Robin Hood Cabin is nestled against the Stanislaus National Forest and close to Pinecrest Lake and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Relax in this charming cabin, located an upscale community. It's just a five-minute drive to Pinecrest Lake and ten minutes to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort.
This two-bedroom (located downstairs) plus large loft area (located upstairs), 1 1/2 baths cabin will comfortably sleep nine (9). The cabin features open beam ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen and large picture windows. The beautiful gas fireplace will keep you warm during the snow season and the air conditioner will keep you cool in the hot Summer months.
There is plenty of room for sitting and chatting in front of the fireplace or outside on the deck. The home offers lots of privacy.
Enjoy swimming, fishing and boating at nearby Pinecrest Lake. Dodge Ridge offers snowskiing and cross country skiing and there is snow tubing at Leland Meadows.
Hiking right behind the cabin! There is easy access during the winter and plenty of parking.
A perfect choice for your family! Plenty of games, movies, books, toys and even a dartboard. You will have loads of fun and create wonderful family memories.
We had a great time! The cabin was perfect for our family of 5: children 9yrs. old, 7 and 4. We hiked the local trail, just down the road from the cabin, ice skating at Long Barn, and sledding on the left-over Oct. snow on the hill, at Dodge Ridge. We stopped in Sonora to have dinner at the Diamond Back Grill, which was nice, and coffee at Sonora Joe's. We plan to come back for the March snow. Great view from the new deck! Nice neighbors, too.
The cabin had all amenities, including TV, DVD player, toys, games, and mags.. The only thing I recommend bringing is extra blankets, in Winter, dish gloves to wash dishes, and plenty of hot chocolate! True, the dryer takes a while to dry the sheets, etc.
This cabin has everything you will need, we did take our own linens, pillows, sleeping bags, ect. but that was for our comfort.... we did use the kitchen towels and bath towels... when we went, there was no snow on the ground, but we drove right up the road to Pinecrest and had tons of fun everyday. It is cozy, but there was plenty of room for our family of 2 adults, 1 teen, 1 baby and 3 kids 10y to 7y. The BEST burger place is Andy's Mountian Grill and Cafe in Mi-Wuk, right across the street from Diamond Jims. We drive up there 6 or 7 times a year just for those burgers!
It is a good idea for you to take your own t.p., papertowels, garbage bags, tinfoil, ect... but all dishes, pots, pans, toaster, microwave, coffe maker..... is all there in good condition.... On your last day get up early and start the house laundry.... it took a while for just the towels to dry even with the lint trap cleaned out. The vacs work ok, but just ok, it did take forever to vac the floors to a good clean standard.... and it was a bit dusty when we arrived.... we had the kids take care of that! Overall, we had a fab time hanging out with our kids, the cabin was great for our family(except the stairs-inside and outside- and the 2 year old, but we have stairs at home too) and is more than acceptable for any gathering your family/friends may be planning! We are already talking about going back this summer... be sure to check out the little book by the tv where some guests write about their visit... my family had fun reading that and making some notes of our own..... Thanks Susie, for sharing your cabin and being so easy to work with and being so affordable!
SPENT 2 NIGHTS AT THIS CABIN W/family it was a wonderful place very cozy kids loved playing in the snow that was every where
We enjoyed out stay at the Robin Hood Cabin. The cabin was accurately described is the listing, and the owner was pleasant and easy to deal with (all communication was efficiently done over email).
I really liked sitting on the desk that overlooked the forest. Me and my family were there supporting the Gold Rush 24-hour Adventure race and cabin the centrally located to the Long Barn Lodge, Beardsley Lake, and Dodge Ridge, with easy access to the highway.
Two families joined up in this house for a long weekend. The loft was great for the kids. Lots of room and games, fun. We played twister and watched Harry Potter from the video library. Functional kitchen with a nice size table for meals and games. Washer and dryer was convenient. It was clean and comfy. Well lived in but still nice. Neighborhood was great for walking around, lots of parking and not too hard to find. Very close to Pinecrest lake which was great. I would definately come back but the one drawback was it got a little hot and with just one air conditioning unit, took a while to cool down. There were fans and it helped but we had one night that was pretty warm for everyone.
Robin Hood Cabin is located in the Stanislaus Mountains at an elevation of 5,600. It is an ideal location for Summer and Winter sports. Dodge Ridge and Pinecrest Lake are nearby.
Other Activities: Pinecrest Lake, Dodge Ridge Ski Resort
Ski: Dodge Ridge is a short 10 minute drive from the cabin.
