Thank you for providing such a beautiful atmosphere. We so enjoyed our weekend here with your beautiful home and backyard setting, grills, and pizza oven.
We stayed for 2 nights with another couple. The location of the house is fantastic, about equal distance to Solvang and Los Olivos (<10 mins). The layout of the house is a bit awkward as there is a door that connects the 2 bedrooms and I don’t think there is a lock. The bathroom is sort of a jack-and-jill but the second door connects to the pantry. It’s very strange and waking up early or in the middle of the night, we were walking into each other’s bedrooms instead of the bathroom or out the room because there are so many doors that all connect to each other. Also one of the 2 doors to the bathroom didn’t have a lock which made sharing the bathroom a bit uneasy. The pizza oven was a lot of fun. Unfortunately we didn’t realize that all of the supplied fire wood was stacked BEHIND the oven and we didn’t see it until the morning when we were checking out. Our pizzas didn’t really come out because we couldn’t get it hot enough. They leave detailed instructions on how to use it, but not about the location of the wood. The house is very well stocked and we weren’t missing anything – olive oil, salt, pepper, flour, corn meal, coffee, tea, etc. They have a pitcher water filter in the fridge too. The day you check in, make sure you swing by the amazing Finley Farms Farmstand (1702 Refugio Rd) to stock up on organic fruit and veggies!! They are AMAZING!!
I just stayed here with my sister for a weekend of wine tasting and hiking. The cottage is well situated as it it is right next to Lincourt vineyard. the back patio with gas grill is nice as well. My only complaint is that the description of amenities above says it has a TV with cable. While it has a very old TV with VCR and DVD as part of the TV, it was not hooked up to cable or satellite TV. while sometimes that's not a big deal, it was just my sister and myself and we wanted to relax and watch some TV/movies in the evening. when i called the management company, they did respond quickly, but said there was not cable at this property. I presumed I had recalled it wrong, but in reading above, apparently not. While there was a DVD player and we rented some DVD's, it was so old, it was incapable of getting through a DVD without major issues. Usally had to skip some scenes. Like I said, other than the false advertising on the TV/cable, the place was fine.
