The house was fully hollowed out in 2013, and was finally completely finished in October 2014.
It contains two bedrooms and one bathroom in the upper floor, as well as a living room with a pull-out sofa, bathroom, kitchen and dining area on the ground floor.
All bedrooms and the living room are fitted with flat screen TVs. In the living room, there is also a DVD player and a selection of DVDs.
The bedrooms on the upper level have separate entrances.
The house has central air-conditioning, which can be regulated separately for the upper or ground level.
Enjoy the view of the Banana River from your breakfast table, where dolphins pass by or schools of fish crowd around, often at a distance of just 10 metres. The single dock is a great fishing spot in one of Florida's premier angling regions.
Just 150 metres in the other direction, you will reach the extensive Cocoa Beach, which is ideal for long walks or surfing.
From here, it is just a hop, skip, and a jump to Orlando to the Disney theme park, about 45 minutes away.
Right in front of your door, there are further attractions such as, for example, the Ron Jon Surf Shop (the largest surf shop in the world), the cruise ship harbour at Cape Canaveral, the Kennedy Space Center and the Cocoa Beach Pier, to name a few.
Daytona Beach is also just an hour away, where America's largest biker gathering happens every year in March.
Beautiful, easy access, nice river front, excellent paddle boarding place , quiet , the beach about one block away , very clean house and everything close. WE LOVE IT.
We loved this place! It was a great location! We loved having the river behind us to watch the sunset and dolphins. It was so convenient to the beach, which was very quiet. If you are OK with having a separate entrance upstairs for the bedrooms this is a great place! We will definitely stay here again. They even had beach chairs, umbrella and cooler.
The property is in an excellent location and views are incredible. We often stay in houses or condos because we really like to be able to have space and a kitchen. The house is the best stocked house we have ever stayed in terms of kitchen supplies, outdoor furniture, paddleboards, and general necessities. The owners really have thought of the guests staying and what they would need, you can tell they really want to have everything already at house. It was a very welcome surprise to have so much thought out. We didn't mind having the stairs on outside of house, it was nice to be able to come downstairs and not disturb those still sleeping. It was incredible to watch the sunset and all the wildlife in river. I had coffee each morning outside and saw dolphins and many different birds. It's a very short walk to beach, so I would watch sunrise on beach and then sunset on the river. Exquisite!
The owners were easy to work with and very responsive when I had questions.
The only negative and if it wasn't a safety issue, I would not even mention but the stairs are in need of repair. Several loose boards and split boards, we made sure to wear shoes when using because we did not want splinters. I know that Hurricane Matthew did a lot of damage to area and it is probably causing long wait time for repairs, but they need to be fixed.
Even with the stairs, I would recommend the property with the caveat, be careful of loose boards and wear shoes on stairs. If the stairs had been in better condition, I would have given property 5 stars.
We arrived late after attending the Daytona 500. The house was easy to find and it was easy to get in the house and settled. The beds were comfortable and it was wonderful to spend the morning watching the peaceful river before heading out on the next leg of our journey. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful home - we hope to come back when we can spend more time!
Will look forward to a return visit to your vacation home. Nice area, time, and your home provided all that we needed. Thank you.
The home was very clean and in a perfect spot to watch sunsets. The split level wasn't an issue for us (family of four, two kids ages 5 and 3). Kitchen was well stocked with anything you'd need. Only issue was the dock was not at all like it was represented. I read it was destroyed and rebuilt, but expected it to look like the picture. Instead it is just a floating dock with a steep ramp, which is VERY slippery in the morning (both myself and kids fell). We saw dolphins, sting rays, manatees and lots of fish! Gorgeous sunsets! We would definitely stay here again!
The beach house is right on the Banana River and contains a dock that can be used for fishing, paddleboarding, canoe or boat trips. On the other side of the house, the extensive Atlantic Beach is just 150 metres away.
