This is not your usual busy condo / hotel, this condo is very private, quiet, peaceful and relaxing.
The resort's name Hale Mahina - meaning 'House of the Moon' in Hawaiian is nested halfway between Kaanapali and Kapalua area in West Maui. The sunsets are spectacular as well as the moon rise...
This serene complex is a low rise building, very private and equipped with a oceanfront heated pool and jacuzzi. Snorkel or swim from the beach just steps away from the condo. The property is set among lush tropical gardens and there is nothing but the ocean and a sandy private beach out in front, what a picture!
The 1 bedroom, ground floor corner unit has been totally remodeled and is a great set up for vacation rental. We are in the 'B' building, ground floor south corner unit 106. It is spacious and beautifully decorated. Bright, modern, elegant, still relaxing and comfortable. The condo surrounds guests with Hawaiian informality while providing all the conveniences of home, including a full, completely equipped kitchen, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and 2 slice toaster, 12 CUP COFFEE MACHINE WITH FILTERS, and a blender, this is a great large kitchen.
The condo features high efficient ceiling fans in each room, as the condo is not air conditioned. Also a 'IN ROOM SAFE' for storage of your valuables.
The bedroom features a California King Bed, draped with high quality linens and bedding, built in closet organizer, modern ceiling fan and lots of screened windows for sunlight and tropical breezes.
The bathroom is tiled floor to ceiling with slate and has a glass door in the shower area, also a window for fresh breezes as well as a great ceiling fan. We supply bath towels for your use for your stay, and also have a hair dryer available. We stock small amenity shampoo, bath gel, soap, and lotion to get you started on arrival.
We haven't forgotten the in-suite washer/dryer as well as iron and ironing board, just in case you are feeling a bit home sick...
Being a corner unit, we have lots of windows and light. The lanai is perfect for relaxing or just catching a catnap, the sound and sight of the ocean will put you to sleep, Now this is almost better than home! Come and relax!! Enjoy...
The parking is free as well as local phone calls and also complimentary Wire-less Internet service.
THIS IS A NON SMOKING CONDO, - PLEASE NO SMOKING IN THE CONDO OR ON THE LANAI AREA. THE BUILDING HAS DESIGNATED SMOKING AREAS SET UP IF YOU NEED TO SMOKE.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Your rental charges are fully refundable (less $125 book keeping fee) if you cancel your reservation on or eight weeks before the date of your arrival. If you cancel after that date, the rental charges are nonrefundable and forfeited in full, unless we are able to re-book the unit for the same dates, time and conditions as your reservation. To recoup the costs of nonrefundable travel expenses, we strongly encourage you to purchasing Trip Cancellation Insurance.

Hale Mahina never dissappoints
Thanks Bonnie and Hale Mahina B-106 for another enjoyable stay. The weather did not always cooperate but the accommodation was top notch. Our kids made lots of new friends with the many families staying at the Hale Mahina at spring break.
We love Hale Makena! Our stay in B106 was perfect. Very secure and quiet. The condo is well appointed. It was our perfect home away from home.

Condo was a little run down. Broken toaster, cracked plastic glasses, toilet running all the time,
Bonnie came and fixed what she could, but condo needs some tlc.Location was great grounds well kept. Thank you
I am sorry you felt that my condo had issues that cause a 3 star review.
Let me go over your noted review issues..
Our condo toaster is not a basic toaster. It is an upgraded model that has a labeled button that you push that lights up blue to end your toasting. You do not force and pull the toaster lever up. That would be the only way it would break.
The toaster button worked fine with the guests before you. I am not sure what happened.
I replaced the toaster for you, so this would not be a issue as you received a new replacement the same hour that you said it was not working.
The toilet was not running when I did a walk thru the date you were scheduled to checked in. It was 4 days after your check in date, that you called me. I had a plumber come in on a SUNDAY to find out the problem, less than 2 hours after you contacted me. It is usually wise not to try and turn off plumbing pipes unless you are qualified. The toilet was fixed in les than 10 minutes that the plumber showed up.
I am sorry that I did not know the one PLASTIC glass was cracked. I see it did have a crack on the bottom that not even you could see until you realized your beverage was almost empty. This you told me when I was replacing your toaster. No one could see the crack. I do know we have more than 1 plastic glass and I do appreciate that you kind enough to let me know. I did bring over 2 extra replacements same time as the toaster.
Communication is number 1, and I am glad you did finally contact me on the Sunday your 4 day of your stay so I was aware of your issues. All was taken care of.
Where to start?? Very nice and clean condo. Had all the amenities available. Perfect location. More or less a private beach. Sea life was present. Pool, hot tub, and ocean front yard was impeccably well taken care of. Sunsets that didn't last long enough. Made friends with neighbors that own units themselves. Morning coffee with the regulars watching Molokai light up with the sunrise. Nightly blowing of the conch by Loren; a "Pu" ritual. Stores within minutes. Restaurants within minutes!
Will be coming back on a regular basis!!
