The S.S. Minnow's "beach" charm, colorful and comfortable furnishings and private pool will satisfy each member of the family. Carpeted bedrooms, tile softened by area rugs downstairs and generous balconies with wonderful gulf views are just what the doctor ordered for a soothing vacation. The perfect vacation rental on a large private wooded lot close to the beach. 4 min walk to the beach, south side "Beach side" of 30-A. It's part of The Beaches of South Walton, within walking distance of Goatfeathers Restaurant, and a short drive to Destin or Seaside. Gilligan recommends it, and so do we!

First Floor:(up one stairway): Living Room (with sleeper sofa), Dining Room (Table sits 8), New Kitchen with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops; Queen bedroom, full hall bath, Gulf-facing balcony.

Second Floor: #2 Bedroom with Queen, Twin bunks, Full Size Crib, full bath; King master bedroom with full bath and Gulf-facing balcony and two closets.

Private Pool 26 x 13

Pool can be heated during winter and spring for an additional $30 per day.

BIKES: The quote you will receive includes 1 beach cruiser per bedroom.

Great place to stay! Super close to the beach

It was just as described. I stayed with my family for spring break. First week of April. Althought it was still not too hot out, it was nice for the beach. We paid extra to get our pool heated and it was definitely worth it. The bikes were perfect to ride to the beach or the stores near by. There is a restaurant walking distance and it was one of the best places to eat. Plus they have a daily special. Overall great stay!! If you decide to go during warmer weather i highly recommend going to crab island. It is absolutly beautiful and great for families too.

Great Beach House

This home was wonderful if you're looking for that beach vacation. House was large enough for our big family and was super close to the beach (about two blocks). The beach is gorgeous! Super soft sand and clean! The area of Santa Rosa Beach is lovely. It's not the typical touristy mess as other nearby areas. We went over spring break, and were surrounded by mostly families not the notorious spring break crowd of crazy kids. The home has been recently updated and is modern with a fresh beachy feel to it. We loved sitting on the top balcony where we "technically" had an ocean view albeit tiny ocean view. The pool was great when heated, and we appreciated the somewhat private lot. The maintenance staff was very responsive to the couple of concerns we had and did well to fix the couple of issues as soon as possible. The only negatives is that the house is not very well stocked compared to other homes we have rented in the past. There are no beach supplies whatsoever, not even a beach towel. There are no pool toys/floats of any kind. No cookie sheet for the kitchen which dashed our hopes of making biscuits for breakfast. There are salt/pepper shakers, but they are both completely empty. No crib sheet for the crib that was in the bedroom. This all wasn't a huge deal for us because there is a Walmart nearby where we could buy this stuff, but it may pose a problem for someone flying in and then being stuck with all this stuff they had to buy. There were many extra pillows in closets; however, there are no extra pillowcases for these extra pillows. The house is currently for sale, which may be why there are such sparse supplies. Overall, we loved the house. We would definitely stay here again, but we would pay better attention to what we should bring for supplies next time and not go by past experiences of renting vacation homes.

Great location

Aside from internet issues, septic tank smell/issues, home was not vacuumed, pool area not to clean. I commend Dune Rental, when the problems happened they were quick to respond! We loved the home, the location, the beach and the sunrises and sunsets are amazing(even from our balcony! )We will definitely be back, see you guys same time next year😍

Great house!

My family of six thoroughly enjoyed our mid-August stay at the S.S. Minnow. We arrived very late, and the whole house was lit up and welcoming, just waiting for us! The house was clean, the pool was wonderful, and it's just a short walk (or drive) to the beach. Going in mid-August gave us huge sections of private beach in the mornings. Good restaurants (Goatfeathers, Pecan Jack's, Don Pedro's) and shopping are nearby in this small, non-commercialized beach town. And if you're game for a little drive, you can do the commercial stuff at Destin or Panama City Beach, or enjoy the other small beach towns in between. It was a great, relaxing vacation.

Our family loves staying at SS Minnow!

The house is always clean and in great condition. Property management team texts us to make sure we have everything we need. The kids love the pool and it is just a short walk to the beach. We are already looking forward to next year's trip!

Great house and location was perfect.

House was perfect for the 5 of us. Location to beach was ideal and having our own pool to cool off in was terrific.

The only negative we found was that all three grills were not usable. The grates on all were filthy and looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in quite some time.
