Doolin is a destination for many who want to savour the atmosphere of music and 'craic' and also use as a base for exploring the Burren and Aran Islands. Accommodation there can be hard to find. This is not a traditional Irish cottage - it's a new mini-development of bog-standard new Irish 3 bedroom homes and as such might not fit everyone's dream. However it is new, clean, comfortable and everything works as it should. It houses at least 5 or 6 people - so ideal for a family. Kitchen is well appointed, TV, washing and drying machines, towels, WiFi, etc all great. Small enclosed grassy back yard for the kids to play if it isn't raining. within easy walking distance of McDermotts, McGann's, Fitzpatrick's and O'Connor's - so what more could you want. Coffee shops and gift shops nearby. Private parking and no noise from the neighbours. We were just a couple so we had loads of space, lots of privacy, and a turf fire to sit in front of at night. Nothing to complain of except that the master bedroom mattress was a bit soft to our liking and you pay 5 EUR per day for electricity and 5 EUR for wifi, both of which I believe could easily be included without affecting the owner's operating budget to much.
