My family and I stayed at this house over 4th of July weekend 7 adults and 7 kids ranging from 8 to 17. We all had a blast!!!! This house was big enough for us all their is 2 separate living space one with a bar and pool table the other with the tv and couches we brought air mattress and all the kids camped out in the main living room with the tv and watched movies all night and the adults can hang out at the bar play cards or pool. There is a bathroom right off the living room which is nice. Each couple took a room. The room downstairs is off the garage and this house is tri level so you r in basement that room is a bit muggy. The picture with the water that water is not there the water level is very low but you are still walking distance from the marina which is nice. Now with all that being said I feel the owner needs to hire a new cleaning staff the house is VERY old which is fine but the cobwebs around the house on the inside and out is a little much!!! It was July so to open the widows was so nice but covered in cobwebs I think the cleaning crew come in and do bathrooms and change linens and thats it the grill out back was so dirty it looks like they sprayed bug spay and got it on the grill. The spa was so great and the pool table was great its an old pool table sticks are bent but when you have kids playing that's not a big deal. The sauna did not work but it was July so no biggie. If the owner would hire a cleaning crew that paid more detail in cleaning the house better I would go back but the cobwebs were to much and I mean ALOT of cobwebs!!!! Oh p.s make sure to stock up on paper towels, toilet paper, baggies, trash bags and any other paper good you use and you have to climb a flight of stairs to get your bags and groceries to the kitchen.
Overall Great House, Very Large & beautiful. All my friends gave me Kudos for choosing this home. It has that warm and cozy feeling. Saying that...let me get to the nitty gritty... After reading the previous reviews from everyone else I can confirm some of these issues raised. Since the house is large I can see some of the cobwebs waaaaaay up there- which I have no idea how anyone could reach, so no big deal. There is no lighting in the garage, if there is.. we couldn't find the switch. There are several light bulbs out. One next to the bar, one in the bunk bed room. Oh and the Microwave does not work, yes it turns on and is counting down.. but trust me when I say it doesn't work. Definitely needs to be replace.. It was ok though. Too me these things are minor so we just used the stove. The grill worked, the Spa was perfect, and we luuuuved the Sauna.. WE definitely took advantage of all the amenities. Again overall the House was wonderful and I would definitely recommend. Property management was also great.. Easy pick up/drop off of the keys, with instructions and phone numbers to call for any issues. I never did call them..Again my only thing i would say is just replace the microwave. Oh and when we went, it snowed all day.. Just Beautiful.
The cabin was amazing. All my friends had nothing but compliments and we really lucked out that there was finally snow this year. Perfect for big groups or families
The cabin itself its nice and it does fit a large group comfortably but it does needs several upgrades and/or reconditions.
The pool table needs an overall reconditioning, most of the pool cues and the billiard cloth are in bad shape and the balls are in different sizes.
The bunk beds aren't comfortable at all. I guess they don't put any attention to this since kids are usually the ones sleeping on them.
We had several problems with the cabin so I will list them so the owner and/or property management resolve them as quick as possible.
1) The microwave did not work at all, we tried to make popcorn but nothing happened. We called the management property and they sent a guy to fix the problem, an hour and a half later even though they told us it will take 45 min to get there, but since our block had a power outage he couldn't fix it and he said he would be back tomorrow but never did.
2) One of the bathroom's toilets was leaking but it was repaired by the person sent by the property management, although he arrived an hour and a half after we called.
3) On the second night, we wanted to use the grill only to find out that it didn't have a gas tank!!! seriously??
4) There were no lights in the garage, and again since there was a power outage the person sent to repair it said he couldn't fix it, and as before he never returned.
4)Also, on the second night, the TV couldn't be turned off until we unplugged it. It never turned on again.
5)On the last day, we didn't have internet on the whole cabin, don't know if it was the internet company or the modem.
By far this is the cabin that we have encounter that many issues and the most expensive we have leased. We were expecting a more pleasant vacation but I guess it's just one of those unlucky trips and makes you think if I would go back.
We did bring up all these issues to the management property so luckily it will be fixed for the sake of the following leasers and I hope the owner takes our comments seriously as well.
3 families shared this cabin and it was the best vacation/family bonding time. The cabin is not fancy, but very comfortable and very spacious with many gathering spots to relax and enjoy your stay. We've stayed during the summer -- a 1/2 block to the Pleasure Pt Marina where they have boat rentals. For our winter stay, it couldn't have been better. We were able to all gather on the deck when it started snowing for a great family picture. There is a hillside adjacent to the cabin that was perfect for sledding. The property managers were friendly/informative. Some of the furniture is old but not an issue. We'll definitely be back!
Excellent house we had lots of fun everything is very close by everything works perfect had 0 issues lucky for us there was plenty snow outside for the kids to play and plenty snow on summit for snowboarding great experience it's A must visit
