Overview

Lake Tahoe Area House Rental Photos and Description

4BR Lakeview Vacation Rental Zephyr Cove, Nevada USA

This upscale home is located in the sought-after area of Skyland, a lakeside community within Zephyr Cove, which boasts its own private beach.

The refined charm of this English Tudor home is manifested within its 3,400 square feet, with classic period furniture of excellent quality mixed with typical Tahoe touches. The entire home is decorated to appeal to the finest of tastes.

The main floor is the place to gather. The main living room is graced with a steep, open-beam ceiling, and a large brick, wood-burning FIREPLACE AND 60' DIGITAL CABLE TV. Across the hall is the game room with the POOL TABLE AND FOOSBALL TABLE. When it is time to relax, wander outside to the HOT TUB, and enjoy the large deck with PROPANE BARBEQUE. There are 4 over sized luxurious bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms upstairs for the ultimate in relaxation. Come and enjoy this home. We know you will love it!

There you can enjoy movies or games on the large, 60-inch projection television or listen to the stereo.

Just off the living room is an alcove with book shelves full of reading materials and a game table ready for a game of bridge or poker. Across the hall is the pool table room which is set up for those who enjoy the game, or those wanting to learn.

Around the corner, dinner is cooking in the huge kitchen which is stocked with all that is needed to cook your gourmet meal.

Upstairs is the quiet area. There are four large bedrooms -- each with its own elegantly appointed bed and a television. The master bedroom has a 25-inch TV and the other king bedrooms have a 20-inch TV. Two of the lakeside bedrooms -- one of which is the master -- have filtered lake views of Lake Tahoe.

The large master bath has a reviving steam shower to relax those muscles after a long day skiing on the slopes or hiking the mountains. The other two baths have either a stall shower or a shower over a bath tub.

For those who aren't quite ready to go to bed, but want some quiet time away from the partying group downstairs, there is a family room with a 27-inch television, two comfy, leather recliners, and a sofa.

Outside there is a large deck where you can enjoy the sounds of the boats on Lake Tahoe, and the sounds of the wind whistling through the pine trees. Enjoy the new hot tub (new for summer 2003), barbecuing and toddy time while watching the many of animals at play from this relaxing vantage point. Better yet, take a walk down to the beach and wiggle your toes in the lake.

Or do what we do, and take a cup of coffee to watch the sun coming up over the lake!

For the ultimate of enjoyment in Tahoe, give this property a try!

Wonderful space for a large group!

  • 4 of 5

The house is beautiful and spacious for our party of 10 couples. The hot tub is close enough to the house in the winter to enjoy without freezing on the walk to it, plenty of pillows, towels and blankets. Love the pool table and custom foosball table and the proximity to the lake. The only complaint is that there was no blow dryer or dishwashing detergent to do dishes for such a large group. Otherwise i would highly recommend staying here!

Owner's Response: There should have been a hair dryer in the master bathroom in the drawer or in the cabinet under the sink. There should have been another hair dryer in the hall bathroom with the shower, either in one of the drawers or in the cabinet under the sink. Guests have a tendancy to move them around. We left a large dish detergent bottle from Costco in the kitchen before Thanksgiving. I can't believe it could have been used already, but then things disappear.

Room to Rome

  • 3 of 5

If you are looking for roomy spacious accommodations with a great location, this is the place for you. The fact that it finally snowed made it even more beautiful than normal. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. This is a five star location as the community is close enough to town but very quiet. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful even though they knew we were just renters.

I'm giving the home a three star rating only because it's in a bit more dated than the pictures and write up show. Nothing bad about it, I think it needs an updated write up. We were only able to use half the spa as the cover was water logged and too heavy to move, the spa worked fine but only two people at a time. The pool table was nice as was the foosball table, however we had only one pool cue to use as the tips were broken on the others. It still worked for us, but needs attention.

There is a ton of furniture so lots of places to crash. The desk in the alcove was especially helpful as I had to do some work, the view wasn't bad either. There are plenty of TV's in the house. We only used the one in the living room, as the write up suggests, this is where most folks were hanging out. Just be aware, that if the lights seem dim in the dining room or pool table room some of the switches have a dimmer, the dimmer is small but there, you'll work it out.

The fire place was gorgeous and we used it every day. It's too bad that you can't burn firewood but it's still very nice and huge. There is plenty of dishware and glasses. There are pots, pans, and bowls. We purchased another frying pan to add to the collection. I had difficulty finding dish towels so we just used paper towels.

You will not have access to the garage so unloading and loading will require using the front stairs, not a big deal, but just be prepared. On our arrival the steps were very icy from the weather and a couple of folks didn't make it up on the first try. Once we added the deicer left on the front porch it was all good. So if you have cold, snowy, weather check the steps and get the deicer first. There's a snow shovel as well.

The snow removal folks did a great job of keeping the roads and driveway clear for easy access. Several of our family took walks down to the lake, it was fantastic and there lots to see in the neighborhood as far as interesting homes and yards. The lake isn't bad either.

I would definitely recommend Steve and Cheryl's home.

Owner's Response: I sure wish I had known that the spa cover was water logged. Unfortunately, we have noted that with heavy snow loads, at times the snow/icycles drop from over two stories up on this home, and they have damaged the cover in the past. I haven't been to the house to see it, but am calling to replace the cover. I have already picked up the pool cues. In terms of the garage, it should not have been locked. There is sign on the inside of the fire door to the garage that states, Do Not Lock This Door. We allow access into the garage because once the first person is into the house, you can then roll up the garage door and enter the house that way. It's a lot easier in the winter season.

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

The place is in a great location, Plenty of room for ten. The pool table kept everyone busy. Roads are tough when it snows but that is not the owners fault. Overall we had a great Thanksgiving in the place. Plenty of utensils and huge kitchen to get all that cooking done. All in our party we plenty impressed and am sure if available we will rent it again.

Tahoe treasure!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this beautiful home for my daughters 30th birthday. We needed a big home, we had ten people (3 were young children), the home was perfect, tons of room and close to hiking in the forest, we loved that, a short beautiful walk to the lake, and we loved the charm of the house. Thank you so much to the family for sharing their home. We would definitely rent again.

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

I booked this home for my husband's birthday and had a wonderful time. There is enough living space so no one feels cramped, rooms are large and have very comfy beds, location is ideal for the people that want to be close enough to get everywhere but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quite. I would book it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Cheryl and Steve.
