For the discriminating couple, we are located in the Palm Villas, a new, gated, 44-unit property, the 'Pearl' of the Mauna Lani Resort. The lush landscaping and small density make it tranquil and relaxing. Our upstairs unit is located away from the beautiful pool area so it is especially quiet. We enjoy a beautiful sunset view and look west over the resort's Hawaiian historic preserve from our private lanai and bbq.
This is a large one-bedroom master suite with a walk-in closet, soaking tub, and separate shower. Professionally decorated, vaulted ceilings, fans, gourmet kitchen, lanai with built-in barbeque, additional full bath, and washer/dryer will make you feel right at home.
The Palm Villas enjoys their own pool area, with hot tub, and a workout room. We are steps away from the famous Mauna Lani Spa, Fitness Center, and Tennis Complex. A short walk will take you to the grounds of the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows.
The other direction takes you to the new Shops at Mauna Lani, which includes Tommy Bahama restaurant and retail store, Ruth Chris Steak House, art galleries, and other great shops. Most important is our new Foodland Gourmet Market with a deli, bakery, fresh meat/fish, fine wines and cheeses.
Golf courses and beautiful beaches are all within minutes. You may also enjoy swimming, snorkeling and sunbathing at our private Beach Club that is open daily for lunch by the sea.

It's been our third trip to the Big Island and this was one of the most relaxing of the 3, thanks to your very comfortable home. The location is great. We took advantage of the golf course, the spa, the pool & all the delicious nearby restaurants. Canoe House was so scenic and we were regulars at Tommy Bahama's!
We are just completing our stay this morning and have thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this very nice condominium. The Owner is extremely well-organized and very professional and easy to deal with. Furthermore, and perhaps more importantly, it is clear the Owner has expended significant time/energy/money into equipping this place very well. Not only well-equipped to meet their tastes and needs, but it is clear they have looked at it from the standpoint of the renter. We really didn't 'want' for anything while staying here. Everything we could want was provided, of very high quality, and in very good condition. The location of the condominium is quite nice with beautiful sunset views each night during our dinner on the lanai, a very nice and easy walk through the lava field (on a paved trail) and then through the Hawaiian fish ponds down to the private Beach Club - arguably one of the best snorkeling spots in all of Hawaii. Also, just across the street from the Spa and Tennis Club and a very easy walk to the Mauna Lani Bay hotel (for a magical sunset dinner on the patio).
This is our second trip to Mauna Lani and we absolutely love it. The resort is everything we want in a relaxing and first-class vacation. The Beach Club is fantastic, and a wonderful (my favorite) place for dinner. The two golf courses are really enjoyable. Overall, this is a great place to stay for a wonderful Hawaiian vacation!

This condo was the perfect location for first-time visitors to the Big Island. Spacious, well-maintained and well-equipped, nicely furnished and decorated; all we added were a few groceries and it felt like home. Sally's guest suggestions were very helpful to many of our dining and sight-seeing decisions. Loved Merriman's in Waimea! Don't miss spending time at the Beach Club at Mauna Lani Bungalows. We spent an overnight at Kilauea (not to be missed) and an escorted sunset/star gazing adventure on Mauna Kea. Many sights and conveniences are just a short drive (and in some cases just a short walk) from he condo. Be sure to enjoy the entire property (pool, historic lava field walk, ancient fish ponds, etc.) also, be sure to read Sally's detailed instructions about gate and entry codes and you won't go wrong. This was a wonderful place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Thanks Sally!
My wife and I spent a super week here. The condo is exactly as described, everything we needed was available. The condo owner, Sally, really knows her stuff. Everything was labeled, all needed kitchen, washroom and laundry items were supplied (they even had a spare propane gas canister under the grill); it was obvious that this was a totally professional operation.
Renting the condo gives you access to a private beach club. We found this to be a real plus. The beach club has a wonderful beach with good snorkeling, a restaurant, bar, clean rest rooms, beach chairs and cabanas. It was one of the best beach location we found on the island!
All in all, the best condo experience we've had in 5 trips to Hawaii!
This well appointed condo was perfect for two people. The condo has two bedrooms locked out but it is still quite large. The second story unit has nice views of the lava fields and the distant coast. An interesting walk through an adjacent park takes you to the private beach in about ten minutes. A five minute drive does the same. Other public beaches are nearby.
The owner Sally is very pleasant and easy to work with. She refunded our damage deposit in just a few days. Our recommendation is a strong five star for the owners and the unit.
Everything about this condo is top notch, from our interactions with the owner to the condo itself.
This is actually a 2 BR condo with one of the bedrooms locked off so it is perfect for a couple. The condo is immaculately clean, nicely furnished and well stocked with spices, condiments, etc. that made it much easier to cook our own meals.
We ate (and often cooked) most of our meals on the lanai, overlooking the lava fields and a distant peek at the ocean. The evening sunsets over the palm trees was a great backdrop to our evening meals in particular. The outdoor kitchen on the lanai was a great amenity.
The complex itself was very quiet. As I sit here writing my review this afternoon it is one of the few times we've even heard anyone else. We haven't used the pool yet since we've been spending our time at the nearby beaches. This is a great base from which to explore all the Kohala Coast beaches, including the beach at the nearby Beach Club and the black sand beach at the Mauna Lani. We can come back here for lunch and to get out of the sun for a while in the afternoon and then hit another beach in the afternoon with only a short drive.
Sally, the owner, has been great to work with, from the time I first contacted her about booking the condo, through a problem with my bank's bill pay that delayed our final payment, to responding promptly to any questions we had once we arrived.
There is no doubt we would return here if we ever return to the Big Island in the future.
My husband and I loved our stay here. This condo is beautifully furnished and very well stocked. Even nicer than I expected! Loved the quiet there and the lovely pool. Enjoyed the view of the lava fields and walking through the historic site and fishponds area. We appreciated the snorkeling gear and beach chairs which we took with us while visiting beaches other than the Beach Club. In addition to great snorkeling from the Beach Club, we also went just down the road to 49 Black Sand Beach for more wonderful snorkeling. Great location if you want snorkeling close by. We went every day! Sally was very easy to work with. We appreciated her helpful booklet of restaurants, beaches and places to visit. We would highly recommend it and would love to return!
