This house is a tasteful modern transformation of the village’s historic pub, providing a spacious and luxurious holiday home. It has a sauna room & laundry on the lowest floor; a large lounge/dining area and well-equipped kitchen-diner in the middle floor; and, three good-sized double bedrooms on the top floor. The bedrooms open onto a balcony overlooking the beautiful garden and provide a great spot for watching the many swifts that dart over the village in summer. There are spotlessly clean toilets and showers on every floor and the tv/dvd/cd, kitchen & laundry appliances are all brand new and at least as good as anything we have in our own home. There is BBC World in English on the TV and the fast wi-fi meant our kids could watch streamed UK programmes on our laptop when they needed a fix! Our children loved the swimming pond and were in it every day - even when it was raining - and we enjoyed reading our books on the sun loungers on the deck beside it. Our kids also enjoyed the small play-park that is within sight of the house, complete with outdoor table-tennis table, and in the time we were there they were almost the only children who used it. The village is very pretty, quiet and a great location to walk out from, with good shops 10 minutes’ drive away in Buchen. Each evening we would walk the many paths through the woods and fields around the village, with our children picking cherries from the many fruit trees and catching grasshoppers, whilst we enjoyed the wild flowers and the gentle scenery. In the 2 weeks we stayed in Einbach we found plenty to do in the surrounding area, with excellent castles, wildlife parks, historic towns, caves and world-class museums along with the amazing salt mine in Bad Friedrichshall all less than an hour away on great roads. Further afield we visited the theme park at Tripsdrill (1 hour 15 minutes’ drive), Nuremberg (2 hours’ drive) and Stuttgart (1 hour 15 minutes’ drive) where we had a great day at the stunning Mercedes Museum and the amazing Wilhelma zoo/botanic gardens. The owners of the house, Hubert and Sonja, are perfect hosts providing help & advice on the house and local area whenever asked (Hubert speaks pretty good English), even asking for ideas as to how their property could be improved further – we genuinely couldn't think of anything. As you’ll gather we had a fantastic holiday and if we came back to this area in the future we would certainly stay here again. Hope you get the chance to enjoy it too!
Einbach is a manageable, rural-rural embossed village with 180 inhabitants on the edge of the Odenwald Geopark in Neckar-Odenwald, yet centrally between the metropolitan areas of Stuttgart / Heilbronn, Mannheim / Heidelberg, Würzburg and Frankfurt. It is one of 13 districts of the city houses in a charming landscape with an intact ecology, natural streams, forests and meadows, an INTERESTING wildlife. Several local, regional and national hiking and cycling trails lead through the village on the edge or strip it.
The house is in the village center with unobstructed view in the flood plain. This includes a 800-m² garden with patio for grilling and a 100 m² natural swimming pond with beach chairs on the boardwalk and lawns.
