'Wine Country Lodges’ history in Sonoma County started with its founder, Lisa Neisingh. Lisa was raised in Sonoma County, where she enjoyed vacations with her family at their riverfront cabin on Healdsburg’s Fitch Mountain and where she learned to swim with her cousins in the Russian River. Wanting to continue to share similar getaway experiences for additional families and friends, she bought Northwoods in 2007, as Wine Country Lodges’ fourth riverfront vacation home. With Northwoods she wanted to convey a relaxing, back-to-nature environment, she chose upscale, rustic, and charming antique 'Northwoods' style furnishings to make guests feel welcomed and relaxed. The home and its accommodations provide the perfect atmosphere for those wanting to create special vacation memories while bonding with family and friends in a relaxingly, peaceful and unspoiled riverfront setting. Wine Country Lodges continues in the tradition of welcoming guests and is now owned and managed by Lisa’s children Jared B Pickrell and Jill Jensen. Our family enjoys filling these wonderful riverfront homes with comfortable furnishings, relaxing amenities, and providing an array of adventurous and leisurely activities for our guests to enjoy.
We Look Forward to Welcoming You to Healdsburg’s Riverfront Wine Country.
'Lisa acquired Northwoods as a fourth riverfront home addition to Wine Country Lodges. Northwoods has an ideal riverfront location and is just four doors away from our first vacation home, Firefly, providing excellent close accommodations for many groups desiring adjacent accommodations.

What a great house with a great view. Everything was fabulous. Very clean. Very Beautiful. Fully stocked with everything you need. I would definitely come back and spend more time.
River Run was a wonderful weekend getaway for our family. Even with the rain, we thoroughly enjoyed the river views, jacuzzi and overall loveliness of the home. It was serene and comfortable. Thank you for sharing your lovely paradise with us. The property is very clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable.
The place was easy, spacious and scenic. Accessing the water was a little tricky as it was a rainy weekend and river was high- otherwise no complaints on this rental! Note, there is no washer/dryer.
We had a great experience at the River Lodge. The home was incredibly clean and felt very welcoming as a vacation rental- they had games for our kids to play with, very little clutter, and everything we needed in the kitchen. The space was very enjoyable; we had friends over for drinks on the deck while the kids sat in the hot tub. The river was high and moving so we did not use the kayaks, but we did use the fishing poles. The beds were incredibly comfortable. There were only a few small things that came up as we got to know the house and area (ants, hide-a-bed issues, and hot tub noises- but we easily called the property manager and she helped us). We had a great time and hope to return!
We walked into a glowing living room with Christmas music and lovely lighting and a warm fire. Although a little small in the living room, there was still enough sitting for the 7 of us and truly made us ignore the TV and visit. The large kitchen table was perfect for dinner and games. The spread out rooms were comfortable for every one, especially the upstairs Master bedroom that looks over the river! Although it rained most of our visit, we did manage to enjoy the hot tub in the mornings while listening to the birds and enjoying the river. We can't wait to come back and make use out of the expansive deck and also the deck down below even closer to the water! It felt like the perfect cozy cabin getaway in the wine country!
This house was a beautiful, relaxing home! It is perfect for a weekend getaway with a group of your favorite friends! The backyard view was a great added plus to the overall experience we all had! The town, full of restaurants, tasting rooms, and shops is very close to the home so that made everything easy! I would defiantly recommend this property to families, friends for a relaxing getaway in the woods!
