greatest place you will ever stay. Just bring food and clothes.
Ocean is your view.
Great location, house was very clean and had everything you need. Very family friendly house and surrounding areas. Would definitely rent again next year. We have also already recommended to others.
This was our second visit to Manasota Key and this property. It felt like we were home again ! The house, furnishings, outdoor areas, and sunsets were fabulous and well maintained. With access to the bay in front of the house and the Gulf of Mexico behind us, we had the best of both worlds. The home was very clean and had plenty of linens. The kitchen was well stocked with additional small appliances. The grill cooked our fish very well and the fire pit was so cozy ! It was awesome being able keep the boat across the street in the private slip with a lift and fish from the dock.
It's difficult to find a FL place that checks all the boxes...just steps from the beach , bay access, dock included, ample trailer parking, accepts pets upon approval, and has awesome views. Mr. Morris took very good care of us !
From the moment we walked through the door, we were mesmerized by the aqua ocean, which is just steps from the back door and can be seen from everywhere in the house. The home was excellent for me, my husband, my disabled father, and our two teenage sons.
THE RIVER: This property is so unique because it's "ocean to river", which really appealed to my family because my two teenage sons love to fish. They used the kayak on property, and we also brought our paddle boards, and we were on that river every day.
THE OCEAN: it was a beautiful aqua blue every day, and to be able to walk out the back door just a few steps and enjoy the ocean, the view, the breeze, was so relaxing. Mr. Morris kindly let us bring our dog, and he had the week of his life, romping around on Manasota Key beach! And searching for prehistoric sharks teeth right on the beach was an added bonus of fun!
THE HOUSE: The great room and kitchen are so spacious. Yes, the house is a little dated, but everything was clean and comfortable, and the house has everything you could think of, from Tupperware to laundry detergent, and every outdoor toy you'd need, like chairs, kayak, boogie boards, etc. My dad is disabled and he got around great.
It was a great week and just the relaxing family time we needed.
"Wow" is all i can say. If you want to forget about the outside world for a while. Come here... We were there from 1 1/2 hour away from home in Naples,FL and it felt like a different world. I had my boat on the bay side, When to Stump pass on in and it was really nice. Drove to Boca Grande one day to see a little of old Florida. But most of all watched someone catch a 100-150 lb Tarpon from the kitchen table in the clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Man i'm i ready to make this a yearly trip. Anyone that has been there can relate to what my family and i enjoyed there. Gofer turtles just hang around in the grass in the back yard, Loggerhead turtles lay their eggs in the beach feet from the back yard. Pretty much my favorite place to go on vacation. fishing is great on the beach also, Snook,Flounder,Whiting are caught within feet from the beach. Love it and hope (God willing) to go back year after year. THANK YOU for the peaceful vacation. 5 star for me.
This is agreat place to stay if your looking for the beach, fishing, privacy, and overall a relaxing vacation. The house is very nice, the beach is right behind you and its very private. You have a dock to fish off of right across the drive. We saw dolphins, manatees, and crabs in the ocean and the bay. My son caught a 20lb. plus snook off of the pier. The house has everything you need with shopping and restaraunts close by.
This place is just great! Stock up at the grocery store on your way in because once you arrive you will not want to leave! Our week long stay was thoroughly enjoyable. I was hesitant about the rental prepayment arrangement by check rather than credit card. However, I learned that the owners are extremely genuine and made our rental transaction seamless, otherwise. It was everything they said it would be. Bill called to check in on us to make sure all was well and he really encouraged us to enjoy the house and its ammenities rather than imposing restrictions on what we could or couldn't do during our stay. The large, open floor plan of the house is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is gigantic and has plenty of surface space to work with and to lay out a spread for a large group without anybody tripping over each other. The view of the beach, through the multiple sliding glass doors, is magnificent, as soon as you walk through the front door, and you will enjoy it while cooking or working from inside. (We brought our own laptops: beware the internet signal and cell signals are not reliable should you absolutely need to conduct business.) Watching the waves roll up to the sand, the dolphins surfacing out in the gulf, and the spectacular sunsets were exciting even for us and we are 25 year Florida residents. The house was clean, very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need to prepare meals and to enjoy the beach. The boat dock across the street is a great bonus feature to explore the bay side. This is real, old Florida at its best. The pictures don't do the place justice. We will definitely be back!
