We offer great value and a quality experience in a dynamic neighborhood that is quiet, close to downtown and has many of Montreal’s top restaurants.

Gallery 2 is in a meticulously restored century old building close to downtown, minutes from Place St-Henri subway station (Metro), the Atwater Market and the historic Lachine Canal. An ideal home away from home in one of the most dynamic villages in Montreal called Sud-Ouest. Parking is free in the streets in front and around the building.

This two bedroom second floor apartment has lots of natural bright light and sleeps 4 to 6. It is an open kitchen to dining room, a living room, a master bedroom, a second bedroom, a bathroom and a very large deck. It features one queen size bed, two single beds & a sofa double pull-out bed. The full equipped kitchen with dishwasher is open to the large dining room that leads out to a very large deck. The bathroom has a deep tub with shower perfect to relax after days of sightseeing and front loading washer/dryer. Finished with hardwood floors, spotlessly clean, original art decorated, high quality furnishings & linens. Fans in every room and central AC for comfort. One flat screen HDTV, DVD player, cable TV, Netflix, WIFI high speed internet & bluetooth stereo system provided for entertainment. Also comes stocked with books, board games and a small collection of DVD’s for all ages.

Called Gallery 2 because this is 1 of 3 units in our building isolated to minimize noise between levels. The other unit that we rent is Gallery 1 (#211812) with one bedroom. Two patio sets and BBQ’s are on the deck shared on occasion with Gallery 1 next to a beautiful rooftop garden.

Good food is just steps away at the deluxe IGA grocery store or the delicious Atwater market where you can savor gourmet foods, pastries and deli style food. If you prefer to eat out, we are a few minutes walking from some of Montreal’s top restaurants like Joe Beef, Liverpool House, Tuck Shop, H4C, Smoking Vallée or CHO. If you prefer a drink in a hip setting there is La Drinkerie, Burgundy Lion, Grumman 78 or Ludger and many others just around the corner.

Depending on the season, you could catch a famous Canadians hockey game at the Bell Center, go rock climbing at Allez-Up indoor rock climbing gym or rent a kayak and paddle on the Lachine Canal 2 blocks away from the apartment. You can also walk or cycle on the Lachine Canal bike path which leads to the Old Port and Old Montreal in just 15 minutes. Note that we provide 3 adult bikes free of charge with helmet and locks. Finally, for small children and family there is a nice park with playground and splash pad just one block away.

Great area, good restaurants and we are very close to the subway system (called Metro) downtown reachable in minutes just a couple of station away.

Very close to the Atwater market where there is great food and restaurants. We are also minutes from the Canal Lachine which has great bike paths and walking areas that lead to the Old Port of Montreal.

What makes this apartment unique

Proximity to downtown / Old Montreal, walking distance to the Atwater market, Metro (subway) Place St-Henri, grocery store, lot of really good restaurants and nice pubs.

We loved everything about this charming apartment! The owner was so easy to deal with, and very accessible to answer all questions. He even took time to install the air conditioner while getting ready to leave the province for his son's wedding! The apartment is immaculate, meticulously maintained and well equipped for everything you need. The outdoor deck and barbecue were a huge bonus, as was the washer and dryer. Beds were very comfortable and the deep soaker tub (with shower) was lovely. The only thing I'd ever add to this great place is a small coffee table in the sitting room - so we could have a place to lay our glass of wine at the end of the day! The location is excellent as well - this was my first visit to Montreal, on a cross-country trip, and it is quite easy to access travelling east on the Trans Canada Highway. It is just around the corner from a Metro stop, which was wonderful to visit all parts of Montreal. Lots of great little restaurants in the area as well - we ate at the Greenspot Diner (good diner food) and The Burgundy Lion Pub (amazing menu! highly recommended). There is also an IGA just up the road, great for supplies. And also quite close to the great Atwater Market, which we really enjoyed visiting. The canal is very nearby also, and is great for walking. We stayed 4 nights in Gallery #2 apartment, and would very definitely return. We highly recommend staying here!

Quiet street in great location!

Great apartment! Very clean and well kept. Many thanks to John and Jane for their warm welcome and supply of fresh Montreal bagels! The owners were always available if needed. Well organized local information and wireless internet on site. Quiet location close to Atwater Market, the Lachine canal, and downtown. Recently renovated and plenty of space for our 16 month old to roam. We visit Montreal often and the apartment was perfect for our family gathering (fully equipped kitchen). We're planning to rent the unit again for upcoming visits.

Perfect stay!

We are a family with young children and we had a perfect stay. Convenient location for us - a few streets over from immediate family - and the apartment had all of the conveniences of home. Very clean, responsive owner, and comfortable for all. Looking forward to our next visit.

Tout standing furnishings

Best furnished apartment we have stayed in. Hip area, easy access by metro to downtown attractions. Nearby Atwater Market is a must stop. Bus #55 to Plateau Mont Royal to see panarama view of city.

Charming and bright

This apartment very clean and well stocked. It is one block off of a main street so quiet, in residential area. Short walk to subway which we used daily to get everywhere, and IGA on the way back to apartment .Ouside eating area pleasant. I would stay there again

Just like home!

My daughters and I stayed a week at this charming apartment. The location was perfect: close to the St. Henri metro stop, a wonderful coffee shop, and a delicious taco restaurant! The apartment was spacious, clean and we enjoyed coming back to it after a day of sightseeing! I would definitely stay here again!
