Nestled in a valley of majestic mountains and steps away from the shores of Cultus Lake, BC, Stone's Throw Cottage offers a refreshing escape for you and your family. Located in a quiet
family oriented neighborhood, Stone's Throw Cottage welcomes families but is not able to accommodate groups of adults or vacationing students.
This home was built for families and has the touches that will make you feel at home. It has a floor to ceiling rock fireplace, cozy quilts, heated tile floors and quality woodwork throughout. Child friendly games, toys, books and movies are just some of the items that will welcome your little ones when you arrive. Whether you curl up with a book in front of the fireplace, roast marshmallows in the fire pit on the patio, hike the local trails, swim in the lake, take the canoe or kayak out for a spin, or do a round of golf, you will relish the pace of life offered in this unique place.
We are located on Lindell Beach at the end of Cultus Lake. The hiking and biking trails, in a forest privately owned by local residents, help you explore our spectacular surroundings. A baseball diamond and volleyball court is offered for your use in addition to the docks, complete with a diving board and swimming rafts. (Floating docks) A short stroll to the creek will reward you with seasonal glimpses of spawning salmon and scampering wildlife.
Stone's Throw Cottage has generous windows, which offer spectacular views of towering fir trees and seasonal snowcapped mountains. The lower floor common area features an open kitchen/dining and living area floor plan. Our floor to ceiling rock fireplace offers a cozy and relaxing place to enjoy the superb view of the towering mountains.
A short drive away, you will find waterslides, golf, mini golf, public beaches, shopping and local interest.

There is something about Stone's Throw Cottage tucked into those gorgeous mountains reflected in the lake that speaks of serenity.
So close to Vancouver, yet a world of its own; where one truly feels
"away from it all"!
Our kids loved the crackling fireplace, the 'secret' bedroom, walks through the woods and jumping into the icy lake in March. We have fond memories and hundreds of pictures to remember them by... Thank you to the most gracious hosts.
The Lindell beach area is the best place to be at Cultus and the Stone's throw cottage is the best place to enjoy it. We spent a wonderful week enjoying all that the area has to offer with our Grandkids and families! This is a little piece of paradise and we are so happy we got to take advantage of it.The cottage has everything you could want & is clean and roomy and the owner is very accommodating & easy to deal with.We will definitely be coming back next summer!
This area in my opinion is the best area around Cultus lake, it is not only 2 minutes walk to lake but also very quiet and cozy neighborhood and friendly people, most of them 2nd or 3rd generation owners that don't want to give up on this beautiful peace of our Province. The owner is very nice and fast responsive. the cottage is well equipped and clean with many entertainment things like bikes and Canoe. Excited to go back in summer time.
Staying at Stone's throw is a wonderful experience. The place is beautiful, bright and well organized. We spent a week end in November with 2 other couples and our babies and it was perfect! The place has 2 Play Pens, lots of kids or adult games. We had a rainy week end, but between the fire place, the well equipped kitchen, the great living room and the huge windows, we felt we have spent awesome quality time. The lake, beach (with spawing salmon!), and trails are 2 min away. Highly highly recommended.
Look up at the mountains, look down the road toward the lake -- vistas are everywhere. Lots of trails to wander, the lake was warm and teeming with trout that nudged each other and laughed at our bait. We lounged in the cottage, canoed on the lake, wandered the trails. We took the grand-kids to the water slides; we all swam in the lake. Our stay was laid back and wonderful.
Perfect for our group of eight friends. It was our second visit. Communication with the owners was excellent and the cottage was comfortable, well equipped and obviously well cared for. Lovely patio to sit outside.
Cultus Lake Water-slides, restaurants, golf and mini golf within 10 minutes.
