The living room, king master bedroom suite, and panoramic deck all have completely unobstructed ocean views. Don’t be fooled: this Cedar Reef villa building is one of only two (D and K) that are TRUE oceanfront (we are D building). All of these other villa buildings have 1 to 3 buildings between them and the beach, AND sit perpendicular to the beach!

Located on private, gated Harbor Island, this villa is just steps away from:

• ocean and 3.2 miles of private, secluded, white, sandy beach

• 4 pools including one “Olympic” and one 'baby'

• Harbor Island Beach and Racquet Club (BRC)

Audio-Visual: We added a 42-inch flat screen TV with cable television and DVD in the family room. Each bedroom has a flat screen cable TV. There is WIRELESS hi-speed Internet access and FREE long distance telephone calls within the continental U.S.!

Renovations: Since we acquired the property, we have updated the kitchen. The kitchen includes full-sized Whirlpool Duet washer/dryer, over the range microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster, crockpot, new cabinets, new counters. We have re-painted the entire unit and added laminate wood floors on the entire first floor. We have replaced the entire heat/air conditioning systems, hot water heater and refrigerator. We replaced the carpeting in the upstairs hallway and both bedrooms as well as the stairs. We added a new L-shaped sofa with queen pull out bed.

Unit location: The entrance to our unit is located on the second floor of the building. It is a townhouse style unit with the bedrooms on the second floor of the unit and the kitchen, dining room and family room on the entry level. This allows for spectacular views over the dunes of the ocean and also allows the unit to feel more spacious and to give some separation from guests trying to sleep vs guests awake in the living area.

Wow ... It is absolutely gorgeous here at Harbor Island! We love the condo. A perfect blend of being away from everything and being close to interesting points. I think we may have to make your condo a yearly destination now! We tried Top Sail and Ocean City, Maryland but we like this locale the best.

Nice views, clean, comfortable, quiet beach

We had a great stay at this newly renovated condo with very nice views of the ocean across the dunes. The condo was clean, beds were comfortable, and the deck was roomy enough to enjoy several meals while gazing at the ocean. Our group (3 adults and an 11 year old) enjoyed the quiet beach, the 3 pools, the tennis and sports courts (you can check out sports accessories at the community center) and the rental bikes. We also enjoyed the short beach walk to the bird sanctuary area and the rookeries where we saw alligators, egrets, herons, and ibises in their natural habitat. We were concerned that the damage from Matthew would impact our vacation, and while you can still see some damage in and around the subdivision, this condo is in great shape, the beach is nice, and the subdivision amenities are up and running.

Three notes: 1) Historic Beaufort is a short drive with cute shops, yummy restaurants, and a nice waterfront park, 2) The drive-in movie theater in Beaufort was a fun and nostalgic night out, and 3) Most of nearby Hunting Island Park including the lighthouse was closed due to storm damage during our stay.

We will try again

Our trip was planned for the weekend that Hurricane Matthew descended upon the East Coast. We had to cancel with no trip insurance purchased. The owner was very kind in letting us re-book for this upcoming weekend instead of losing our money. We have had to forgo our trip due to work being done on the unit and surrounding units, but instead of losing our money, the owner has very kindly reimbursed our money!! The owner did not want us to come this weekend and have a less than favorable visit, and was gracious in that advice. We will definitely try to plan a trip to stay at this place in the Spring!!

Great unit

Nice unit to stay. Great views from the deck. Enjoyed lots of walks on the beach & around the neighborhood looking at the houses. Also make sure you visit Hunting Island. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely quiet condo with great view

This is our first stay in this location and it was great. The condo was clean, neighbors quiet, and surrounding area with plenty to do. We are at a couple of the local restaurants and food was great. I would describe the condo/neighborhood as very clean and quiet. If your looking for a place to enjoy the beach, read a book, ride a bike then this is your place. Only 2 nit picky downsides: coffeemaker was clunky & security was a bit tighter than I expected. Neither truly a bad thing😀. We would recommend condo to friends and look at staying here again.

A great escape!

This was the 3rd time my wife and I have stayed at this condo.

The unit is well cared for and very comfortable. The condos in the "D" building face the ocean, beach., and sunrise.This condo is in the "D" building.

Another feature worth noting is the 2 bedroom condos start on the 2nd floor and the bedrooms are on the 3rd floor. The master bedroom has windows facing the ocean. The living room sliders open to a private deck on the 2nd floor and provide a nice view of the ocean. I enjoyed the sunrise every morning from the deck while we were there. Staying on a private island with security at the entrance helps you relax and enjoy your vacation. One of the main attractions that my wife and I enjoy is the beach and the island wildlife. There is a bird nesting site at the end of the beach and plenty of different birds to observe.

This is not Myrtle Beach party-land.This is an island to relax and enjoy the surroundings. There was very seldom more than a dozen people on the beach.

The condo is very comfortable, clean, and well stocked. We have always enjoyed our stay here. Katie (the owner)has always been gracious and very easy to work with.

We have always enjoyed our vacations here in the Low Country. Just thinking about vacation helps us get through the cold winters in Massachusetts.

I highly recommend staying here.
