An original 1957 Palmer & Krisel designed, mid-century modern home in the iconic butterfly design. This home is thoroughly renovated and furnished in modern, yet comfortable design in a relatively windless side of southern Palm Springs in a very quiet neighborhood. A stunning renovation to the kitchen was done on the summer of 2014, creating an open concept space for the dining, living room and kitchen area.
Large, flat screen panel high definition TV in living room with stereo with iPod connection, Nintendo Wii game including Guitar Hero and many other games, DVD player with a selection of DVD's and cable TV. High speed wireless internet access throughout house. All the furniture is new and includes designers Eames and George Nelson. All three bedrooms feature their own flat panel high def TV’s, high ceilings and lots of closet space with full-length mirrors. This is a non-smoking home.
The large and very private yard has a perfect sized, deep pool with patio, large heated spa seating 6 and an impressive outdoor gas fire pit for those slightly chilly nights. Plenty of patio chairs, tables and lounges for outdoor relaxation and dining. Pick the most delicious grapefruit right from the tree. This back yard is South facing which is the most desirable and provides direct sun all day with magnificent 180 degree views of the San Jacinto mountains.

Twin Palms is a architecturally significant neighborhood being that it was the first of the Palmer Krisel designs and the first time his iconic Butterfly design was revealed. Beyond the historic significance is that south of Palm Springs downtown gets longer sun hours and very low wind (very important) compared to the equally popular neighborhood of Las Palmas.
We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend and the house was fabulous! Perfect location, everything you need in the kitchen and wonderful pool and spa. Kristin was a great host with quick communication and even allowed us to extend our stay an additional night with short notice. We will definitely stay here again.
My wife and I do a lot of traveling, and I've rented many homes in those travels. This home was by far our favorite property we had stayed in. From the beautiful modernist Krisel design elements to the wonderful kitchen, and the wonderful pool and hot tub. This property had it all.
Twin Palm Estates is one of our very favorite neighborhoods in Palm Springs, and the property is situated in this very walkable good neighborhood full of historic modernist buildings. Wonderful to take the dog for a walk with the sun setting behind the mountains. We could drive easily to all of the shops and restaurants in either direction.
We felt so welcome with our little infant baby and our dog. In addition to the property being amazing, the owner was so wonderful, communicative, and returned some items that we had unfortunately left behind.
We will most definitely be returning.
We love this house! This is our 2nd time staying here and it's easily my new favorite rental in Palm Springs. The house is beautiful and well maintained. It has had a recent kitchen remodel and it looks amazing! Fantastic backyard and pool with a hot tub! The neighborhood is great and you can walk to restaurants and stores, and the owner is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a a beautiful house to have a getaway in the desert!
What a Oasis in the Desert! This mid-century home wowed us from the drive through the Twins Palm neighborhoos to our settling in this beautiful home. There were four of us and there was room to spare. The newly remodeled kitchen is not only stylish but well stocked and functional. This leads to the gem at this location which is the back yard that is private and well groomed. The pool, spa, and fire pit tempted us to lounge the whole week with out exploring the desert. Overall, this home provided a unique experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.
What an incredible four days we had in this spectacular Mid-Century home in the Twin Palms neighborhood of Palm Springs. This spacious three bedroom offered all the amenities and more with its open layout and fabulous brand new kitchen. The home was so clean, nicely furnished, and beautifully maintained - there wasn't a thing we did without. The tranquil patio and backyard was an extension of the home offering plenty of seating space and an awesome view of the San Jacinto mountains. Can't say enough about the pool and spa - fabulous, allowing easy access for my elderly mother to get in and out. And in the chill of the evening, the fire pit offered the perfect setting to recap our day. The owner was incredibly accommodating and made the logisitcs a breeze. I hope this sanctuary is available when we plan our next trip to the desert.
We enjoyed our vacation in the beautiful and quiet Twin Palms neighborhood. The mid-century architecture provided not only the obvious eye-candy but a very unique vacation experience, as well.
The house was inviting, clean and well maintained. The private back yard desert oasis complete with a lawn provided hours of joy for our dogs. The pool, hot tub and the fire pit were absolutely awesome!
The owner was courteous, kind, and pleasant to work with while making rental arrangements.
Last but not least the mountain views from the property were spectacular providing enough of a motivational boost to leave this cozy nest and explore the San Jacinto Mountains via the tram.

Palm Springs has a lot to offer. I see myself returning many times in the future!
