Located in Chelsea's sought after Gallery District, in an owner-occupied townhouse, this mint studio has everything.
Overlooking park-like backyards it is very quiet while being centrally located in the middle of Manhattan.
The Empire State building, Madison Square Garden, Times Square and Javits Center are within walking distance, so are the Chelsea piers, Manhattan's biggest sports complex and the Meat Packing District, New York's ultra-hot nightlife/fashion/restaurant neighborhood. New York City's newest attraction the elevated Highline Park is only steps away.
The apartment is equipped with high definition satellite TV, sound system with i-pod dock and free wi-fi access. The kitchen, like everything else, is brand new is brand new with stainless steel appliances. It is perfect for a couple or single traveler. The central location combined with the privacy and quiet make this apartment very special.
I have never been one to write a review for vacation accommodation, but after spending just under a week at Michael & Catherine’s lovely Chelsea studio I felt strongly compelled to share my thoughts of my experience. It was the first time to New York for my girlfriend and I as a couple (we had both been several times on our own) so had already done the so called touristy things, this time we wanted to experience living like real New Yorkers. The amazing location of the studio certainly did help with this; we were in walking distance to everything we wanted to. Close to great restaurants and café’s.
The room itself was very tastefully decorated and was extremely clean on arrival. The view from the studio was quite special, it was just of a little garden but I thought that was quite special and unique for downtown Manhattan. The bed was very comfortable and was just perfect after the long hours we spent on our feet discovering Manhattan again.
Both my fiancé and I (I proposed at the end of our trip) would come back in a heartbeat and have not stopped praising the place to friends and family.
This is the perfect studio with everything my wife and I needed for our stay in New York. The apartment is wonderfully located in Chelsea only 1 block from the Highline and 2 blocks from the subway, it is clean, fresh and quiet. Michael is an outstanding, friendly host who's list of small bars, cafes, restaurants, jazz clubs, galleries and NYC sights will keep you experiencing NYC at its best. Michael was very flexibility with our booking when our departure was delayed 3 days due to the snowstorm. We'll be back again and will recommend this apartment to friends.
I am delighted to know about this lovely studio apartment in Chelsea. The interior is impeccably clean, tastefully and comfortably furnished, with a newly renovated bathroom. I drove to NYC, and Michael generously made advanced arrangements at the closest garage, where I parked my car. This was particularly appreciated as I arrived after a massive snow storm, when parking is hard to find in Manhattan. The apartment is a block from the C and E lines, so it is easy to go uptown to theaters. There is a large Whole Foods 2 blocks away, and it is in the heart of a great gallery district. I hope to stay here again.
The apt was exactly what we had in mind. Very clean, had everything we needed. Perfect location for Westminster Dog Show weekend! Will for sure be back.
We spent 2 1/2 weeks at Micheal's apartments in January 2017 and really enjoyed the experience. It was quiet from the street noise and about 40 feet from a rec facility that I used 3 or 4 times for exercise. We hope to use one of his studio's again as it is a 6 minute walk to our new grandson's location.
The apartment was wonderful! Michael was a very gracious host. He met us upon our arrival with the keys and showed us around. The apartment was cozy, clean and had a well equipped kitchen (there were even home made Christmas cookies in the fridge)! It faced the street but was quiet. Michael provided a list of restaurants in the area. We tried Trestle around the corner on 10th for breakfast. We liked it so much we returned our last day there! Would also recommend Chop Shop for dining in or take out. Great neighborhood, lots to do within walking distance. We've been to NYC many times and have always stayed in hotels. Staying in the apartment was a much more relaxing experience! We will definitely rent this apartment again!
