We loved our visit in 2009 when our girls were much younger- returning was amazing- they were in awe of so muc. We saw a sting ray, caught a baby shark and saw fireworks all around and ate lots of seafood- what matters is having found such a special place. Thank you for a fantastic vacation! We continue to love Carrabelle, particularly this home and we are very grateful for the opportunity to create so many memories here. Incredible!

We love how quiet and peaceful it is here. The weather was beautiful, sunny almost every day in the 60's. We loved the bed and listening to the ocean at night! what a perfect vacation.
My husband wanted to stay in a non-touristy place in Florida and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. This was our first time visiting Carrabelle but certainly not the last. We loved the house and being right on the beach was perfect for the kids. Everyday we would discover something new and interesting as we strolled along the water.
After vacationing in Carrabelle for the last several years, I was so happy to find Tranquil Wind. The house was impeccably maintained and very clean. The sunrises as seen from the oversized deck were breathtaking. The white sandy beaches were an awesome spot to watch the dolphins. There is no doubt that we will return to Tranquil Wind many more times. It is a wonderful place to build memories with my husband and two son's.
Had the extreme pleasure of spending christmas at the cottage with my daughter and fiance.
Very clean, dacor beachy theme throughout, all you ever need is supplied for a homey feeling and the view is outstanding.
The area is a small town feeling and ever so welcoming. The beach at your back door is a wonderful bonus but you must visit neighboring beaches, it will take your breath away.
My family cant wait till we can return again to enjoy this wonderful cottage and all the wonders nature has to offer us.
First of all I want to give 5 stars to this house. We arrived on Saturday afternoon, had no problems checking in and the entire house is spotless. The master bedroom is on the ocean side so when you open your eyes in the morning you see the ocean. Because it was April we were able to keep the doors and windows open all day and night and hear and feel the ocean breeze. The house is PERFECT for a couple or maybe a family with kids. The second bedroom is on the road side of the house and there is pretty much road noise. I tried to sleep in there one night (my husband was not feeling well) and ended up having to sleep on the sofa because of the noise. However, on the master bedroom side you can barely hear any noise at all.
My only concern with this house is the location. If you are going for fishing (THIS IS YOUR PLACE)!!! However, if you are looking for the beautiful Gulf ocean this would not be my choice. We have never stayed in this part of Florida so really didn't know. The house is located or Port St. George Sound. The water there is brown. Also, this area of the beach is pretty deserted. If you want solitude you will get it - no complaints there. But the beach is also dirty (glass, tires, fishing nets, even a kitchen sink)... lots of debris and trash. That was extremely disappointing. If you have small children you would probably want to make the drive over the St. George Island and go to the state park over there. It costs $6.00 to get it but the beach is absolutely beautiful. Seemed a little silly since we were staying on the beach but I would not get in this water, let alone let my child.
I wish they owners could take this house and move it up the beach about an hour (towards Panama City) and out of the sound.... :(
As far as food - we ate out every night except one. The seafood in this area is excellent especially if you like oysters. I could go on and on about that! We made it a point to visit a LOT of the local hangouts and really met some cool people.
I would love to say I would rent this place again - but unfortunately I want a prettier beach and clear water. I was actually afraid to go barefoot on the beach because of the glass and other garbage. Sad that the town can't do a better job of cleaning this area.
We spent three nights during spring break at this wonderful beach home. The property manager was fantastic to work with - the booking and payment process was simple, as was the check-in/out process.
The house is even better than the pictures - we loved the floorplan and the beach décor. All of the important amenities were here, as well as nice touches like puzzles and books. We enjoyed grilling out on the deck - eating fresh seafood from nearby Eastpoint.
My husband and I stayed at this nice home over Spring Break. It was furnished very well and completely as advertised. The rental agent, SeaCrest Realty/Sandy Beach Properties were very professional and easy to work with. They covered all the details and the made the vacation just perfect.
