Nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains, Idlyllwild is a beautiful and peaceful arts community with charm, boutiques, art galleries, great restaurants, and local hiking and it's only 2 hours from San Diego, Orange County or Los Angeles. The Pine Cone Cabin is a truly elegant rustic experience. With Aspen log furniture, 2 fireplaces (1 in the dining room & 1 in a bedroom, large 20' x 17' master bedroom, 2nd bedroom with sitting area, Jacuzzi jet bathtub & separate over-sized shower in (2) 10' x 10' bathrooms, deck with view of hillside pine trees and side area for BBQ-ing & dining. Lots of windows to view the beautiful outdoors & pine trees. You can have a very romantic experience or just lay back and enjoy a few days of relaxation. The cabin is on the private side of Idyllwild (neighbors are a distance) yet the cabin is only 1/3 mile from the main street of town.

I also theme decorate for holidays& special occasions to make it more fun and interesting!

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was my Christmas present to my boyfriend. He wanted a relaxing, peaceful getaway and this was perfect. I loved it too as this place is so lovely and perfectly decorated for an nice chic rustic experience. We BBQ'd, lounged on the deck, watched humingbirds gather around their feeder early in the mornings, and just enjoyed ourselves.

Pure Serenity in an Idyllic Cabin

  • 5 of 5

I visited the cabin in the hopes of restoring my sanity from the stresses and tribulations of everyday life in the big city. As soon as I walked through the door, I felt right at home. The cabin was thoroughly charming and way exceeded my expectations.

The cabin sits on a quiet street among beautiful pine trees and to boot, it is a hop, skip and jump from the quaint and charming town of Idyllwild. I took several easy walks to town enjoying nature while getting some easy excercise.

The interior was amazing, beautifully decorated and very clean. The carpet, a soft green, was a delight to the eyes. The theme was definitely a "mountain forest cabin", which is what we, as vacationers, would want. I wanted to be transported to another environment, different from the usual city "stuff". Yet, the cabin was thoroughly comfortable with all the amenities one would expect. The beds were aspen log beds, the awesome dining room table was also log furniture, the living room has a big comfortable couch to stretch out on. The themed decor was very detailed down to the lampshades.

The extra highlight for me was the Jacuzzi tub where I relaxed and took in the forest beauty from the large panoramic windows. The spacious deck was comfortable and inviting where I watched and was delighted by the squirrels leaping from branch to branch and the hummingbirds partaking of the nectar from the overhanging feeders.

All in all it was an extremely delightful experience. I highly recommend this cabin.

Charming, quirky cabin in the pines

  • 5 of 5

Susan was extremely accommodating, going as far as to decorate the cabin for my birthday weekend stay! We thoroughly enjoyed the charm of the cabin. Thank you, Susan, for making our stay so comfortable.

Charming cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay. The cabin is close to town, quiet, and has a beautiful back deck for enjoying a morning coffee. Susan was great and decorated beautifully for our occasion.

The place is probably best for a couple, as the bathroom is through the master bedroom, but worked fine for us with 3 adults and a baby.

We had a wonderful time. The cabin is lovely, clean, secluded. We especially enjoyed eating meals on the deck overlooking nature & lots of pine trees. The owner went overboard to ensure we had a great experience! We look forward to coming back.

Cozy, storybook cabin

  • 5 of 5

This is a real storybook place, loaded with nice details (both construction and decor). The cabin has a ton of charm, but very well equipped and comfortable as well. We were really lucky, and it snowed, and the heat and fireplace kept us very warm and cozy. When my wife and kid walked in, they immediately loved it. The tub and shower are clean and spacious. The tub is surrounded with views of the surrounding woods, while the shower has great pressure and hot water. The kitchen has everything you need. I believe we were about a 4 minute drive from town, but you feel like you are at an escape - very peaceful, quiet and beautiful. I would say the cabin has a very warm, rustic vibe, but with all the comforts of home. The bed, and all the furniture, for that matter, were very comfortable. Can't say enough good things. We will be back. Love the town too, and you are very close to all the things it has to offer.
