We love the Big Island. It has the charm of old Hawaii and we love that it has not been over commercialized as of yet.
It's a newer place and we really enjoyed decorating our unit to reflect you were staying somewhere special. It's nice to visit the pool area and get an Umbrella Hawaii Fruity drink at pool side. How many condo units can boast that? We liked that's it's the newest development in the Kona area and short drive to shopping, sights and beaches.
My husband and I spent ten days in this condo, and our daughters, 22 and 25 joined us for five days. The condo is very well equipped, including beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, and snorkeling gear. The location is fantastic, with beautiful views of the ocean, and the sunsets. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai, and having barbecues with our own personal barbecue. Situated next to the Hilton Hotel, and on the Pacific coast trail, we had endless long walks along the coastal trail, through the Hilton and Marriott resorts, and further down the coast. The pool, bar area, and gym are on the ocean with magnificent views. It is an easy, and beautiful walk to the village which has all the shops and restaurants you may want. I highly recommend this condo, we had the most wonderful ten days here, and would definitely stay there again.
The condo was stunning! It was very well equipped with everything you might need, plus more. Snorkelling gear, beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, coolers, to mention some of the outdoor gear.
We barbecued on the lanai regularly. It has a wonderful view of the ocean, sunsets, and the golfcourse. The location is fantastic, and we loved the coastal trail which is accessible from right from the condo. We had the most wonderful vacation, and I would highly recommend staying at this condo.
We stayed here for just over a week with two 18 year-olds, and it couldn't have been a better home base for exploring the Big Island. It was fairly close to the airport, so taking a day trip to Pearl Harbor was easy. All the golf courses in the area are immaculate, and we had trouble narrowing our list of which ones to play. Don't miss taking one of the Manta Ray snorkels, and we did a morning snorkel as well. Add parasailing and hiking around Volcanos National Park, ATV'ing in Waipi'o Valley, and you've pretty much covered our trip! We usually breakfasted outside on the lanai, overlooking the ocean. Our host provided coolers, towels and boogie boards to take on our explorations, and we would return to a complex each evening, walking down to the dolphins, swimming at the gorgeous pool, playing putt-putt, or simply watching the sunset.
Couldn't have been any better.
We stayed here for a week with our two kids, 7 and 11. We absolutely loved everything about our trip, including the condo unit itself, the Hali'i Kai complex and the Waikoloa Resort area. There are many options for fun activities, both around Waikoloa or a little further afield, so Hali'i is a perfect home base. As other reviewers have mentioned, Nicole has set up her unit with everything you could ever need, including lots of great stuff for the beach. Having rented from other owner-direct type services in the past, we were especially pleased to walk in and see that the unit matched the posted pictures exactly (not always the case we have found). Being on the ground floor was really nice, I think we ate every dinner on the lanai and watched the kids enjoy playing all around the grassy areas out back. Being such a close walk from the pool was really nice as well.
We loved the ocean club and pool, and found ourselves enjoying time down there everyday, even on days we took a day trip to other parts of the island. We found the restaurant food to be quite good, although rather pricey...but everything in Hawaii seems to be a bit more expensive so we didn't worry about it. The service was great, and the happy hour Mai Thais were especially good!
Nicole was really good to work with, and I can only say great things about our overall experience on the Big Island. We are already looking at dates to go back next year, and if we do we will book this unit without hesitation. Aloha!
My husband, my 2 aunts (92 and 88 years old) had a wonderful time in your condo. It is beautifully decorated and has everything you could want or need and more to enjoy your vacation. Justine was very attentive and helpful. We enjoyed dinner by the pool 2 nights and watched beautiful sunsets. If we return to the Big Island (and I hope to do so), I would definitely want to stay in your condo again.
Our family enjoyed the Hali'i Kai Resort and particularly this unit. The owners have considered all possible needs, from laundry to coffeemakers, coolers, and beach towels. We have young children and the ground floor unit was perfect; it made for easy outdoor access without the worries of stairs. The pool was a short walk away and the staff friendly and helpful. The stunning 7th hole of the golf course was literally right outside our door and we enjoyed the view and the golf course as a whole. The condo was comfortable and we absolutely would stay here again.
The pool/hot tub is a 3 minute walk from unit. There is a poolside restaurant/bar for your convenience. If getting in your cardio is important then check out the ocean view outdoor covered workout area! Play a game of Tennis or have some fun playing on the basketball court. Hammocks are on the property--a nice way to get some R & R.
