Villa Renaissance is like your own elegant private little world on Grace Bay. It is located on the west end of Grace Bay close enough to walk to everything, but far enough to be away from the big resorts with all the chairs on the beach. Just a pristine, private area of Grace Bay with miles of beach walking in either direction. This was our first time staying at Villa Renaissance. We stayed in this ground floor unit just steps to the ocean. We loved being on the ground floor! The unit is a perfect amount of space for two people and the furnishings are very tasteful. The view was breathtaking, true to the pictures here on VRBO. What we liked most about the ground floor unit is you could just walk a few steps to the beach from the unit, so it felt like you were living right on the water. The unit was perfect -- every need was thought of, from laundry detergent to wash our swim suits daily to snorkel equipment to great daily maid service to a cell phone with minutes. Mel from management took great care of us. Corell at the front desk greeted us every morning with a big smile and since he grew up on the island, he told us all the fun things to do. I'll never forget his thoughtfulness on my birthday -- he surprised me and called the restaurant and had them set off fireworks on the beach while they sang me happy birthday. I cried, I was so touched. Grace Bay on Turks & Caicos is one of my favorite beaches in the world, Villa Renaissance is the perfect, private place to stay on Grace Bay, and this unit was just perfect for us!
This was our 6th trip to Turks and Caicos, our second time at the Villa Renaissance, and our first time in condo 102. Look no further, this is everything you could possibly want. The condo was beautiful and the location is ideal. I would only like to add that the people who work here, Shereen, Gorgeous, and Bentley for example, add that special touch to everyday. You quickly come to think of them as friends! We did encounter a small problem with the washing machine. I called Mel and within 10 minutes someone from maintenance was at my door. The problem was fixed immediately! Thank you to everyone at the Villa Renaissance for making our vacation perfect! We'll be back!!!
The villa is gorgeous and is as advertised. Large T.V. and DVD player in the nicely furnished living room. The sliding glass doors open in four 5' sections, providing amazing views of Grace Bay. Full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and marble countertops. Bedroom has plenty of closet space, T.V. and large safe. Both bathrooms have glass-enclosed showers (no bath tubs). Bi-level patio has a table, 4 chairs and two lounge chairs. The villa is air conditioned, has a washer & dryer and has ceiling fans throughout. The complimentary wireless internet connection is secure. Owner has supplied the villa with over 50 DVD's and board games. Also supplied was enough coffee and laundry soap to last our five night stay.
The boutique resort is located in the heart of Grace Bay. It's adjacent to the Regent Village and across the street from the Salt Mill Plaza; putting it within walking distance to over a dozen restaurants and the IGA Gourmet grocery store. No need for a rental car - just use the bicycles provided by management, if necessary. The resort provides beach towels, lounge chairs and beach umbrellas and the beach is staffed by attendants. The nearby Vix Bar & Grill provides pool, beach and room service. The resort has a full service bar, swimming pool & Jacuzzi, tennis court, spa, business & fitness center. There is a computer and printer in the guest lounge.
Can't say enough about Nicola and Mel from Allied Management. Nicola handled my initial inquiry and subsequent booking on line. During our stay we walked to her office to pay off our balance and ended up chatting with her for over 30 minutes - what a nice lady! On our last full day, Nicola stopped by to say good-bye and insure that we were happy with the villa. Mel met us upon our arrival. She was very helpful getting us settled in and answering the slew of questions we had about the resort and the general area of Grace Bay. Have no concerns when booking this villa or another other property managed by Allied.
Our stay at Villa Renaissance was exceptional and we would definitely consider a return visit.
Our stay at Villa Renaissance was wonderful. Unit is exactly as described in the listing. Grounds are clean and well maintained.
Nicola and Mel were very helpful from the time we inquired about renting the unit and thru-out our stay. Mel arranged for a reliable taxi to take us to the airport. Unit was cleaned every day with fresh towels provided when needed.
Staff at Villa Renaissance was very friendly and always willing to be helpful. The umbrellas and chairs are out early every morning for your use on the beach.
Walking the beach either way from the unit allows you access to several restaurants.
We found several good places to eat close by. Fresh Catch was our favorite place for lunches. The Grocery story is a nice walk; they have everything you need for meals in the unit if you chose to do that.
We had a great horse ride with Provo Ponies one morning. They pick you up and bring you back to the Condo.
Certainly a place we hope to return to again someday.
My Wife and I traveled from California to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Our Honeymoon was a Caribbean cruise and I wanted to go back but didn’t to be on a ship for this occasion. The condo was very comfortable. Our stay occurred during the off season, so many of the local shops and restaurants were closed, but there were still plenty open to allow for some choices. This also allowed us to have the beach to ourselves most days.
The Condo was very nice. Since it was humid during our stay, the air conditioning was very much appreciated, as were the ceiling fans in the living room and the bedroom. Also, having satellite TV also made the condo really feel like “Home”, especially on Sunday when I could watch the football game.
The view from the condo living room is as shown on the website, and it was really nice to wake up and see that view every morning.
As for the property management folks, Nicola really was attentive and was always very helpful. We knew if we needed anything, she was a phone call away. When we arrived at 8:30 on Saturday evening she was right there to greet us and introduce us to the hotel staff and showed us the property.
The Villa Renaissance resort is very well maintained and the grounds were spotless. Two of our daughter’s are engaged to be married, and I’m trying to convince one of them to stay here for their honeymoon!
We also enjoyed the fact that we could go grocery shopping with an easy walk, or a really fast bike ride, using the resort bicycles. This made the cost of eating less, since we could eat breakfast and Lunch at the condo.
We had some very nice dinners. I would recommend Hemmingways, a short 15 min walk and Coco’s Bistro, for a unique outdoor dining experience.
I was able to play golf at the only course on Provo. The manager there was very accommodating and I was able to get a good discount, as the golf course and Villa Renaissance were built by the same builder.
My husband and I stayed at Villa Renaissance, unit 102, for one week in June 2012. From the moment we booked the until in November up until or arrival Nicola and Julie Ann were fantastic giving us everything from restaurant recommendations to island tips. They always responded to our emails faster than you could ever hope for. From the moment we arrived at the resort, Mel took great care of us all week, from arranging our rental car, other island tips and suggestions and reconfirming reservations.
The unit itself was fabulous. It is clean, well stocked and in a great location. We were able to walk to dinner on via the beach every night. The staff at Villa Renaissance was also top notch. They kept the pool towels stocked, the resort area clean, invited us to the manager's cocktail hour, cut open coconuts for us to drink from and occasionally brought around bottled water to the pool area. They are also very helpful in answering any questions.
Things that we found useful: complimentary bikes at the resort, a wheeled basket to carry your groceries home for the store in, small cooler in the unit, umbrellas in case of rain.
We would highly recommend this unit and resort to our friends and family and look forward to coming back.
