Overview

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Welcome to The Parker House!

The Parker House, with 2500 sq. ft. of living space, is the perfect home for family reunions, Thanksgiving and other special gatherings. The décor is contemporary Americana, with clean lines, sturdy handsome furnishings and homey quilts and colorful artwork. The Parker House has two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, deck and a large ensuite bath with a soaking tub with its own ocean view. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds. Nearby is a full bath in the hall. The living room and large open kitchen and dining areas are both upstairs as well. The living room has a gas fireplace and TV with DVD. The large windows offer excellent storm watching in the winter. The kitchen features a breakfast bar, informal breakfast table and formal dining area with fireplace. There’s a small deck just off the kitchen on the south side with an ocean view. This deck is especially good for watching the Kite Festival or July 4th fireworks. The laundry area is in the kitchen for your convenience. Downstairs is a large family room with TV/DVD, another full bath and 2 more bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed; the other has 2 twin bunk-beds. So with 1 king bed, 1 queen bed and 6 twin beds, The Parker House will sleep up to 10 people total. There’s a double garage and plenty of off-street parking available too.

Enjoy the laid back lifestyle of Long Beach and the Peninsula! The Parker House is a beautifully furnished home with double garage near beach and the Discovery Trail -- an easy walk to beach activities or downtown. Great shopping and a variety of restaurants are all close by, plus lots of things for the kids to do. There’s miniature golf, the arcade and carnival rides are just a few blocks away. The nearby Bolstad beach approach is a hub of activity year-round, but especially during the summer months, with the International Kite Festival in August and, of course fireworks on Independence Day and New Year’s Eve.

There’s even more to explore on the Long Beach Peninsula – all 26 plus miles of it. The Port of Ilwaco and Cape Disappointment are only a short drive away, as well as Waikiki Beach and the North Head lighthouse. There are some great art galleries at the Port of Ilwaco, and during the summer months there’s Saturday Market too, with a variety of local arts and crafts, foods, flowers and plants for sale. You can even see pirates at times. Ilwaco also has its own fireworks in July. The Port also features some fine restaurants with local seafood offerings created by our great chefs. Or take a charter trip for salmon, halibut, tuna or sturgeon. On the north end of the Peninsula is Ocean Park, with bookstores, restaurants and gift stores. Visit Jack’s Country Store to see this historic yet current meeting place. In Nahcotta you can buy fresh oysters and enjoy the wonderful views of Willapa Bay. On the extreme north end of the Peninsula, the place to see is Ledbetter Point State Park -- it’s a wonderful place for hiking to the beach or to the bay.

With so much to offer, Parker House is a wonderful place for making magical vacation memories!

What a great place! Most enjoyable house we have ever rented.

  • 5 of 5

This was such a well laid out house. There are views of the ocean from almost every room. Easy beach access, close to town and has so much room. There were 4 adults and 4 kids and everyone did not want to leave.

Parker House - Easter Weekend 2017

  • 4 of 5

The Parker House sits on the property at such an angle to give a great view of the ocean and beach from the entire front of the house and has a very nice deck off the dining area to sit and watch the surf and the Discovery Trail which runs along the beach and is a short walk from the house. The house is on two floors and the bedrooms are more than adequate for three couples and bunk room for kids; 2 separate recreational rooms with TV. Beach access is a short walk. Location to beach and downtown are ideal.

The House was overall a good stay for the Easter Weekend.

The House is managed by Pacific Realty of Long Beach and per their recommendation upon arrival to

inspect and check the House thoroughly for any existing damage or malfunctions and advise them immediately. Also in today's high tech world take pix with your phone. Reason - your security deposit may be in danger. We had no such problem.

We would highly recommend if time permits you review the contract for this VRBO prior to closing your arrangements. For example: the names of each guest old and young, make and model of vehicle, state and tag number will appear on the contract.

Note: NOT RECOMMENDED FOR FISHERMAN - No fish cleaning in rental and no disposal of fish/shellfish in garbage. There is no fish cleaning station in close proximity to this rental. First clam fishing opening in a year occurred over Easter Weekend 2017. Whoops.

Upon our departure we left a list of seven recommendations and concerns for the Parker House with Pac Realty to be addressed by the owner and the cleaning company. Pac Realty - thank you.

Did you know TV provided by VRBO locations can be a minimum. I never realized Wonder Woman's waist was so small and I had to watch it several times so I could see her airplane.

Great property close to town!

  • 5 of 5

The Parker house has a wonderful floor plan that is perfect for families. My husband and I took our children and grandchildren for a weekend, and the nine of us really enjoyed the space. The house was actually roomier than what the pictures online show. If you are looking for a pet-free property that is located on a quiet street close to town, and a couple minute walk to the beach, I would recommend the Parker House. The management company was also very pleasant and easy to work with. We hope to visit again in the future.

Good house with bad customer service and experience

  • 1 of 5

I have to rate this house poor for their customer service and how they reacted to the customers although the design of the house, location, and how convenient it is to the town and the beach. We are a group of 10 people with a 1 year old kid rented the house for our mini trip to Long beach. We were all excited to the see the house, how nice it is and how good it is although there were problems with the kitchen fan (it doesn't work property at all), no sponge for dish washing (we had to bring our own), expired spices (lucky we brought our own), window without screen that allowed mosquitos accessing to the house ( it even bites our child and ourselves). Despite all of these problems, We were enjoy and were talking about coming back some day. HOWEVER, the biggest problem is the property manager of this house. We received a letter telling that he/she has clear evidences that we were using drug in the house while None of us is a smoking person nor using drug ( i was pissed that about to call and ask what kind of evidence you were talking about and should a DNA test needed to clear it out and give us back our reputation). It's funny that the property manager said that we left drug in the drawer ( i left lot of MCDonald ketchup and pepper and salt for you so your next renters can use it due to your house doesn't have it).WOW, is drug that cheap to left in the drawer?????? Second, on the letter indicated that the property manager has neighbors proved that we had more than 10 people. I guess that neighbors must not know how to count, perhaps a 1 year old kid count as an adult while he is not even a toddler yet. IT's funny thing here is they count people by the amount of trash. Let me telling you this with 10 people that amount of trash was already less. Other group of 10 had less on the amount of garbage doesn't meant we have to do the same. Asian tend to eat more food , cooking more, and the FOOD CAN BE SMELL (I guess Asian food smell like DRUG to you huh?). The smell of our food can be smell like drug to you but doesn't mean we are using drug. If you expect we came here and not cooking but buying food then the amount of your garbage will be less then should put it straight on the contract. Moreover, If you need to charge us for the deposit because it takes lot of work to clean up, then yes we can understand, but if you just find ridiculous excuses to charge us for sure you will lost customers. $100 is nothing but good to see how your business treat customers.

A fair warning before you decide to cook in the house.

  • 2 of 5

We stayed there for 2 nights with a party of 10 and 1 kid (disclaimer: we didn't report the kid when we signed the contract since we thought we could find a babysitter for him). We are Asian family so we cooked all of our meals during our stay. We received a letter later stating that we smoked drug in the house and they claimed that they found marijuana device on the premises. None of us even smoke! Could it be the smell from our food confused them with marijuana? I don't know! I called the manager, she was very agitated and definitely not very good at customer service. Since she still has that device, all of us going to take a ADN test on it and seek legal advice. This is not about money but about someone accusing us being drug users. So again, just be very careful when you stay there. They can say whatever they want after the fact.

Overall, we liked the house itself, very spacious. Is it worth the headache afterward? I don't think so.
