in the unit. The sheets issue has been rectified. I have contracted George Courey, a hospitality and health care linens specialist company in Calgary to take care of my linens and I’m sure you’ll find the new ones are fresh and clean. Discussion with my cleaner revealed that he outsources the laundry, and that has also been rectified. Debris in the entryway is inevitable as you are in the mountains! I understand the entryway was very clean and the debris was exclusively against the wall where the skis and boots reside. The dishwasher issue is new and has not been discussed since your stay. I found myself that the dishwasher is secure. Perhaps a more gentle approach is necessary. I apologize for the coffee grounds and have asked my cleaner to ensure these are inspected during cleaning. I appreciate your thorough and unwavering inspection of this unit, and hopefully we can have it as clinical as you like in the future.

Why Lucien chose Upper Village

Away from the hustle and noise of the village, but still walking distance away.

What makes this townhome unique

Great location for summer with Lost Lake around the corner, and 3 minute access to the slopes from the free shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes. Perfect!
