About Property Owner

We are family owned and operated. From the left meet Kate, Jarek (sister and brother) and our mom Dana.

We have lived in Washington for over ten years and love this cosmopolitan city where people get up every morning and get to work on changing the world. The most powerful people in DC can alter the course of history and try to make the world a better place. It's a city where philosophical debate and advocacy of issues beyond one's own family or pocketbook rule the day; a city where what's going on in one's head is far more important than what one is wearing; a city where people come from all over the world to experience democracy and learn the principles of our free society.

We get visitors from all over the country and the world. Some come for one time visit with their family, others keep coming back number of times a year as we host many repeat guests related to the federal government, foreign embassies and the US State Department. We take great pride in having our unit very clean (our mom cleans it, so you know it’s spotless), conveniently located within walking distance to all shopping, restaurants and Metro.

We want you to enjoy your visit whether it is once in a lifetime trip with your family or monthly visit for work. We are looking forward to hosting you in DC and if there is something we can help with, let us know.

Why Property Owner chose Washington DC

Situated in the heart of the city is the tony neighborhood of DuPont Circle. Located in a section of Washington called 'Old City', DuPont Circle is a traffic circle, neighborhood, and historic district. A number of historic homes can be found throughout the area, including the post-presidential residence of Woodrow Wilson. DuPont Circle is a known destination for fine dining and entertainment.

This cosmopolitan neighborhood includes an eclectic collection of shops and trendy restaurants that draw visitors young and old. Originally populated by Washington's old money and nouveau riche, DuPont Circle is now home to artists, intellectuals, and young professionals. Turn-of-the-century mansions and brownstones—once home to some the city's most prominent families—now house some of the nation's finest art museums, hippest restaurants, quirky shops, and foreign embassies. It is also home to the Phillips Collection, one of the city's foremost art museums featuring paintings by Renoir, Degas, Cezanne, Picasso, and others.

What makes this condo unique

The proximity to the National Mall, White House and all of downtown is just unmatched in this apartment. On the weekend, DuPont Circle has one of the largest organic farmers' markets in the city. This neighborhood is accessible by foot or cab. WalkScore rates our unit and the surrounding neighborhood a walkability rating of 98 out of 100 - so as perfect as one can get. There are two Metro Stations nearby our condo - Dupont Circle which is pretty close as well as U Street. Both within walking distance about 10 minutes.

Guestbook comments from the owner

A huge thank you for our wonderful stay at your beautiful apartment. We were very excited about all that Washington offered & hopeful that the apartment & Dupont Circle would be the ideal base. Our expectations were exceeded. The apartment & location were perfect. We immediately felt comfortable & at home, if not trendy in your stylish setting. We not only enjoyed the major Washington sights but also the gentle strolls around Dupont Circle, great restaurants & stunning architecture. For the second week of our holiday we are enjoying another beautiful VRBO property in Oxford, Maryland. All in all the perfect vacation.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

My family spent a week at this wonderful condo and loved everything about it. The location is wonderful and close to everything. We found the unit very clean, fresh and almost feeling brand new and even nicer than we saw on the website. The neighborhood is very safe, close to the Smithsonian and all the sights. We walked to two grocery stores around the corner (Whole Foods and Safeway), both of which are very close. The owner gave us great tips on where to go eat and was so nice that we almost felt like having a new friend. Highly recommend to everyone who can get on the calendar as it seems that they book up pretty far in advance.

This apartment is in a great location near Dupont Circle. Within easy walking distance of the Metro and Trader Joe's, it makes an ideal area for tourists. It was clean, had comfortable beds and very tastefully decorated. We were able to work with the owners to arrange two parking passes. Some of the rules seemed concerning before arrival including the need to restock paper products if you ran out. In fact each bathroom is very well supplied with toilet tissue, and ample amounts of paper towels etc. The only burdensome rule was the need to have towels washed and folded ..... basically requiring that you wash towels the night before you leave. I think being able to leave clean towels in the dryer would give renters more options re morning showers and accomplish the same objective. Overall this is a great property and I would certainly want to stay there again on my return to DC.

Perfect location!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this condo. It's beautifully furnished and the kitchen is more than well equipped. We spent 5 days in DC and this condo was the perfect home base for us after long days of touring. Most of the attractions were a quick metro ride away (we used the U Street location) and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. There are quite a few restaurants in the area and they were great with our kids (7 and 9 years old). Street parking was tight but the owners were great in securing a street pass for us and we ended up right in front of the building.

Beautiful apartment in a great location

  • 5 of 5

This bi-level apartment is in a charming Victorian townhouse on a quiet residential street. Although it's not very close to the Mall, with the usual D.C. attractions, it is within very comfortable walking distance to both the Dupont Circle neighborhood and the very trendy "U" Street corridor, with it's great variety of restaurants, bars and shopping.

And speaking of shopping, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are both a short walk away; which is great if you want to take advantage of the fantastic and wonderfully-equipped gourmet kitchen this apartment sports.

The apartment is bright and spacious, and tastefully and comfortably furnished. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend this for either a long weekend or a long-term stay. We will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit to D.C.!

Great place to enjoy DC

  • 5 of 5

Was overall very pleased with our stay. Apartment was very neat and exceeded our expectations. We had plenty of room for our family of five. It was located a few blocks from metro, and just steps from some bus routes. We opted not to rent a car, and had no problem getting around the city via metro, bus, and uber. We were located very close to a number of restaurants and grocery stores, and took advantage of having a kitchen! The only negative we saw was the number of stairs - it was not a problem for us, but could see how someone unable to go up and down stairs frequently would have a problem with this rental. Bottom line would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend to others.

Very good experience

  • 4 of 5

This property is well stocked and very pleasant. The living space and bedrooms are roomy. It's a lovely area, and very close to restaurants, coffee shops and pubs.

The water pressure is low, so don't run the dishwasher and try to take a shower.

It is an overstatement to say it's a few blocks from the White House and Mall, it's 60 minutes depending on how fast you walk, about 2.4 miles to the heart of the 'mall'. We didn't mind the walk, except the days the wind was slowly 35 degree air towards us.

We would definitely stay here again.
