Space 6,000 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Sunroom, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Please call us at 719 640-2826 and we can discuss details of potentially renting our home. New in 2008, this 6000 square foot estate home is sited on three acres in the Colorado Rocky Mountain foothills, and has a 360 degree view from its many panorama windows. Raspberry Mountain, Mount Herman, and Elephant Rock are among the sights. Deer and foxes meander through the property's fields

and woods. The neighborhood is very quiet, and all the neighbors have custom houses on at least 2.5 acres.

The huge upstairs master suite has a gas fireplace, his and her sinks, walk in closet, and a two person jetted corner window tub. A recumbent bike is placed in the bedrooms turret, so one can overlook the eastern vistas while exercising. A second master is on the main level. There are two other spacious upstairs bedrooms.

Downstairs, oak floors cover the living room, formal dining, family room, eating area, and kitchen. The spacious family room, open to the kitchen and bay window breakfast area, has a raised stone wood burning fireplace. The living room features a vaulted ceiling with wooden beams and great mountain views out the huge windows. The formal dining room seats eight. The gourmet kitchen has slab granite counter tops and an island with all new stainless steel appliances, including two stoves. Most of the furniture is also new. It has a three car garage, large deck with a gas grill, and unfinished walkout basement.

Restaurants, grocery stores and shops are five minutes away, and the Air Force Academy is a 10 minute drive. Pike National Forest and Monument Preserve are within walking distance; both have many hiking, biking, and horse trails.

As our reviews demonstrate, there are many 'must-do' activities nearby, including visiting the U.S. Air Force Academy and Garden of the Gods (both free), and returning to the house after your day's activities should be very relaxing. If you like, give us a call at 719 640-2826 and we can discuss details.

Beautiful home is a wonderful setting!

  • 5 of 5

This was a prefect home for our family girls' weekend. David and Marie greeted us at the door and made their home fell like it was ours. The open floor plan could not have been better, so much space but yet we could all be together. One of our family members has hearing loss so we stay away from noisy restaurants and the kitchen had everything we needed to make great meals including the gas grill on the deck. The eating area was perfect for meals and game playing. The view from every window was spectacular. We especially enjoyed watching the deer grace in the yard in the early morning and at dusk. My 92 year old aunt was able to stay in the first floor master bedroom with walk in shower so she did not have to take stairs. The other family members found the upstairs bedrooms very comfortable. The house was clean, neat and well supplied. I have stayed in over a dozen VRBO's and this one ranks at the top.

Perfect Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a family vacation - 3 adults and 3 small children - and this home was as clean and impeccable as any place I've ever stayed. It's more beautiful than the photos for sure. We felt right at home, and it was a wonderful place to spend the evenings after a day out in the mountains. We saw deer in the evenings while we relaxed on the patio, and the surroundings were so quiet and peaceful. It was just lovely. It's in a more secluded area, but every convenience is just a couple of minutes away, and it's a quick drive into Colorado Springs. I would stay here anytime I was in the area. I can't recommend it enough, and David and Marie were so kind and pleasant to deal with. This place is perfection!

Mountain View Home

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Owners were kind and helpful. Their home is equipped with everything, you truly only need your toothbrush. Their home's location is close to Colorado Springs and Denver. Our 1 week stay was not long enough and we hope to return.

Close to Spruce Mountain Lodge

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful spacious home on large property. Fully equipped. Close to wedding venue at Spruce Mountain Lodge. Grandchildren loved the snow and the deer. Easy access to I-25 to get to Denver or Colorado Springs in 30-40 minutes. Garage parking for 2 cars. En suite bedrooms on both first and second floors. We would stay there again.

Perfect vacation rental!

  • 5 of 5

As 2 families traveling together this was the perfect vacation home for us! The owners were very easy to work with and answered all of my questions, provided secure guarantees, and were very helpful. Marie told us we only needed our toothbrushes and she was right! There was plenty of space for everyone, beautiful morning and evening areas to relax, gorgeous views, wildlife, proximity to many adventures (skiing copper mountain, garden of the gods, Denver, manitou springs, Co springs). There's a wonderful local breakfast cafe we patronned twice. We felt very welcomed and David and Marie went out of their way for us. While it's in the foothills and a break from the city, it has wifi, tv, modern appliances, luxury bath and comfort items, even your choice of hot tea/ coffee. They've thought of everything! We would love to return one day. Thank you!

As the past reviews say this a wonderful property and David and Marie are equally wonderful to work with. The home amenities are top notch, the views are amazing, the deck is awesome to relax on in the evening and our children enjoyed watching the deer at night. A great place to head home to after a full day in Colorado Springs (Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Helen Hunt Falls, Pikes Peak and the list goes on). Highly recommend for an active family who enjoys a quiet time after an action packed day. Thank you David and Marie for sharing your home. We will definitely return for another amazing stay.
