About The Owner

My wife and I, along with our four kids, live outside of Pittsburgh. It's a great place to live if you like professional sports, hunting, fishing, music and theatre.

The Owner purchased this house in 2003

Why The Owner chose Florida

After vacationing in Captiva many times we realized there weren't many places that had as much to offer. It's as much activity as you want, or as little. You can be gone all day shopping, shelling, fishing or visiting other islands on the local cruise boat. Or you can just sit on the beach, relax and watch the beautiful sunsets as you sip margaritas from the Mucky Duck.

What makes this house unique

The house is right in the middle of all the action on the best street in the village. You can walk to everything within minutes. We have arrived at the house, parked the car and not used it again for days! It's so nice when even a large family can all go to lunch without having to jam in the car. Once back inside the house the quiet serene and peaceful nature of it's design will make you feel like you're the only ones on the island!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Kevin,

We have just returned to Lansing after a fabulous time on Captiva Island.

Your home was the perfect fit for our family. It was in the BEST location,

offered everything we needed and more and provided ample space for our

extended family. The furnishings and condition of your home offered us a

luxurious stay. The grandkids especially loved the pool and seemed to be in

it most of the day. The game room was well used and the ping pong contest

champions enjoyed their victory and now hold bragging rights until the next

family gathering. We could not have had a better time! Your home was ideal.

Thanks again, Mary

Awesome week with family and friends in a magnificent hom

  • 5 of 5

The Bella Bellini is amazing!!!! If I could give this property higher than a 5 star rating I would. This property has everything you need. The linens beach towels bath towels starter set of the essentials (that actually got us half way thru the week) beach chairs umbrellas floaties beach toys beach cart and the list goes on and on. We had a group of 16 family and friends (14 adults and 2 kids) that spent a week at this wonderful place. There was plenty of room for all of us to have our own space and common areas for us to spend fun times together. The pictures are exactly what you get when you arrive. The beach is a short walk up a quant street that has a couple restaurants, general store, yolo ( place to rent all kind of things-bikes, golf carts, paddle boards etc) and our groups "favorite place" the ice cream shop. The bay is a short walk to watch the sunrise and is home of captiva cruises. The sunsets are something to see at the beach. People gather outside the Mucky duck to watch this breath taking moment each and every night which is just at the end of Andy Rosse lane. Last but definitely not least I can't say enough about the property manager Sheri. She was a joy to work with. She answered any questions I had very promptly both while we were there and prior to our arrival. She made sure everything was perfect for our stay even going above and beyond to extend our checkout since we had later flights home. I have dealt with many other property managers and Sheri is by far the best one I have ever dealt with. Hopefully our group will get the chance to come back to captiva and when we do this is where we will be be staying!!

Wonderful Week at Bella Bellini.

  • 5 of 5

What a joy to find a property "better than advertised"

A wonderful week made better by great accommodations.

Can't think of anything that we could add to the facility.

Sherri, the property manager, anticipated our every need!

Beautiful property in lovely Captiva

  • 5 of 5

We had 15 family members over the course of the week visit us and stay with us at Bella Bellini and all were perfectly accommodated for at this clean and spacious house. The age range of our guests were 1 year old to 85 years old all had no problem settling in with the help of an elevator, a crib, pack and plays, and baby gates. The pool and spa were perfect for the children and the house was well stocked with everything we needed to feel like we were at home (beach chairs, towels, kitchen items, etc). The owners were very responsive and helpful when I had any questions or concerns but really there was not much to discuss with them because we had no real issues. The house is perfectly positioned in the center of town with just a short walk to the beach and to all the restaurants and general store. I never went more than 500 yards from the house the whole week I was there! Thank you Bella Bellini for making our family vacation absolutely fabulous!

Owner's Response: I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed everything! Thank you so very much for taking such good care of the house too! I want to clarify that I manage the property. The gentleman you mailed payment to is the owner and he is terrific to work for. He is the one who gives me the freedom to treat the house as my own and encourages me to upgrade whenever and wherever it makes sense. That freedom is what creates such a great experience for our guests. Please come back and see us again!! Sheri King

Fun in Captiva

  • 5 of 5

My extended family of 10 had a blast. The accommodations were perfect. We had plenty of common space to pull together and yet we still had plenty of privacy too. Great place for family reunions. We will be back!

Amazing Captiva

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing vacation on Captiva. The house was exactly as described, very spacious and clean. We didn't actually have any contact at all with the property managers as we didn't really need anything and managed to work things out ourselves, but I assume they were around somewhere if we'd had a problem. We hardly used the pool as the beach is so beautiful and a short stroll away. The deck chairs/umbrellas and beach cart were extremely useful. We had a great time playing table tennis. There are plenty of places to eat nearby and the deli is great. Sunset at the Mucky Duck is a great event and we took some amazing sunset photos. The Sanibel Thriller is definitely worth doing, we had so many dolphin leaping around it was incredible. We rented bikes for the whole two weeks and really enjoyed being able to cycle around. We even cycled down to Ding Darling and back and one keen person cycled to the Sanibel Causeway and back, its a great place for cycling (despite the dire warnings from the tourist office about cycling on Captiva being dangerous.......for people who cycle to work daily in London, trust me, its safe on Captiva!). Don't miss seeing the manatees at the harbour. My only recommendations would be for some grown up games in the cupboard, there was mostly stuff for children and we were a party of 12 adults, we could have done with Scrabble or something, and also a few more instructions with regard to music system and swimming pool, there wasn't any additional info/instructions in the house. We will definitely come back to Captiva one day and you can't get a better location than Bella Bellini.

We had a large group (12) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The only "down" side was the pool is a little small for large groups. But it was clean and we enjoyed it. The listing pictures are accurate. We are planning to stay there again in 2015.
