Why Walene Beeler chose Magazine
Ott Clare bought this property at the base of Mt Magazine in 1958. The original homesite, which originally had a log cabin, but a new house was built in 1990 on the same site. The cabin is on this property. Many locals have said we have the prettiest view of the mountain. Better than they have seen anywhere else in the county.
What makes this Cottage unique
We love the peace and quiet here and the way the attributes of the mountain seem to be constantly changing. Sunrise and sunset can be dramatic. The whippoorwills in the spring and summer are so relaxing.

5-STAR CABIN IN MAGAZINE, ARKANSAS!
My husband and I can't say enough good things about The Ranch House cabin near Magazine. If you seek solitude and quiet days and evenings, this is the place. Although the cabin is located "away from it all" adjacent to a beautiful farm and ranch property, it is only minutes from the little town of Magazine, Arkansas, and about a 30-minute or less drive from Booneville if you need a WalMart. The spotless, warm and cozy cabin has been well-cared for and maintained. It is fully stocked with all kitchen appliances - full size fridge w/freezer, coffee pot stove/oven and microwave, and essential tools and dinnerware we could ever need. There is no internet service at the cabin, but Dish TV is available, as well as numerous videos, books, games, magazines, and the Great Outdoors to keep a person entertained. Relaxation has a 360-degree view at The Ranch House: situated at the edge of forested property, the house has a wonderful long front deck/porch, complete with a glider/swing and cushions from which to admire the land and grazing cattle by day, or moon and stars by night. The back patio boasts a nice grill. A hammock and a fire ring with seating and available firewood make a stay here complete. Hiking trails and beautiful drives, are everywhere near and on Mt. Magazine. For excellent homestyle cooking - especially chicken fried steak! - try the Hwy 10 Cafe, in the center of Magazine township. Opens at 6am daily, closing time varies but usually open all day. The gracious owner, Walene, is just a phone call away to answer any questions. She has provided a wonderful place of peace and enjoyment here in the shadow of Mount Magazine, and has many travel books available in the cabin for those seeking to discover what The Natural State of Arkansas has to offer. We fully appreciated some delicious cinnamon rolls Walene prepared for our visit. Thank you again, Walene, for sharing this amazing little Ranch House. You will see us again!
Beautiful views from this cute little cabin
This cabin is exactly as shown on VRBO, with the exception that there are now stairs going from the back porch to the yard. And as much as I tried to resist the cinnamon rolls, I just couldn't do it. And I am pretty sure they are homemade. We got to see the hummingbirds in action and the old, friendly neighbor dogs came to visit; warning, once you pet them, the don't want to leave! We hope to return again.
A little bit of paradise
We had an amazing time. The cabin was stocked with plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. The whole place was cozy. The view of mountains on one side and pasture on the other side make you feel such peace. We also had an extra treat with the many humming birds that would fly by or chase one another. I hated to see our trip end, but had to get back to the fast pace world.
I love this place!
What a nice little cabin, so well cared for and very cute. Perfect place for a couple to get a way and relax together. I really enjoyed my stay here, and the homemade cinnamon rolls were AMAZING!
