Aside from fine dining, there are many things to do in this area. Depending on the season, you could catch a famous Canadians hockey game at the Bell Center, go rock climbing at Allez-Up indoor rock climbing gym or rent a kayak and paddle on the Lachine Canal.

You can also walk or cycle on the Lachine Canal bike path which is just 15 minutes by bike to the Old Port and Old Montreal. Note that you can leave your bikes at home because we provide 4 adult bikes free of charge with helmet and locks based on a first come first serve system. Finally, for small children and family there is a nice park with playground and splash pad just one block away.

I travel a lot myself renting this kind of properties and always take good notes of every positif aspects to try to incorporate them in our apartments. I always wanted to own a hotel and this about as close as it gets.

Why Etienne Masse chose Montreal

We love this area, it is vibrant and interesting. The Atwater market is a great place to have a nice coffee and a dessert on weekends and the Canal Lachine area is a daily source of enjoyment in the summer. Great bike paths and walking areas that lead to the Old Port of Montreal.

Good restaurants and we are very close to the subway system (called Metro) downtown reachable in minutes just a couple of station away.

What makes this apartment unique

Proximity to downtown / Old Montreal, walking distance to the Atwater market, Metro (subway) Place St-Henri, grocery store, lot of really good restaurants and nice pubs.

Perfectly located in a vibrant neighbourhood to come and enjoy the real Montreal experience!

thoroughly enjoyed our few days here. Etienne was very helpful and responsive. we found everything we needed in this beautiful apartment. there are great local opportunities - walked to Atwater Market, to dinner (le tequila bar, f + f pizza) and for ice cream (cremerie dalla rose). easy to take the metro into the city. can't wait to come back!

We loved our stay in Montreal. The apartment was perfect for us in every way! We spent a lot of time relaxing on the roof patio after a day exploring. The Landlord was very helpful and was timely about answering questions . The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. We would recommend renting this apartment to friends or family in the future.

Convienent charming locale

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from a 3 day getaway and absolutely enjoyed my stay in Montreal at Gallery 1. The apartment was in a great location. It was very convenient and an easy walk to the Metro station a few blocks away, which was a great way to get around the city and see the sights. For basic rations, there is a corner store a few doors down from the apartment. I enjoyed also walking over to Marche Atwater and enjoying a cup of coffee and pastry while watching the vendors set up and sell their products. If you enjoy nature, there were also a few parks nearby that I wish I had more time to relax in.

I did not cook, but the kitchen appeared to have a good stock of basic cooking supplies that would serve you well if you made your own meals. The bath tub is really that deep, and it was a glorious treat to soak in after walking around the city all day, and the bed was so comfortable that at times I didn't want to leave.

Etienne was a treat to work with - very responsive from the minute I requested to book, throughout the entire stay and made the entire process seamless - from booking to check in to check out.

I highly recommend booking here if you plan to visit, and I will definitely consider renting this property again should I return to town.

Wonderful Spring Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent three nights in Gallery 1 over a beautiful Spring weekend at then end of April 2017 on our first trip to Montreal. We were able to access the unit easily when we arrived, and found it spacious, bright, and full of comfortable furniture and charming art work. The location in St. Henri was terrific for our getaway, with numerous tasty restaurants within a 5-min walk, as well as a Metro station within 10-mins walk. We were thrilled to take advantage of the bikes that Etienne had available to borrow, the nearby canal bike path, Atwater Market, and the rooftop grills and patio space. The convenience store located across the street on the corner had any item you may want or need for a short vacation. We would highly recommend staying at this property to anyone visiting Montreal.

Surprisingly Beautfiul

  • 5 of 5

Not being familiar with Montreal, we were hesitant in coming to this apartment, which from the outside is quite unassuming. We were thrilled to find it newly renovated and tastefully decorated. The online pictures in this case do not represent the full worth of this apartment. It is spacious, well set-up, close to many restaurants, grocery stores and transportation. We fully appreciated the binder of information from the owner regarding Montreal and local places to consider. We truly enjoyed our time in this space.
