About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-7)

Our hand-hewn log cabin makes for a very unique getaway. Built only recently, it is nestled in the hills on 2 acres with an abundance of tree cover. There are very few neighbors, none of which are visible from the property. It is very peaceful and there is no road noise to be heard...just nature!

The front of the home has two large covered decks which you can enjoy in all weather types. The smaller side deck is perfect for grilling and sunning. The landscaping is simple, yet aesthetically pleasing.

The inside is open and cozy. The master bedroom with its king bed is located on the main floor. The kitchen and the living room are adjoined and the living room's vaulted ceiling looks up to the open loft, which is a queen-sized bedroom. There is a finished basement which contains a game room/pool table and the second queen bedroom. The basement walks out to the lower deck and the hot tub. The interior is all wood and comfortably adorned with old-fashioned relics.

We also have a large fenced-in yard, so bring your dogs and enjoy this mountain sanctuary!

2nd time staying in this wonderful cabin

  • 5 of 5

Overall it was a very enjoyable experience staying in this cabin. It feels like a second home, everything you need is here. I recommend it to all my friends.

The only things I would change are having better outdoor lighting, having direct access to the fenced yard from the porch, and getting WiFi access. Other than that, it's perfect!

Great cabin for a family with a dog!

  • 5 of 5

My family of five and our dog stayed at this cabin for a week, and it was a wonderful experience. The cabin had plenty of room for us, and the fenced in yard was great for our dog. We all loved the hot tub and pool table. There is a bedroom and bathroom on each level which was nice. The location was also nice. It's not far from Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Also, the owner's are great to work with. Great communication and assistance with any questions. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for one that wants to be secluded from other people and just enjoy the nature around them. Simply sitting on the deck in the rocking chairs was fun and peaceful.

Just an FYI, after turning down the cabin's road, you will come to a fork in the road. Take the right side and pass the house with the dogs and chickens. The cabin is further down the road and up the steep hill. Watch out for the chickens at the house before the cabin. They get in the way sometimes and may wonder up to the cabin. Our dog didn't mind them, so it wasn't a big deal for us.

Great cabin and owners!!

Family Vacation

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was very nice and is in a very secluded area. Our family enjoyed the accommodations. It was a very reasonable price especially being able to bring our dogs. We really enjoyed the large windows in the living room which have a great view of the sky. The road to the cabin is pretty rough. A few thingsthat it could use are a few more pans, glasses, and towels. The owners are very quick to respond to questions via email.

Nice. Clean. Close to Gatlinburg

  • 4 of 5

*We were given the wrong address. Honest mistake, but we were tired and cranky from driving so it's a "con".

*Firepit is not near house at all & has tree branches hanging over it. Unusable.

*Only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom & 1/4 roll of paper towel at sink.

*Very clean

*Beautiful well-kept modern cabin with a "rugged" feel to it

*LOCATION! Almost a straight shot into Gatlinburg.

*Yard was large

*This is the woods... nature is everywhere. We had a snake on the porch but he left & wasn't seen again. Some mouse droppings on one of the dog sheets in the closet. A few ticks after dogs ran around yard. No biggie on these items... this is all totally expected in heavily wooded areas.

*Sprint has no internet connection at all. Verizon has slow internet connection. Calls can be made from cell phones. (This is not a con... we didn't want internet)

Beautiful, well kept cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week (June 11-17), with 6 adults and a 1 year old Labrador retriever. Out of all of us, there were absolutely no complaints! This cabin is so secluded, yet so close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! You could not see any neighbors in sight (even though there were a few near by), which is what we loved. The cabin has all of the main essentials. All we needed to do was grocery shop. Our dog had such a great time, too! And we loved that there is a fenced in yard, so we did not have to worry about her wandering. The yard is on a slope, so it was also great exercise and tired her out quickly when playing fetch! With 6 adults, the cabin was still roomy and accommodated everyone. I was a little nervous about staying in a cabin that allows pets due to knowing how much my girl sheds, but the cabin was SO clean! A vacuum cleaner is also provided, so I was thankful to be able to clean up behind our dog daily. Everything about this cabin is beautiful, from the scenery to the inside. We loved waking up in the morning, sitting outside on the rockers, drinking our coffee, and enjoying the mountain air. We have recommended this cabin to everyone that we know! For our next vacation to Tennessee, we will absolutely stay here again!
