Short walk to center. Spacious. Church bells ringing across the street was really neat. Around the corner was a nice downtown with everything you need

Spacious apartment in a convenient location

  • 5 of 5

This is a well-equipped apartment in all respects, spacious and light, in good condition and very clean. We received a warm welcome from Alina, who was tremendously helpful, and there's a very useful information booklet, and plentiful maps. Numerous shops nearby for provisions, and it's a quiet neighbourhood; the church clock stops chiming at 10 pm!

It's around 8 minutes walk to Landstrasse underground/train station, and a 25 minute walk to the State Opera (via the delightful Stadtpark), though taking the tram/underground into the centre is of course an option. The airport train also arrives at Landstrasse.

Great apartment. Would definitely stay there again!

Good stay

  • 5 of 5

Neat flat in the centre of town with good links on the tram and walking distance to the U-bahn. Nice area with small supermarkets, a bakers and other basics nearby. Didn't eat in any restaurants in the vicinity but had a take away pizza one night from the local Italian place and that was pretty good.

Check in was well handled, the flat very clean and overall was a good stay.

Vienna itself was great to visit for the Christmas markets and would recommend.

Wonderful apartment in the heart of Vienna

  • 5 of 5

Our 5 day experience in Vienna was amazing. The apartment was well furnished and in a great location, close to the citybikes and #1 Tram and only a short walk to the U-Bahn. We were greeted promptly by Christian when we arrived and provided all the information we would need for our stay. Try the Garage 01 bistro near the apartment for a nice date night!

Lovely apartment, walk to great restaurants

  • 4 of 5

My family of four stayed at this apartment for 5 nights in June 2016. It was delightful. We were greeted by a member of the Vienna-Calling staff, and given instructions about the house, as well as directions to everything on the map. My husband and I shared a generously sized room, with plenty of closet space. Our sons shared the other room. The kitchen had all we needed for a comfortable stay. In the evenings, we walked to Garage01 or Wild for dinner. A small grocery store was near-by, too. My husband did laundry just about everyday; and they provided soap and a drying rack. There was olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, and enough pots and pans to satisfy us.

There are two reasons that I'm not giving five stars, and they have to do with the location, not the apartment itself. We were about 10 minutes away from the nearest u-bahn station. In the rain, or after a long day of sightseeing, that was a long walk. (There is a strassen-bahn stop close by, but we didn't have a map for that....if you are comfortable with the strassen-bahn, then the place is 4.5 stars.) The other thing that didn't make it perfect was the noise level outside. There is another building right across the street, so the sound really echos off the buildings, and is quite magnified. We sleep with the windows open, but even when closed, it was pretty loud. We travel with earplugs, so overall, we were OK. There is also a lovely church across the street...the bells start at 7:00am, and they are rolicking. So if you like to sleep in (we do not), then you might consider that, too.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is really lovely.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review we are happy that you enjoyed the apartment! It is a pity that you didn't take the tram when it rained as it is very comfortable and stops only 1 minute from the apartment. It is only 3 stations to the very center with line No. 1 or 3 stations with Line No. O to the metro station you mentioned. We did actually give you a map of the public transport system and also tried to explain how to get to and from the apartment easily. There is also a map of the center with the public transport connections on the entrance door - We are sorry it still was not clear enough :-/ If it is not raining it is just a 15 minute walk to all the sights in the center. And if you enjoy cycling there is a station for free city bikes next to the building. It is the first time that one of our guests said it is noisy in the apartment. Actually we feel it is the opposite - and that's also what we hear from most of our guests. As it is a quiet one-way street next to a park it is exceptionally quiet for a big city like Vienna! Anyway, we are happy you enjoyed your stay and loved the apartment and its surroundings and we'd be happy to welcome you again in Vienna. Florian & Nina
