Cottage, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8)
We are a family of 6 from Charlotte
Owner purchased this Cottage in 2004
Why Owner chose West Beach
It has everything to do, but is private and beautiful. The resort has nightly activities for all ages, but there are no crowds to manage. The beach is wonderful and Charleston is only 40 minutes away.
What makes this Cottage unique
Directly across the street from the pool and nearly on the beach (you can hear the ocean on the deck). With private view of Sparrow Pond, you can enjoy the wonderful low country evenings in solitude.

Great location to beach/pool.
The cottage is adequately furnished and had a great location. Linens and towels are very worn out... and pillows were so bad, we had to go buy some that weren't completely flat. The house was clean in some areas, but looked like it hadn't been cleaned in others.
We are very sorry you had issues with the pillows and felt the cottage was not universally clean. I wish we would have known during your stay and we would have had both rectified immediately. We will make sure to replace the pillows this year and have a deep clean completed.
Great family vacation!
This cottage was in a great location! It is right across from the pool and a short walk to the beach! (About 5 min) The place was clean and comfortably slept 5 adults and 2 children. The kitchen had newer appliances and everything we need to make breakfast and lunch daily. The community is not well lit at nighttime, so I would recommend bringing a flashlight if you like to walk on the beach at night. Overall great experience and I highly recommend this rental if looking for a low key family beach trip!
So glad you had a good time and the cottage was what you were looking for. We would love to have you back!
Nice property, well-positioned, great value!
We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. Like most cottages in this area of Kiawah, it is a little older -- BUT this cottage has been appropriately updated. The kitchen has newer appliances and updated countertops, as well as hardwood floors throughout. We are a family of five and were very comfortable. One of the biggest advantages of this property is LOCATION. It is directly across from the community pool and only a short walk to the beach. The beach access point also has two showers for rinsing off. We were very pleased with our stay and hope to rent again!
Excellent location to the beach and pool!
When we checked in everything was clean and cozy. I would recommend this rental to anyone who wants to be close to the beach! We had a great vacation!
My family and I returned this year. It is so close to the beach and pool. The place is always clean and everything works well. The bIke trails are great. We had a wonderful time.
Our stay at 1091 Sparrow Pond Cottage
Just completed a five night stay at 1091 Sparrow Cottage and will have to say that it was one of the best trips that we have been on. The location was great, being close enough to the beach that my father-in-law and mother-in-law could walk to it and close enough to the swimming pool that my 5 year old niece could basically live there. I would estimate that the swimming pool is no more than 300 feet from the cottage. We had a good size number of folks with us and when we got there we thought that could be a problem but it was not a problem whatsoever. The dining room is great as it overlooks Sparrow Pond. This was our first trip to Kiawah Island and it turned out to be a good one. Great beach to walk on in the mornings and to ride bikes on in the evening. Seems like Kiawah is kind of geared for bike riders and although we did our part of riding, I know we didn't begin to scratch the surface of all of the paths on the Island. In one of the previous reviews, it stated that gators were in the pond out back and we saw at least one and maybe two. While biking we saw a number of gators in the several different ponds throughout the Island. The owner of this property was great to deal with in renting the cottage. In closing, yes, I would recommend this cottage and yes, I would recommend a trip to Kiawah Island.
