Modest ranch house (4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom) in magnificent pristine valley. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of meadow, forest, and stream. No neighbors. Dark star-filled sky. Horse trails galore. Because of the many antiques present in and around the house, children are not permitted on premises. Hot tub. Old fashioned working well (Don't fall down!). Scary tornado shelter in the hillside. Long hiking trails start here. Best view of the valley.

Rural beauty
The house is set back from the road down a rural lane surrounded by fields and woods which were beautiful even in December. The ranch style home was good for the 6 of us. The bookshelves and cupboards are loaded with items from the 50s and are interesting to explore. The kitchen is equipped with a flat top stove, 2 ovens, microwave, and a dishwasher with plenty of glassware and dishes. We were glad to have brought our own knives, baking dishes, coffee equipment, and large skillet. Internet was available but did not reach well to the rear areas of the house. We brought our own Fire stick for the TV. Supermarkets are available in Franklin, 5 miles away. The property manager was available by text and phone and very responsive although a notebook that is typically available at rental homes was not present. The backyard had a great hot tub and fire pit with adirondack chairs. Deer were present in the front field on most mornings. Coyotes howled up and down the valley one evening. The Conservancy property was great to explore with wide mown paths available to explore both on flat land and up into the hills. The Conservancy farm is 1 mile down the road. We plan to go back and try one of their properties with a larger group.

Lee Anne and Jonathan are honored be Stewards of our wonderful land so our family, friends, and guests may enjoy the beauty of the Big East Fork Valley. A permanent conservation easement protects most of our land and we are supporters and volunteers of the Center for Sustainable Stewardship. We hope you will join us in helping to preserve our native Tennessee flora and fauna that inhabit this 5000 acre pristine watershed. Lee Anne is a pediatrician and Jonathan is a retired prostate pathologist. So she is well qualified to take care of me! We arise early to enjoy the magical morning light and mists. You might see us riding our tandem bike along the road, tending our horses, or volunteering at the non-profit farm store.
