When you stay at Casa Mariposa you will enjoy an amenity which is uncommon in homes that are located in the town of San Pancho. Here, you will have a sense of living in your own tropical resort. Within it's private walls, this home sits on an immense (18,000 sq. ft.) lot filled with tropical palms, fruit trees, and flowering plants. A beautiful home located in a peaceful setting 'Your Home In San Pancho' is a two story home, with a master bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor along with a large terrace. The ground floor has the kitchen, living/dining room, 1/2 bath and laundry room. Also on this lower floor there are additional bedrooms, each with their own private bathroom. For added privacy these bedrooms are accessed from their own entrance on the front porch. We have a small pool for lounging around or taking a dip in. It is a short and flat 10 minute walk through town to the beach. When walking to the beach you can explore the many restaurants, stores, shops, and art galleries of our sweet town. A very enjoyable stroll, a great way to start or end your day. Also, if you like, our property manager can help you make arrangements from exploring the area to having a chef prepare special meals for you in the home.
Dear Larry, We had a wonderful time, your home is beautiful and we were quite comfortable there. Discovering San Pacho was quite a treat and I would recommend your home to others. The property managers were very helpful, friendly and informative. The taxi was available upon our arrival and our travel was quite smoothe. I only wish we had more time! We hope to come again, thanks so much! Carol
We had a great time, it was a very beautiful property for the price. The folks at the property management company really took care of us...especially Daphne, Nieves and Jose Luiz. They were phenomenal...they helped us organize our little civil ceremony and help us with our kids when they were sick, we even had to take our 6 year old to the urgent care there. The only thing that was hard for us was that the 2nd and 3rd bedroom had outside entrances, and our kids are little, so we couldn't have them sleep in the rooms, so we had to have them sleep in the living room, so if you have little ones, maybe not the right house.
We stayed here in Feb 2016. The house is very comfortable and nicely decorated We enjoyed the pool and the sundeck. With the separate bedrooms, this would be ideal for two or three couples travelling together or a family.
A very nice very well managed property
We had a wonderful 11 days at Casa Mariposa on our recent visit to San Pancho. It is every bit as beautiful as the pictures show and has all the necessary amenities that are listed in the property description. The walk into town and to the beach is a short 10 minutes with many great places to stop for coffee, eat a meal or shop. We had 24 friends and family staying at other accommodations (nothing came close to our Casa!) and Maria''s Restaurant was a good place to eat for a large group. We also loved La Ola Rica and would highly recommend them. Every part of the trip was easy to arrange from making our first reservations with the owner, Larry Luttrell, to emails with Jose Luis, Penelope, and Nieves (property manager and assistants). Questions you might have will be quickly answered by any of these hard working, efficient employees. And if that isn't enough, the landscaper, Marcelo, and housekeeper, Elida, do an amazing job taking care of the house and gardens. If you're lucky enough to be around when Marcelo comes, you may be treated to a coconut harvest and have enough coconuts to last your entire stay. My family and I will definitely return to San Pancho and wouldn't want to stay any where else than Casa Mariposa. Thank you so much for this trip of a lifetime!
We had a wonderful time at "our home in San Pancho". Everyone was so nice at the management company and I enjoyed meeting Marcello the gardener and the lovely woman who cleans the house. The house is absolutely gorgeous and we were very comfortable. It definitely has a feel of paradise. I enjoyed walking through the neighborhoods where the Mexican residents live. Everyone was welcoming. Thank you Larry and team!
We had 2 weeks here at Casa Mariposa and hated to leave. The house is a work of art, great design. We each had our own ample private space and so much communal space. It is well equipped too; not once did anyone say, "I just wish we had ___________, because it truly had everything you need. Every morning, having our coffee outside, we would just take in the beauty of the outdoor spaces. The chickens and roosters are even beautiful. And we had two iguanas that kept us company. The staff is helpful and unobtrusive. And San Pancho is the best little town. We called it "Mayberry of Mexico" (for all you gringos over 50). We will be back in a couple of years. Thanks Larry for making it all so easy.
What a marvelous home to stay in while in San Pancho! From watching the squirrels playing in the palm trees, to the "San Pancho" roosters with their hens, to the Iguanas scurrying across the beautiful lawn, it was such a relaxing pleasure to come back to your home Lawrence.
I've been to Mexico many times and this is by far the best place Linda and I have stayed!
Marcello, the grounds keeper, was there at least once a week and maintained the area like a park. He obviously takes personal pride in the work that he does. He came over one day with his climbing spikes and pruned one of the palms. Since he had no one to help him, I enjoyed assisting him by untying the rope as he lowered the coconut pods.
Ellie, the housekeeper, kept the house very clean and was a joy to be around.
Jose Luis, the property manager, was there to greet Linda and I when we arrived and answered any and all questions that we had. Since all speak very good english, there was never any problem communicating.
While we were there, for the month, I enjoyed watching the building of house on the other side of the street. It turned out to be Lawrence's brother Michael. It was a pleasure talking to Micheal and the construction workers about the building process.
Linda and I enjoyed the walk, from the house, into San Pancho and to the beach. The road leads past an amazing small cemetery that is very well taken care of. From there, it's just a few minutes and you're in town, where you can go to the beach or enjoy some of the best food anywhere.
Linda and I enjoyed taking the Compostela bus into town on two occasions. The cost is only 40 pesos and takes you into the bus terminal by the airport. From there, you take the "blue" bus marked "centro". Once you're in town, you can get off anywhere. This is something I would definitely recommend, if you have the time. It's a great experience.
Lawrence is the most organized and easiest individual to work with! Everything was done quickly and thoroughly. I will be contacting Lawrence again for a future stay.
I have to mention one more thing: Lawrence has what appears to be an 8'X16' solar panel on the roof so there is never any problem with hot water! Linda and I greatly appreciated that.

Great place to just relax and enjoy the day. Walk on the beach, go horseback riding, hike around, bird watch, sit on the beach with a cold beer. Take day trips to surrounding towns and areas. Lots of wonderful restaurants you can walk to.
